The food tastes good but the service sucks. We had to wait for 10 minutes until they noticed us. They also kept messing up our orders and being rude about it. On a recent visit to Bandon, I went to Dairy Queen at about 8 PM just to get a burger and they were extremely busy. I decided to wait and when I finally got to the speaker, the manager said I'm sorry we're so busy, it might be a little while. While waiting, I noticed a lot of baseball players going into the restaurant and I thought oh there must've been a game that's why it is so busy. When I got to the window to get my food it had been quite a long wait but this manager could not have been nicer. I asked if there had been a baseball game and she said yes unfortunately you came at the busiest time of the day after the games got done. I told her I had a son that played baseball, I understand and what a great time it is for the parents as time goes by so fast, my son is now an adult, she agreed, apologized for the wait and gave me my food. The burger was one of the best Dairy Queen burgers I've ever had and I was so impressed with her patience and kindness, even on such a hectic night. read more

was just at the Bandon Dairy Queen approximately an hour ago. So around 4:30, Sunday the 26th of Jan, 2020. The speaker at the drive thru was broken. No worries, we went inside. A very nice young man took our order, but the ice cream machine ran out of mix when he went to make blizzards. He put more mix in, then a not so nice young lady took over making the blizzards. She managed to get the mini made (unfortunately. It was like frozen water and my mom ended up throwing it away) before the ice cream machine just stopped working. They fiddled with it a bit, but after waiting approximately 15 minutes with no sign of ice cream from the machine, I said to the young woman, "I'll just get a refund. I'm not prepared to wait here another 20 minutes hoping it will work." She replied, "We just got a new system and I don't think anyone knows how to do a refund." So I waited another 5 minutes or so, still with no sign of ice cream from the machine, at which point I said, "You need to figure out how to refund my money, because I am not prepared to sit here and wait." By this point the young man had come back to the front, and the young lady says, again, "We just got a new system and no one knows how to do a refund!" Well GUESS WHAT. I don't care! Work it out and give me back my money, since you can't give me the product I paid for! She was absolutely unwilling to help more than telling me no one knew how to do a refund. If it had been up to her, I would probably still be standing in the store at a complete stalemate. I wasn't leaving without the blizzard or the money, she wasn't willing to figure out how to refund my money. Finally, the young man called the manager who tried to walk him through the refund process but in the end he gave me the refund and apologized for the problems. It's all good, I understand things like that happen, but this young woman's absolute unwillingness to do anytjing to help was simply unacceptable. Thankfully, the young man was able to actually use some common sense to figure out how to help. I will be avoiding that store. I wont go back to it again. The Reedsport Dairy Queen is pretty much the only one on the south coast of Oregon I will even go to anymore. Awful, awful service from all but one nice young man. read more

Moved to Bandon six months ago and I've tried every single restaurant in town. Most are great and people are friendly. But I had yet to go to Dairy Queen because in my mind it doesn't really "count" as a restaurant. I thought I would get a blizzard and treat myself on a Saturday afternoon. What a mistake. There was one person ahead of me in the drive-through and so I pulled in behind them. I waited for over two minutes by the speaker to order and kept saying "hello" to no response. So after several attempts I figured it was broken and pulled up behind the car that was at the window. Then, shortly after, an older woman with a headset on stormed out of the back door screaming at me that I need to order by the speaker. I told her I tried but I thought it was broken because nobody answered after several attempts. She was literally screaming at me that I was cutting in line and that I needed to go around to order and that they were "very busy" (even though there was only one car in the drive-through and the lobby is closed for customers). I decided to leave and forget the blizzard. I will never go there again. So many better places to get food in this small town where you were actually supporting families and small businesses and not some of these rude employees that work at Dairy Queen that clearly don't care about customer service. read more

The Blizzards are solid, but the food quality is flat out awful. Came to Bandon, Oregon for the first time ever and got DQ for the first time ever as well, and could not have had a worse meal. I ordered a double cheeseburger meal with extra pickles, and a mint girl scout cookies blizzard. The fries came unsalted and were very bland, the burger was the plainest and most boring burger I have ever had in my entire life. The "extra" pickles was a total of 4 mediocre sized pickle slices. 10/10 Do not recommend ever wasting your money here. read more

This is the worst fast food facility I have ever experienced in my life. I lived in Bandon for a summer to work at the resort and went here multiple times. I gave it multiple chances and I don't know why I went back because it progressively got worse and worse. Though the wait time was pretty long, it is understandable. They are pretty busy being the only fast food near the area and open later than most places. Also, they seem to be short staffed. I ordered a deluxe cheesebuger and took a seat. A man called my number and brought out my food. I opened the burger wrapper to find a cold burger and unmelted cheese. I tore open the burger to find it was under cooked so I took it up to the counter to show them. The girl didn't say anything, she just took the burger and walked into the back. I waited a couple minutes and the guy brought me out a new one. It was so hot I could hardly hold it in my hand. I asked him if they microwaved it and he said they "boost" all their food. I said, "The buns too?". He didn't say anything. I opened the burger up and the lettuce had been nuked to slime and the mayonnaise was so hot it was separating. It's not as bad as people make it sound. DQ is not gourmet fare, it's an ice cream shop that also sells burgers and stuff. We stopped in about 12:30 with a group of nine, they got us our food efficiently and with no mess ups. I haven't dined at any other DQ locations recently to compare it with, but it was about what I remembered: a (short) step up from McDonalds, with good ice cream. We also got a box of Buster Bars, but I'm not including them in the review, because that would artificially inflate the score :) read more

This place looked like such a dump from the outside that when I pulled up to the intercom, I started to leave because I thought this place was closed down for renovations. But some sweet little voice on the other end said "May I help you?" and I got my ice cream fix for the day. Strawberry cheesecake & Butterfinger Mix Blizzard is the way to go. Ok this is Dairy Queen for petes sake. It is not a gourmet burger joint. This is kids fresh out of high school earning minimum wage deep frying frozen food. That being said, the customer service here was stellar. Everyone we encountered behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. The chicken fingers and Blizzards were delicious. Dinner and desserts for two for under $20 plus really nice service. Highly recommend. read more
