They have salads, burgers, wraps, and sides at fairly reasonable prices for the serving size. Burgers are about $10-15 while sides are $2-3. The original burger is a half pounder and it tasted great! It was juicy enough albeit a little on the saltier side. The veggies on top are fresh and generously added while the burger was neatly wrapped for to-go. Burgers were amazing!!! Fried pickles were also amazing... fried onions were interesting. I wont say they were bad. They had an intresting beer batter flavor. Overall a great place. 7.5/10. If the fries were fresh and not stale they would received an 8.5. I do recommend trying the burgers. The service was amazing order appetizers and they came out in less than 15 minutes. We were in the area for the lights and seen this place was nearby, so we tried it out. Parking is limited and there is an attached beer garden as well. You go up to counter to order then they call your number when food is ready. When you walk in it looks like there is limited seating but there is more seating to the left. We ordered a blue cheese burger, Deuce Burger and a crispy chicken salad. The burgers were delicious and its a good size patty. The chicken was good in the salad. Nice local spot with great tasting burgers and tried the blackberry cobbler that was good as well. We took that to go. You get the small ma/pa shop feel. Once again, loving this spot. On our way thru to SA for the weekend and starving after a long day. It's Friday, so it was busy, but they seemed to be moving along smoothly. Seems to be a family favorite stopping by here from or to Dallas or even midway (Temple). Also seems to be a very popular spot for most as well with the ample cars parked along side the restaurant! Once I know it is family owned I get really excited about the establishment The place is super cute! Very Texas like! The service is really efficient even though they were busy! Fries have a lovely seasoning that is a little spicy. Something about the texture wasn't my favorite though. The chicken bacon wrap is nothing special, I wouldn't get it again. This place is new to us. It's kind of a small place with limited seating inside. However, they do have quite a bit on seating out back in the beer garden area. There is no table service and you order at the counter. If you like beer with your food, they have a nice selection of bottled beer ( Bud Light, Modelo, XX, Corona, Shiner, Lone Star, etc. My hubby and I both ordered the Dyna meal. It's a 1/4 lb burger, fries, and a 16 oz drink for $9.95. I must say that it's a pretty good meal deal. The burger was nicely prepared. I got mine without mustard and mayo, and was still juicy and delicious. The fries came out piping hot. I couldn't finish them because it was a really good sized side. For dessert, we shared a blackberry cobbler ala mode. It was a bit disappointing because it was mostly breading and hardly any of the filling. I think the best part was the ice cream. It looks like a typical small town local joint when you see it, but don't let that stop you! Definitely some great food to be had when you come in. I didn't order anything special--although they do have specialty burgers for people who want more than the usual. Their house burger was pretty dang good, cooked with flavor and juicy but NOT greasy (you know, with the ingredients sliding around between the buns making it sloppy and hard to eat). Just got fries on the side, and those were just as good, with a flip of seasoned salt on em. Had to get kids' meals too, and there's actually 4 to choose from! The kid burger was also cooked with care, the hot dog was big, the grilled cheese fresh, and the chicken tenders came with gravy! No skimping just because it's a children's meal! I'm sure you're thinking "it's popular so it'll be expensive!" Not really; two adults and six kids ate for $65, each combo including fries and a drink (I upsized the adult drinks to large). Considering two adult combos at Whataburger can cost almost $30, this is well within range for fresh food. There's lots of seating inside (though it's a little tight) and outdoor seating if you have restless littles. The people were friendly and kept the space clean and cozy. Food came out fresh and exactly what we ordered. Recommend their huge chocolate chip cookie for dessert. :) Seriously, this is a small sleeper. Classic road-house burger kind of place. Great atmosphere, definitely a local favorite judging by the packed dining room. Had the classic hamburger combo, pretty standard patty and fries, but it was nice and hot. Yikes, they gave me a quarter-head of lettuce on the burger, but that was easy enough to remedy. On the whole I'd recommend stopping in and supporting local business. Be sure that you have lots of time, though. Fat Boy may serve burgers but it's not a fast-food outlet, you'll be waiting on your food to be cooked to order, and they take their sweet time. After a short hiking adventure at Perdenales Falls state park we were hungry & decided on Fat Boy Burgers. The positives about this place is that the burgers are homemade and huge. You can actually probably share one with your significant other if you're not starving and it has a really good price point and it's very close to the park as you exit and leave those were the only positive things that I could say about this place actually it has a nice little atmosphere and it's a cute little place to either sit outdoors or sit inside. the thing that was disappointing was the service is horrific. I understand that a lot of these businesses are privately owned. I also understand it's a very small town, but if you want to stay in business service is your second most important item that you can give to your customers walking into the place the people in the back are yelling at everybody to keep the door closed. The cashier doesn't really greet you. It's kind of just like a little statue there and they just kept yelling at customers to keep the door closed because the line was starting to form outside the restaurant . if that's such a big problem, they need to put a big sign that says do not leave the door open They were just rude across the board and even though the burger was good and the price was decent. Not a huge fan. We hit this joint on our way back to San Antonio following a weekend camping trip. Arrived right at noon, and were met with a line almost out the door. Okay, no big deal. What was a big deal is how long it took for us to actually order. Look, I'm perfectly fine with friendly people behind the counter, but not during the Sunday lunch rush. I mean, I'm not saying I want employees to be rude, I just think there should be more focus on moving people through the line efficiently when there's a crowd. Love the ambiance of the place and the cool outdoor seating area. Seems like a good joint for entertainment. We had the perfect weather to sit outside. Food was decent. The burger was definitely worth the price, but the patty was under seasoned and the patty/bun ratio was off, which left last bites of mostly bread. Tots and fries were perfect, though. I had one additional issue with service. As we waited for our food, wait staff delivered food to a family of six seated near. Now, Fat Boy Burgers serves their food in those plastic baskets with a piece of paper - no big deal, but what I saw struck me as unsanitary. As the food was delivered, I noticed the orders stacked up on one large tray. In other words, the burger buns came into DIRECT CONTACT with the BOTTOM side of those plastic baskets. Look, I'm sure the plastic baskets are clean, but you never know what happens during food preparation. If you're going to stack food that way, fine, but add a piece of paper or SOMETHING so there's no possible contamination.....or how about using a second tray so you don't stack the orders? read more

After a visit to science mill, we were super hungry and with a quick Yelp search, decided to try out FBB, it was bit late lunch and as it was super hot on the outside, so inside dine in was almost full. It's bit tight inside and not clean, so many flies, there was only one person who was cleaning the table, wiping the table and goes inside and brings the food out, no washing hands, gloves are whatsoever. we ordered chicken wings, chicken burgers with jalapeño bread I think, onion rings, curly fries, chicken tenders( kids meal ) Chicken wings were just ok. curly fries were not crispy but hot( temperature wise ) my husband liked his chicken burger, but it was almost $10ish but doesn't come with any side with it. onion rings were like literally drenched in the oil. kid's chicken strips, on the menu it says, it comes with gravy, which wasn't there, only strips and fries, they gave so much fries, it was sticking together like one big lump and not a bit crispy. Stopped here on our drive back to Austin. This is the only burger place within a 30 min drive every direction so if you're craving one, this is the place to go.
