$3.49 for a small ice cream cone that was the size of a " kiddie " cone! AVOID this rip off!

Not sure why all of these fast food restaurants suddenly thought that their food was worth twice as much as it was four years ago... $18 for a combo meal is ridiculous and this is across the board. I pretty much all of these fast food places now which are supposed to be cheaper than eating at a restaurant, but somehow they are not. read more

Disappointing experience, again. Soon after the new owners took over, I ordered a coney and fried mushrooms. Something about the coney didn't taste the same and my mushrooms were cold in the center. Plus, the prices were significantly increased. I chalked the price increases up to COVID and the subpar food prep up to inexperience. Fast forward to today. Good memories of DQ fried mushrooms entered my mind as I drove by, so I decided to give them another try. My first bite was hot and delicious. My second bite revealed a frozen center. I couldn't believe it. I drove back and entered the restaurant to get a replacement order. Neither the lady at the counter or the lady who took my order could address my case. A man came out to "handle" the situation. Instead of saying "I'm sorry for this, please allow us to replace or refund your order, and thanks for giving us another try.", he insisted on explaining to me how the fryer is on a timer and seemed more concerned with avoiding burning the outside of the mushroom than producing a quality product. He even claimed "sometimes these things happen". I told him I'm aware of how fast food works, I'd never had cold or frozen mushrooms in all the years I ordered during the previous ownership, and what are the chances that two orders a year apart would have the same issue? I found his responses arrogant, condescending, and lacking in responsibility. Although I was given a refund, no one ever said "I'm sorry". Just excuses and feigned politeness. Sooooo slow. Been waiting for two blizzards for 30 min or more. Only 8 cars ahead of me..... it just takes forever for something that's considered fast food. I've been to small owned business dairyettes that take much less time with more traffic. I don't know if it's just the "kids" running this place or what....... Ordered a Banana spit blizzard . What I got was vanilla ice cream with a couple chunks of banana and three small pieces of strawberries . No chocolate syrup and no pineapple. They may not know what a banana split is . The need to train their employees . Or get people who will do the job right. Outrages price for this product . Typically avoid this DQ because of bad past experiences and poor customer service but decided to stop there today because I wanted a drive thru (kiddos in car seats were with me) and soft serve ice cream! I was pleasantly surprised to not see a long drive through line at 5pm (typically the line is long and takes forever at this time in the past), and a NEW larger menu offering!!!! I ordered 2 kids twist soft serves with sprinkles and a medium Reese's blizzard! I got my order FAST and the customer service was excellent and to top it off my order was correct and I was charged correctly for my order. This was a HUGE change from my previous experiences at this location! I confirmed with my neighbor that recently this location is under NEW ownership which is GREAT news for the Hilliard community! Will definitely be back soon! BONUS they did the whole "flipping" upside down of my blizzard and I was shocked! If they had done this under the past ownership my blizzard would have NEVER passed... hence probably why they never did it or refused to do it! I would give this a 0 stars if i could. I'm not sure what happened when the new business owners took over. They don't participate in anything promotion related. I went in this week for the 85¢ blizzard and "they don't participate". They're really rude, didn't give me a chance to order. I was pulling up my DQ Rewards on my phone so I wouldn't forget to have him scan it. He just said "we don't participate". Even though, it's listed on yelp that it's a participating location. Anyways, I just left, probably wouldn't come again. DQ has always been a great part of childhood and these current owners are ruining that experience. I would comment on the food quality but again, didn't get anything. However, the last blizzard I got was really bad. It was one of the royal blizzards and tasted like cardboard. It wasn't tipped either (yes; i brought this up the DQ customer relations rep who just gave me rewards points). I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone, might be worth it to drive further and go to another location. read more

The wait here is horrible. I waited 35 minutes tonight to get a blizzard in the drive-through. There were probably only 10 cars ahead of me. No apology from the employee for the wait. Also my blizzard was a quarter melted by the time I got it. It was obviously made way before I got up in line. I expected to see a very minimal staff working when I got to the front of the line, but it was very well staffed in terms of numbers of people. This exact same thing happened last summer - I gave them a second chance and they failed miserably. I will not be back to this location. read more

Worst DQ ever. There were six kids working last night and it still took more than 10 minutes to get a blizzard. I didn't even get what I ordered. The girl asked me if I wanted Oreos - I said " No Oreos, M&Ms please"... and wouldn't you know, I got Oreos...and No M&Ms! Not only that, but it was FILTHY in there. One kid wiped somebody's ice cream cup down with a rag that was sitting in a bucket on the counter...how likely is it that the rag was designated for wiping off ice cream cups only? I have nothing nice to say about my experience here and I will gladly drive to the DQ on 5th in Grandview to avoid ever going here again. read more

This Dairy Queen has an awful selection. Never has any season or special offerings. The customer service is "meh." Sometimes it is nice, other times it is rude, but it is almost always unhelpful with questions. The drive-through is also maze-like, actually quite difficult to navigate. I'm surprised there aren't more vehicle and pedestrian accidents in the parking lot. What I will say though is that once you order one of the few things on the menu, they come out correctly. read more

I was hoping this store was permanently closed but I regret to report it's alive and kicking. This spot would be great for a Starbucks or another more unique eatery but alas this crap hole endures. It's dirty. I won't go in bc the smell activates my gag reflex. Admittedly, I'm sensitive but the place is very poorly maintained and smells like a cross of spoiled dairy, humidity, grime and apathy from the workers. If you must get something, get ice cream and sit outside. For god's sake don't order the food. Great service, and they always give you a little bit extra food for your buck. I've always gotten 5 chicken fingers in my 4 finger dinner and I always appreciate them doing that for me. Their blizzards are always mixed well and filled all the way up and they always give you enough ice cream. And the service is SUPER fast. Can't beat that! read more

This is the 2nd best Dairy Queen that I have visited and the best in Central Ohio. I have been here numerous times and I always feel like I get a quality product with friendly service. I know the owners have been active in the community and train their employees likewise. This place can get pretty busy in the evenings during the summer even with the Frozen yogurt competition beside them. They give you a full cup with your blizzard and usually blend the product in nicely. Some DQs have toppings in the top half but nothing in the bottom but I have always had toppings touching the bottom as well as the top. Don't ask me about their other products since I pretty much only order blizzards and ice cream. I like their blizzards and I usually can find a BOGO which makes me happier in the wallet. I frequently take my grand-children to this DQ for cones, sundaes and blizzards. I never recall having one complaint. The staff are all very courteous, prompt to take your order and keep the lines moving when it is very busy. My only suggestion is to be aware that in the hour or two after school in the warmer months, you can sometimes encounter a large group of school age kids. Today, a girls track team ended their run here about 3:30 pm. In my opinion, this is a well run DQ. Ordered blizzards today because it's hot out! Got the order with ice cream over flowing the cup with the lids on! Ugh. Served in the bag with no napkins and the short spoons..come on kids. Blizzards come with long spoons and you can use the blizzard blending cuff to scrap off the excess, if you put lids on. Try a little harder. read more

My wife and I were both craving hot dogs so we went there Saturday Sept. 23rd for lunch. The employees at the counter seemed more interested in discussing fashion, makeup and hairstyles then tending to good customer service. The buns on the hot dogs were stale. I know that this is a subjective thing but there was way too much relish on the hot dog. made it difficult to taste anything else. The milkshakes that we ordered were very much sub standard for Dairy Queen. Thin and the chocolate was not completely mixed on one of the shakes. I would recommend a refresher course on how to properly dress a hot dog; condiment proportions and how to make a Dairy Queen worthy milkshake. Terrible customer service from the owner Steve. Completely outdated and still being ran like its the 80's. Overcharged for only wanting to purchase a funnel cake and not the complete sundae, all the surrounding DQ's have figured out a price for the cake individually but this location is so out of touch, they cannot figure out the price difference between a medium sundae and the funnel cake sundae cost to get the price of the cake by itself. Seriously and the owner was ok that I was charged $9.18 for 2 palm sized funnel cakes because I didnt want to disappoint my child. He was like well they offered you the ice cream. Dairy Queen holds a nostalgic place in my heart so its always easy to visit. However, as much as my family loves their food, the service is always lacking. Whether its drive-thru or walk-in the staff is made up of high school students who would rather be texting or gossiping as opposed to serving the customer.
