Would give negative 5 stars if I could. We just got home after picking up 3 Blizzards for the family. I'm not sure what we got, but they were the most rancid tasting things I've ever had at a restaurant before. One of them tasted like either something REALLY spoiled was used, or maybe some cleaning chemicals got into it or something else I don't even want to think about. Another tasted horrible but not nearly as bad, and the third one seemed OK but we weren't going to trust it after the other 2. My wife tried it too, just to make sure it wasn't just me, but it was clear that something was VERY wrong with the food. I put it in the freezer for now to make sure I have it on hand in case we get sick as I'm half tempted to bring it to someplace to be tested for poison or chemicals. I tried calling the restaurant and just get a "the voicemail box isn't setup" recording for 30 mins straight so gave up. I tried going to DQ's website, including the link they share on responses here, but apparently they don't have any corporate oversight and just blame everything on individual franchises. No contact info for any owner other than a phone number that doesn't work. Well lesson learned, never going back here again. I'll dispute it with my credit card since they don't care about letting people actually contact them for issues. My personal favorite is the #9 Combo meal with a large fry and a large Coke. I work weekends nearby and usually twice a month (at least) I stop here and order dinner, at the drive up window. They NEVER disappoint me, the burger is always HOT (not warm), so are the fries. No matter how busy they are the staff is friendly and the food is served quickly. read more

I take my family to this Dairy Queen a couple of times a month as we are typically big fans. But the last 3-4 times we've been there, we've left feeling short-changed. Tonight, for example, three of us ordered Blizzards with a variety of bites added. It was expensive, costing more than $17 for three small Blizzards. We were happy to pay because we love the products. As we dug into our desserts, they all seemed packed full of the extra bites we paid for. But as we got through the top 1/4 layer, we realized the rest of the cup was just ice cream. There was no sign of the bites we paid for. It was as if they simply filled a cup with soft serve and topped it with pieces of Oreo cookies and cookie dough bites. We didn't even finish our desserts...what a waste of money and time. I'm rating this Dairy Queen Grill & Chill a 4 stars for the customer service that was received on the day I went in. Although, if there were half stars, I'd down rate to 3.5 due to an interaction witnessed behind the scenes. I had two other people in my party there were three different orders on one bill. Two ice creams (with different hard topping) and one mini blizzard. While we had a little trouble using the mobile app coupon for the blizzard, the cashier who helped us, took her time to figure out why it wasn't working on first swipe. Once we got everything paid for, my party got their cones while I waited for my blizzard. The down rate comes next. The cashier that patiently helped us, was trying to rally her employees to better serve the line. She must have been the person in charge for the night or a manager because she kept telling the workers where to be and how to be, in order to expedite everything quicker and while customers were waiting for their orders. This is not a bad thing - she was reminding the co workers how to manage their time in the back while multiple orders were being placed (no need to have 2 people hang out at the drive up window where 2 -3 people are needed to make ice cream and meals). My gripe is that she could have done this a little softer, where customers would not hear it. There wasn't a lot of people in the lobby at that point, but it got a tiny bit loud because one of the workers wasn't paying much attention. Again, not her fault completely, as she did make the attempt to remain calm. I think the lack of customers made things echo. The redemption was when my blizzard came out and she did the upside down trick. I learned that you can hold the cup upside down with the mix in it, for so long before it comes spilling out. She did it a couple times and we joked about it. Really worth standing there because it turned out to be quite the fun trick, and learning something new about the dessert is always good. We paid it forward by giving a couple kids some coupons we knew we wouldn't use and they were over the moon that a random stranger would do such a thing... they ended up using a couple while we sat there with our ice creams. read more

First off I'm old school so I love DQ. Took my grandson for dinner. He ordered a kids meal (grilled cheese) nothing about his sandwich was grilled. Maybe warmed a bit. Him being neurodivergent could not eat it. The fries were warm ( it was dinner time) not fresh cooked. Fries that had sat under a warming bulb. He also got a under the rainbow shake which looked nothing like the picture. An additional $4.98 I think. He said it tasted "icky " and it did. Very artificial so when the manager walked by we told her about the shake and she said well sorry honey that's the way they taste there's nothing I can do about it. I said really? This location is the closest thing that's not a gas station to my office. I checked the online menu to make sure they have some form of a salad and head to pick something up between meetings. Crispy Chicken BLT salad and back to work I go. Everyone was polite and it wasn't extremely slow. But then I get to work and open my salad. I'm not sure what the B in BLT stands for but I thought it was bacon. I also assumed my entree salad would have more than 1 chicken strip on it. While everything tasted fine, I'm more than disappointed that it appears I got a side salad with 1 chicken strip slapped on it and not the salad I ordered and paid for. Everyone who got blizzards got a melty mess. The "fudge" core is a spoonful of fudge and the entire top was melted. We came here a few weeks ago and were served by a young man who had just started working here. I remember him being very pleasant, attentive and coming out to the dining room to check up on our experience. The food was as expected "Dairy Queen Delicious ". Anyway, we returned and saw the same young man again, probably one of the most kind, respectful and pleasant young men I've seen lately. He remembered us and again gave exceptionally great service! HORRIBLE SERVICE! Manager had a Nasty Attitude. Food was wrong and nasty... Here's the set up. We placed a large order for a family of 7, we were asked to pull forward and wait for our food. (As expected) a few minutes later another vehicle with 2 people in it parked next to us and waited on their food as well.. An employee brought the food out and gave us half our order and gave the other half to the vehicle next to us. One of the people in that vehicle began endulging in the fries then Realized the order was not theirs and told the DQ employee. With in atleast 20 seconds of them walking back into the resturant, they brought our food back out.(obviously didn't remake the order) We left got home and almost all the fries were gone. The burgers were very dry and absolutly disgusting. The pretzels were ice cold and so was the queso dip, the dip was actually in clumps. None of the sauces we asked for with the chicken was right. Completely opposite of what we asked for. An absolute waste of 50 bucks. And as for the shitty "manager" no undershirt half buttoned and half tucked in, looked and acted very unprofessional... Went through their drive through about 5 minutes ago for some food and blizzards. Got our stuff, no cars behind us, decided to hand out food and napkins. About 10 seconds into distributing the food, a girl opens up the drive thru window and YELLS at us! She stated we were running up her drive thru time and that we need to pull up. Mind you, zero cars behind us! This girl could have asked in a polite manner to pull our vehicle forward, but decided to scream, act in a confrontational and aggressive manner, and demand we pull up! I don't know why there are so many 1 star reviews... this is my go to location for Dairy Queen food and blizzards. Their drive through is surprisingly fast and the food is always hot or at least very warm. Never had an issue with them. They may have some younger employees working there but none caused any disturbances even when eating inside. They seem to do their job very well. Honestly this is a great location to go to. Very clean and new looking. I have been to many DQs around Bradenton/Sarasota and this is the newest and nicest I've found. The one on 70 is decent as well. read more
