This Hat Creek in Georgetown is excellent. They have a convenient drive-through. They have seating inside and outside. They have a play place for the children. They have a parking lot that backs up to the wildlife. When I eat in my car, I love to sit there and look at the beauty of Texas. They have wonderful sauces and they even have a tail-wagging cup for the fur-baby, which my dog loves. The customer service could not be better. Everyone who I have come across at this restaurant over the last 2 1/2 years has been outstanding. I recommend this restaurant to everyone I meet but it's in this area. I have a mother and Assisted Living and I have Hat Creek deliver food to her using the Hat Creek app ,and she loves it. The app is really good. I seem to get something free every time I visit! They have food for everyone. They have gluten-free food. They have lots of burgers. They have kids meals with apple juice and my granddaughter loves those. The food was not spectacular or even worth coming back for. The potato fries were good, but the burger was bland and dry. The fried pickles were ok, the batter wasn't great. I also got loaded tots, not so loaded. I'd say skimpy on the "loaded". The service was okay, everyone was relatively friendly. The vibe is kid friendly and the playscape was nice. Hat Creek never disappoints. Normally I am a burger fan, but today tried the fried chicken sandwich with cheddar and I added a slice of bacon. The chicken was great, in both taste and texture! I also love the fact they fry in tallow - a better choice for me. The other thing I appreciate is the size of the side in a combo. It always comes out even - bite for alternate bite! Very disappointed with this location. First of all 4 items, 2 of them being the cheapest sides totalling to nearly 30 dollars is outrageous. Makes me want to just go to any other burger joint. I've been to upscale burger places that don't charge those prices. Secondly the turkey burger was terrible. Small little emaciated unseasoned patty, clearly frozen and low quality meat. To charge 8 dollars for a low quality, small, unimpressive piece of meat makes me feel like I've actually just been robbed. Other food was fine, but just fine. Not good or impressive in any way for what you pay. Wish I had saved my money and gone somewhere else, would have gotten double the food and of good quality. Chicken tenders were also small, unimpressive, and way too expensive for the quality you get. Y'all need to increase your portions and lower those prices any way you can without sacrificing quality. First visit to this restaurant via drive thru.?Person taking the order wasn't paying attention to questions we had and ushered us thru. No line or other cars. Ordered a pretzel burger and a salad with chicken and ranch dressing on the side. Burger meal was supposed to have tots which were missing. Salad had field greens and tops of romaine as bottom of the bowl and a fried cut up chicken tender, a few grape tomatoes and a sprinkle of shredded cheese in opposite quadrants of the bowl. Great spot for burgers in Georgetown, especially if you have kiddos. They have an awesome playground area that's completely shaded by trees, and there are tables outside to sit and eat at. It does get very busy during dinner and parking can be an issue, but great spot overall. Burgers and fries were good and my kiddo loved the grilled cheese. Our order came out fairly quickly. It could have been a little cleaner inside and outside, but there was someone coming around trying to wipe tables. I would definitely come back-very family friendly! read more

My family and I visit this location often. Whether dine-in or drive thru, we've always had friendly service and delicious food too. There can be long wait times during peak hours, but not all the time. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. The facility is clean and typically always stocked. I really like the closed in, outdoor seating, where you can watch the kiddos play outside. There is plenty of outdoor space to run and play safely. There is also an enclosed playscape with a slide. The littles enjoy going here for food and play time. I always get the big hat with tots and fry sauce. My fave! My son adds bacon. There are adult beverages as well. Why not! We returned to give Hat Creek another try. We ordered 2 Keto Bowls, 2 burgers and sweet potato fries. The Keto Bowls are very good. Beef Pattie's are moist and have good flavor. My boys loved the burgers rating them the best in Georgetown. That is high praise because they love good burgers. My wife really liked the sweet potato fries. Hat Creek is a favorite when I am in Georgetown. I come down here 1-2 times a year for a week at a time and always stop here once (or twice... or three times). On my last visit, I got the "Little" Hat with jalapeno, American cheese, and bacon, and I have recently tried their excellent chicken! Little is in quotes because even a single patty burger here is more than enough! The ability to customize your burger how you want it and the sauce bar so you can add more and have something to dip your side in is another big plus! The tots here are my personal favorite! For carb/gluten-free eaters, there are bunless options too! The staff is always friendly and willing to answer any questions and don't mind making suggestions. I stopped in after the recent deep freeze and unfortunately, their soda machines were out of order, but they did still have lemonade and teas available which suits me just fine since I like to mix tea and lemonade! The play area out back looks to be new since I was here last, it's MUCH larger. The dining room was clean, the condiment bar was well stocked and tidy, and other than the dining area being cold (it shouldn't be cold in Texas so that's not on them) I rate this amongst my Georgetown favorites! read more

This is my favorite place to take my son for a meal out. The back yard playground and outdoor seating make this a haven for families with energetic children. That said, the food isn't very consistent in that sometimes the burgers are fantastic, and sometimes they're as dry as the Arabian desert. What is consistent, however, is how long the food takes once ordered - too long to call "fast" casual. And when you have cars in the drive through, it's like you forget all about the in-house customers whose food you were prepping, so the wait times increase. Due to wait times, cold fries are a common occurrence here, and you're also often out of tea. I've eaten here a few times where the soda fountains didn't work, and the teas weren't refilled, meaning you had nothing but water for the cups your customers paid for. Still, I don't come here for food and drinks. I come here so my son can run around the playground. If I judged you by your food, I'd probably only give you one or two stars. Given I come here at least twice a week, I feel like I can say on authority that you need to do better in the kitchen. I get why some of the other regulars sneak outside food into your play area... Also, you should move your menus to behind the counter and add a window where the current menus are, because y'all are terrible at hiding in the kitchen and leaving your customers waiting at an empty counter.
