They are having a special on the grand slam so stopped in to give it a try. The pancakes are very good, and the rest was ok and based solely on the price would stop by again as long as they run the special. As a coffee person, the coffee was acidic and was a little hard to drink. Server was absolutely wonderful. Quick, efficient, and friendly. Ambiance. Ok this is tricky, it is Dennys. Not unlike the 1344 Dennys in the US. It is clean and busy. Parking is good and it is right off Florence Blvd in Casa Grande just west of I-10. Service seems a bit slow. There are 3 servers working. There were about 4 parties sitting in different areas. Had to wait 5 mins. before being seated. One server checked out 4 guest. They need a bell to check out people, when waiting at register or at the door. Food was nice and warm. My French toast was tasty & loved my eggs/sausage. I suggest using there rewards app as I got my slam free for my bday rewards. Plus they have free coffee this month or 10% off your bill. Great perks. This location is a bit outdated and needs a facelift. Plus more staff to help. Floors are a bit sticky and front door has kids hand prints all over them. This location is right next door to the hotel I stayed at over the weekend. My boys and I stopped in for dinner after a very long day. I haven't been to a Denny's in well over a decade. The dining room wasn't too full, there was one large party seated and a few more people came in while we were there. There weren't many We were immediately greeted with a hello and smile, and were taken to a table right away. Our drink orders were taken and we had an opportunity to browse the menu. I decided on a Strawberry Leomonade and a Cheeseburger with Avocado and bacon, crinkle fries, and a side salad. My drink was incredibly refreshing! It was a hot day, so the strawberry leomonade combination went over very well. My side salad came very quickly and was absolutely delicious! There was just enough dressing to cover the salad nicely. The croutons were very tasty! When my buger came out, I was suprised with how tall it was. The avocado pieces were sliced way too thick, as were the onion pieces. It was hard to get a full bite of the burger. I made do and enjoyed every bite anyway. The fries were really good, unfortunately, I couldn't finish them all because I was already full. Service was pretty good. I only gave 4 stars due to not receiving a box for the leftover fries in a timely manner. If it wasn't for the buy one slam get another at $1 the prices would've been a tad high for my taste, but where is that not the case right now? I love the service at this Denny's! I started my visit by greeting Alayna at the host stand. She was super friendly and quick to find us a table. Some people come off as bothered to see customers, but she was excited to see us! Then my family and I were served by Valerie. She's super sweet and nice. It's common "go to" sitting restaurant, but my kiddos said we've tried a few different Dennys location but this particular one which is local for us now. We had to try, and see how they are... I'm giving the 4**** because the server was kind and attentive, the food was okay, not all that great. But it's common taste...I think I'm just gonna stick to the zesty nachos in the starter all the other food was just not so appetizing to me. Plus the 4 star to assure for better business in our town. Way overpriced unless you order one of the special slam deals. Two of us ordered basic breakfasts and two iced teas. Our bill was $40, not including tip, and the food wasn't great. Eggs were overcooked and oil used for hash browns tasted old. We should have sent everything back, but we had waited nearly 25 minutes for our food. We come to Denny's on Florence Blvd in Casa Grande every week. We think the food is great and the wait staff is great. Especially Barbara! Actually, we come here just to see Barbara to say "hi". She's the sweetest waitress we've had and knows just what we want and brings us our favourite drinks when she comes for the first time to the table to greet us! She is very funny and we laugh a lot when she serves us. She keeps an eye on us and is there with refills without us needing to call her. Denny's is lucky to have her! I was pleasantly surprised. Service was EXCELLENT. We were there at a quiet time - about 2:30 on a Friday afternoon, so the servers weren't under pressure. They also said that since the cooks weren't slammed, they could accommodate special requests, like deep-frying the hash browns. I'm really funny about menus with pictures - because we all know that the food does not come out looking like that, so sometimes I order something that I will be less disappointed about if it doesn't come out looking like the picture. So I ordered the patty melt. Well, I'll be darned if it didn't look just like the picture! Very crispy crust on the grilled bread, and nicely grilled onions, creamy melted cheese and a burger - everything else just perfect. The Hubbs got the Grand Slam with the whole grain pancakes - again, everything just perfect except the hash browns. The server took the hash browns back and had them fix them the right way. I also saw the staff working very actively on cleaning the restaurant while we were dining. Everyone was helping. And the friendly greetings amongst the staff during shift change showed teamwork. Kudos to management. I get that times are hard, and this location is easy access from the freeway, so it can get crazy busy at times.
