The residents from Caliche Senior Living in Casa Grande, loves dairy queen. We had coupons for a free ice cream cone on April 27th. I took the them on the bus. They were so excited. The manager stated that if we read the fine print it was no valid at that DQ. I pleaded with her since we had driven there could she honor it and she refused 3 times, explaining that it was not valid. I had to tell the residents and they vowed to never go there again. What a disappointment and a sad, bad way to lose customers. Senior citizen at that. Whoever that manager was, hopefully she'll get old one day and expereince something similar. Waited by the counter to order for about ten minutes. It's 7pm on a Tuesday no line one car in the drive through. When I said "excuse me" politely (because I don't want to cause any issues but I would like to order) they still acted like it was an inconvenience. A lot of sighs, thought I saw an eye roll. Was just not a good experience. I try to not cause problems and have only left two negative reviews ever on Yelp. It's just frustrating when no one is available for an order during an off busy time. I took my longest to look at the menu and make noise so I wouldn't have to say anything. They seemed annoyed I ordered food not just ice cream. I had a very pleasant drive thru experience. My window server was Dannelle. Very pleasant and provided the extra Mayo and ketchup requested. My hot fudge sundae was picture perfect as was the correct portion size and ratio. My cheeseburger had a perfect butter toasted (not squashed) bun and was bagged correctly. Sketchy... my first complaint is this... They do not have a cash register at the drive-up window where you pay. The young lady took my credit card and disappeared for what seemed like about 5 minutes... In this day in age when credit card theft is at an all-time high, I can't believe anyone would have a register out of a customer's View. I will not return for this very reason. The slow service would be a second reason I would not return... Not to mention the customer service is seriously lacking. Not even a smile or have a good day... It was pretty much as you'd expect but I have to comment that there was a LOT of bees by the drive thru window and the speaker. I had to keep rolling my windows up and down because they were trying to fly into my car. Someone with allergies has a risk of getting stung and that could be tragic. Call a bee keeper or something. Stopped by here on my way home from Tucson and had pretty low expectations. Dairy Queens around the valley seem to have been letting me down the past couple of years. I ended up ordering a medium Oreo cookie blizzard and to my surprise, not only did they get the order correct, the cup was dry and clean on the outside. I can't tell you how many times I've ordered a blizzard and gotten a disaster of a cup from other locations. The Blizzard was the best I've had in years. There were lots of Oreo cookies in it, and there were a number of big chunks mixed in with the small bits which made it really good. They've also stopped using the really tiny horrible paper napkins that are completely useless, and started using quality thick paper napkins. This is going to be my new go to Dairy Queen. You have no idea how accurate the other 1 star reviews are towards the terrible service. This place is so SLOW! My family and I just wanted to quickly order through the drive through since it's a FAST FOOD restaurant. Only to be greeted with a "please give us one moment" and she made us wait 10 minutes when there was NO ONE else in line, it was dead silent at DQ, yet we had to wait 10 min to even order. After waiting we started to get angry and asked to hurry because we were in a rush and she literally said "hold on" and didnt explain why we had to wait. Then it took another 10 minutes to get our food. The employee was completely rude! Never coming here again. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME! Terrible terrible management....... read more

I ordered a dipped cone. As I waited I took a look at the mini fridge with their individual ice creams. I noticed a sign that said "Sugar free" when the box of icecream clearly stated "No sugar added." Anyone that is educated knows that there is a different between sugar free and no sugar added. Just letting you know DQ, if a diabetic buys your supposedly "Sugar Free" ice cream, it can be a big lawsuit. When my order was ready, I noticed the employee placed my lopsided cone on top of the counter this establishment is very unsanitary. Never buying again and praying my diabetic mother doesn't see the "sugar free" ice cream. read more

Stay away, I understand there is one further down the road - go there! I think all I have to say is the bathroom was FILTHY, hadnt been cleaned in a LONG time. The sink was black for God's sake! There was no hand soap or paper towels. I can only imagine what the kitchen looked like. When WE ordered we asked for four 4pc chicken finger meals. She said "So you want 16 pieces?" What??? I bought an icecream cake when i came home n seen that it wasnt just sprinkles on top i decided to taste it to see what it was and it was some candied peanuts, im so glad i tasted it first before i served it to my daughter that has a peanut allergy. The cake wasnt labeled with anything on what it contained, i took it back to the store and switched it for one with no peanuts, the lady apologized and said she will tell the manager to start labeling them. I get it, it's dairy queen so your expectations should be low from the beginning. However, it's not that difficult to make a blizzard. I spent the better part of my high school days working here and I could make a blizzard in my sleep even now 10+ years later. So when you order a banana split blizzard with no strawberries in the drive thru and you pull up only to be handed a banana split blizzard with strawberries, I don't get it. On top of that they handed me another item that belonged to the car behind me. I gave them the blizzard back and repeated that I asked for no strawberries. They remake it and this blizzard is literally just vanilla ice cream with LITERALLY one slice of a banana. Uhhh ok. I was better off taking my $5 and burning it because that blizzard went right out the window. I would have returned to the store to make a complaint but I was already back on the freeway. Came to this DQ last winter for the 5 buck lunch chicken strips and it was awesome. Lots of changes this winter. Food is certainly not as good as last year and they seem very short-handed this year. Had to wait almost 5 minutes for anyone to even show up to take our order. It was also much cleaner last winter. Our neighbor in the RV park said they went there and watched them clean the filter over the grill while their burgers were cooking. Totally unacceptable! They will never return and not sure I will either. Other most notable thing this year is that there is no longer a line at lunch time. Maybe others have noticed these problems as well. Pretty bad at making the items on the menu. The service was quick but I ordered the earthquake brownie and the girl making it was obviously new so I don't blame her. She asked one of the five people in the back how to make it and she served me something me a bowl of brownies with a little ice cream and chocolate on the bottom. I told her that it looked nothing like it she proceeded to add whip cream. I then asked where's the ice cream and she put more. It still wasn't right so she asked a person who came out of the back and she told her to bad that's how it's served. I told the girl look at the picture because it's missing chocolate, whip cream, brownies, and icecream. She asked the lady for help again and said to her in a louder voice so I could hear hear that she'll change it this onetime but that how it supposed to be like. I've bought this for my daughters at other dairy queens and I've had no problem with them making it. Note to management. Make sure the new girl knows how to make the items on the menu instead of having the experienced workers hiding in the back doing nothing.
