Burger with bacon and cheese combo

This DQ has a convenient location and easy to find on the southwest corner of the junction of Hwy. 87 and I-10 and provides a nice place to stop for food if you're on the road. I have family in north Texas near the Oklahoma border and live in the Rio Grande Valley, so when I need to "waltz across Texas" as the song says, I have stopped here on more than one occasion. My few and sporadic visits here have been consistently positive. It's never been crowded when I have stopped by. The service has been good, and the food hot and fresh. This time was no exception. I found the restroom and dining room to be clean. Their prices and menu are the same as all DQs which are popular throughout Texas. Besides burgers and American style tacos, and chicken strips DQ is known for their soft serve ice-cream, ice-cream cakes, shakes, and the Blizzard. If you've never tried the Blizzard, I recommend it. I always get the smallest one which is enough for me. Once my wife and I threw a birthday party for a friend who likes ice-cream cakes, so we got one from the local DQ. It was beautifully made and custom decorated with blue icing, her favorite color. What we didn't realize until we were eating it is the blue icing will temporarily color your teeth and tongue! All of a sudden we were looking at each other with puzzled and astonished expressions as we noticed the ones across the table had sapphire blue teeth and lips... and of course, we all did... the bewilderment turned into laughter as we pointed at each other and checked out our temporary cyan smiles in the mirror... So whether you're looking for a nice pit stop, a cool treat, some vittles or to liven up a party, check them out.

It may have taken 3 times for her to get our order, but she got it right and it was hot and delicious. No complaints otherwise.

These ladies are the nicest, including the one that wears the "I Don't Share" T-shirt.

I can't believe other folks gave such negative reviews, it's Dairy Queen, not the Taj Mahal. Staff is always friendly and the ice cream is cold. Burgers, tacos, and chicken strips. Drive thru is quick but I always walk in because I'm dying to know when the bathroom remodel will get finished. It started before we went on vacation a month ago. It looks great but I have know who their contractor is so I don't make the mistake of hiring them. Overall it's just another DQ in another small Texas town but it might as well be the Community Center.

My husband's family is from here so every time we visit, we HAVE to come eat. It's a non-negotiable in our marriage- ha! We get the ruben sandwich and forget to snap a photo each time. Maybe one day we will remember, but we're always too excited for the food. We also have to get one of their giant chocolate chip cookies or some ice cream. The lines are out the door half the time, but it always seems to go through very quickly which is an upside. The only downside is the one person bathrooms when things are busy there. Make sure you use the bathroom before you come by, because if it's an emergency you may be running outside looking for a store with a bathroom available. 1000/10 recommend this place.

The cute diner style allows for comfortable seating inside. Other than our server who seemed to be in a rush when taking our order, with no one after us, the rest of the visit went well. Kids obviously loved their ice cream cones and we opted to split the banana split that we were unable to finish. When ordering the banana split and requesting what we wanted on it, our server seemed annoyed so we just got it as it came to make her job easier. It was ok.

Since we're both salted caramel fans, we were sold. Careful when you're looking for it (and you should), since it's got a small sign and the window is on the side of the building. (See pics) We can fully endorse the review that brought us; the salted caramel crunch was absolutely amazing. Steve uses top shelf ingredients and makes his own caramel. The ice cream is smooth and delicious. It's creamy (but not the gooey, mouth coating stuff made by a mega corporation pretending to be Scandanvian). There are chocolate chunks, about 1/8" thick, probably made from the quality chocolate that they use for other flavors. It's like home made if the person at home was an expert chef. I can't wait to go back.

I tried the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and Birthday Cake flavors, which both tasted great. The birthday cake ice cream tasted slightly artificial, but the sprinkles added a fun crunch. The chocolate chip cookie dough tasted like real cookie dough and had small bites of their homemade cookies mixed throughout, though I do wish the chunks were bigger. Both flavors were creamy, not icy, and not overly sweet. Overall, it's a delightful stop downtown with easy, quick service and a lovely courtyard to enjoy your scoops. I'd happily come back and recommend it to anyone visiting Fredericksburg.

I have no expectations about the food here - especially fish and chips. Ever since I tasted fish and chips in England many years ago, there's not a place in Texas that comes close to British fish and chips. So, imagine my surprise when this cod fish dinner at Culver's was placed in front of me to eat. Cod is the only fish I will eat for fish and chips. This fast food place has cod! Not only that, for a limited time, they have Walleye fish and chips dinner! I went to town on this fish dinner. Bought one each and took home the walleye dinner for tonight's dinner. Anyway, the fish was cooked almost perfectly - just a little oily but this is a fast food place not a British pub! That first bite was crunchy, hot and surprisingly delicious! I was able to finish 2 of the 3 I had ordered. It came with Cole slaw, a roll and of course French fries. What a surprise that was! As for the walleye dinner, I had to eat it the next day. It got reheated in the air fryer and it came out hot, crunchy and oh, so tasty! Ambiance wise, the place is refrigerator cold. If ever I go back there during lent this year, I will bring a jacket! Overall, I'm very impressed with the food. It's not British pub quality but for a fish and chips place in Kerrville, TX, this was quite a very nice surprise. I would go back there for fish and chips. England across the pond is quite a long way from here for the real fish and chips but I'll take Culver's fish and chips any time the mood hits me.
