Hello! Last summer I would come to your place EVERY DAY! Sounds crazy right? But your food is always amazing and I always get the classic vanilla cone, but one day I went there with my grandma as usual and I got the same thing I always did, but the workers were rude and fed up, we noticed that they were messing around so that meant that there was no people there. So here is the part that got my grandma mad, when we got our cones we left and drove off to go home, while we were driving home I was eating my cone until I realized that it was literally just cream or something it wasn't ice cream didn't taste like it. It tasted Like whipped cream. And I'm not saying it was their fault or anything but they were very rude and disrespectful and I hop their machine was just broken or on the fritz. I was never able to come again to that place cause my grandma was that mad. I hope it was just a mistake but the workers were really rude and didn't want us here overall. The last thing I would like to add is that the surroundings at the Dairy Queen should be fixed a little, at the drive through when you go to the window to get your food the place is a little overgrown and during winter it was really easy for people to slip and almost have there car in the overgrown place. Second verse, same as the first. I visited this location after visiting another disappointing DQ recently. My order this time? A medium butterfinger blizzard with extra butterfinger (previously I ordered a large at a different location). So, my medium butterfinger blizzard with extra butterfinger, was again sparse with the butterfinger, though this time I took a picture. A butterfinger blizzard should have a slightly orange appearance (butterfinger) with some dark chunks in it (chocolate). Girl was very rude at the drive up & they don't except the DQ App that I wanted to use for a small Blizzard for 85cents & she very rudely said their system doesn't except it! Seriously?? A small Blizzard cost me almost $6.00 and could not even get points as well, why do I have the DQ app? Will not be going back, I will drive out to Parlor City on 42nd! This is one of the Dairy Queens in Cedar Rapids that skimps on the size of their servings if you buy a cone. They have a younger crew, which is not necessarily the cause of the serving size. But maybe they are afraid that they can't get the ice cream in the cone to not tip over, so they give you less bang for your buck. You may get a medium sized cone, but it is filled with a small size serving of ice cream. It has happened to me at this location on more than one occasion. I'm not a big fan of uncertainty, I'll skip this DQ unless I really have an urge. read more

I ordered 2 six piece chicken strip baskets, ended up getting 2 four pieces, both with very little amounts of French fries, as well as 1 piece of bread along with both baskets. No butter on either pieces, also not toasted at all. Never will be going back to this location. read more

Stopped at this Dairy Queen after seeing an ad for a $2.99 Peanut Buster Parfait sale. They had a sign on their drive up menu that stated "on sale now, 2.99" that matched the ad. At the drive thru window I was charged 4.60. When I mentioned the sale I was told they weren't participating. I mentioned their own sign that said they were and the person said that she was the manager and would know if they were. I paid my 4.60 and drove back through the drive thru to check the sign. The manager came out of the building as I was about to take a picture of it to show them and again denied they were participating while looking at the sign saying they were. I asked for a refund of what I over paid and got a snotty reply that she would do it this once but not in the future. What? Your going to post a sign saying the item is 2.99 and get rude with people when they want that price. Go to Wilson Dairy Queen, it is only a mile away. read more

We eat here on a regular basis. The staff is very friendly and the food is great. Their $5 lunch is a very good deal. They also have daily specials. And to top it off, you can't beat a DQ sundae for your dessert! read more

my experience was awful here. the food was okay but the service was terrible. half the menu items they have they can't make due to broken appliances if you're in the neighborhood you'd have better luck driving a little father to the wilson dairy queen read more
