This 5 star is in relation to it being a fastfood burger company-- but it's a 5 star nonetheless. As a Texan I'm a bit ashamed to admit that this location makes Wataburger (which is like 50 feet away from this DQ) look absolutely awful in comparison. My relationship with DQ isn't great either; at one point they changed their fries to be way too thick and thus never cooked all the way through and starchy, similar to Wendys. Overall the quality plumited as opposed to how it had been since what I remembered when I was a kid and I practically abandoned it altogether. But at least at this location (maybe all thanks to Mayfield who owns this particular franchise) the fries are back to their normal, crispy hot goodness, and every burger I have had has been too hot to eat initially because it's been right off the grill, which is an absolute plus in my book. The employees also seem to always be having an authentically good time, which is also very important to me and reflects well upon the quality of life they're recieving in relation to the work they do. Another bad burger joint in Williamson county. I had visited this place in the past, only to ask for a refund and then leave, vowing never to return. Now the DQ has a sign touting a new owner and is undergoing a major remodel. Let's try again. Better, but still not worth $7 for a burger, fries, and drink. All I expected was some fresh food. I was the only person in the restaurant. I got my order in under 1 minute, and it was old fries from a heat lamp and a burger that was made before I got there. I asked for a refund after one bite. I told them I was expecting hot and fresh food, and this wasn't it. read more

My first disappointment at GT DQ. What do you mean, the Salted Caramel Truffle Blizzard is no longer available?? Huh? It was hailed a favorite and was so popular as a Blizzard of the Month, that it was moved to a permanent menu item. I drove 7.5 miles last night to DQ for a brief respite from being home bound to enjoy my favorite treat ...emotional necessity. Alas, nope. Only went in for a couple of ice cream cones, so cannot rate the other food. I have not stepped foot in a DQ in quite some time, but had fond memories of getting a blizzard or other frozen treat when I was younger. First thing I saw was how high the prices were! Now being I have not been in a DQ for some time, I know that prices are subject to change and go up from time to time. I remember getting a steak finger basket for about $3.99 just a few years ago, now, it is almost $10. For 2 small soft serve ice cream cones, it was just under $4. The same kind of soft serve ice cream you can get for free at a lot of places. I recently dropped by this DQ to test out the Chicken Tenders. I have a friend who raves about them, and I wanted to see if the Mayfield DQ's hand-breaded tenders were really worth it. I ordered a 4 piece (hoping for only a snack), but ended up with a meal! There were 4 nice big juicy pieces of chicken in there, with fries and toast. I really enjoyed it, and will visit again next time I am driving by. read more

The Georgetown Dairy Queen is Awesome !!! My experience was great. The food was very good. The restaurant and the restrooms are very clean. But, what is really great about this store is the service they greet you when you enter the door, bring your food to the table and the staff is happy. I was in this store on August 27th 2012 around 8:30 p.m it was busy. There was two (2) ladies working hard at the register & taking food out & they had a speaker thing on there head talking through and running to the window on the side just moving as fast as they could. But you know I watched those 2 ladies from my seat not once did they miss telling a customer hello when they come in and goodbye when they left. They were pleasant when taking orders & delivering orders. Even though they were busy they did not let it effect there service to the customers. I tried to see their name tags but was unable but I noticed the TV screen with employee pictures and found their pictures. Last night my wife and I had probably one of the worst experiences at this DQ we have ever had. We are not the type of people the sit and write reviews but when we say WORST EXPERIENCE bare with us. The person taking the order at drive was EXTREMELY RUDE. The tone in his voice when he said " Mayfield Dairy Queen This is Kevin How can I Help you" is was as if we had trespassed on HIS personal property. Bare with me that just the beginning. As we being to order before we could finish the first sentence again a very rude " ANYTHING ELSE" was said this happened at 4 times in our order. This is the part that Really Got us the most. As the order was placed (which by the way took forever because we kept getting interrupted )we are sitting there in line and all we hear is " making these drinks for these F****** people". I'm not sure why nor what we did to become all that but that's NOT ACCEPTABLE!! Now I wish we could stop there but it continued. As we get to the window the )only guy that was on drive was in a blue shirt and had tattoos he stuck out like a sore thumb which i would assume he's manager ?) he looks our direction scratches himself ( yes that area) and without hesitation continues with making our ice cream. When he finally come to the window he just yelled our total handed us our ice cream ( which by the way was NOT CORRECT) we already had such a hard time with him we didn't bother having him fix it. We write all this to say that Mayfield Dairy Queen was our favorite place to go but I don't think my family and I will be returning any time soon. read more

We drive from Jarrell atleast once a week, to try different places to eat and one Sunday i told my husband lets try a good ole DQ. First of all their burgers are amazing, we both agree they taste like someone cooked them on a bbq smoker, we get the belt buster and the cheese is so gooey and melted tons of flavor with each bite, and the french fries are crisp and everything is hot and fresh! the buns look amazing not like other places where you have to wonder if they sat on them, nope not these. we have found the burgers here look just like the picture and taste like what you would imagine and more. the staff we have interacted with at the drive window is amazing, you never feel rushed because of the line, no they are on top of each order and do it in a timely fashion without rushing you, yesterday saturday we stopped by and had our two dogs with us and the young lady at the window asked if we wanted dog cups, it was about 5:00 so it was hot we said yes please and she did it without any attitude of them being extremly busy or anything. really made our experience extra special. The team is some very nice young people their work flow is just amazing and shows in their food and presentation. i hope this company really embraces what a wonderful group of people they have. p.s. please open a DQ in Jarrell with the same great food and wonderful people. we really enjoy our trips to this DQ and have been a total of 3 times so far but now its our tradition! A bit disappointed because my fiancé was not offered the military discount even after he had brought it to the cashier's attention after we had ordered and paid. The young man did not offer anything in exchange for the mistake either. We just happened to notice the signs once we sat down. There is nothing at the register that indicates the 20% military discount and it was never mentioned during the time we ordered. There were no concerns with the food however. read more

The store is great,clean and employees just plain awesome.Im very disappointed though.About a year ago I stole one of my daughters chicken strips,and was totally amazed.the quality surpassed all the chicken places that specialize in chicken.wow.then 6 months ago they no longer do the hand breaded strips.The difference is huge.From best to worst.I use to eat there 2 times a week with my family of 4.I also use to get about 3 times a week a triple berry smoothie.great product at a great price.Last week I was informed they no longer have smoothies.very disappointed again.Have probably lost me as a customer.I guess ill spend my $4000 a year somewhere else.makes me sad.As a owner of a couple convienience stores I understand the importance of offering something for every kind of customer.Even if not a huge seller its still important basic fundamental of business.The slogan quality matters.Yes it does.Im sure I'm not the only one who feels this way.please bring back the quality chicken tenders and the smoothies.ty.i love the people and the place.but........... read more

went through the drive thru at this dairy queen at around 9 30 tonight and got chicken strips for me and my family. started eating at home and the chicken strips were extremely salty. i thought ok what ever im extra hungry so I'm not going to complain. two chicken strips in i find myself pulling a long ass thick ass black hair out of my mouth. I've never had this happen to me I'm disgusted. Im just glad my one year old didn't digest that. GROSS. we will never return read more
