They've renovated this place since the last time I visited (almost 6 years ago). It feels modern and very very clean. The food is that of all Dairy Queen's. Very underrated but not incredible. Ok so in my other review of a DQ it was getting good attention so I'll say the same thing here. I grew up in California so I never had the chance to go to. DQ. I just moved to a part of Virginia where there are many DQ's and I'm getting the chance to enjoy many of them - clearly by all of my reviews. The food is just food. One burger joint to another. The fries are better than Burger King but not better than McDonald's. But they have added this Alaskan Salmon Sandwich to their menu which is amazing. It can be dry so ask for extra tarter when ordering! Now the DQ part of it. Who would ever want a milkshake again after having one of their DQ frozen things. So thick and you can add the yummy treats. Come on! So yes I recommend. Well unless you're watching ur weight. read more

I typically love DQ - especially their blizzards! We made a special trip out to enjoy their national free cone day only to have this location say that "due to a technical malfunction they weren't able to participate in free cone day." However, they COULD still make cones and blizzards - we just had to pay for them. ?! I'd already promised my kids their ice cream treat so we weren't about to leave empty-handed, but it definitely left a bad taste in my mouth that this location so obviously cared more about making a profit than participating in a community event! read more

Come on DQ. You're better than this. Ordered a blizzard to try out and was handed a melting blizzard. By the time I got I home it was melted all over the car. I live less than 5 min away. I understand it's getting warm and you're getting more customers but there is no reason to be serving melted ice cream. read more

I know every place can have a bad day. This was so frustrating. I had first asked for extra Mayo on a burger. That came with so much Mayo that I couldn't even eat it. All over the entire outside of the burger. We went back though line ( lobby closed) the line was long and slow... not on them it was 1 pm. They happily exchange the burger. ( starving at this point btw) checked for the excessive Mayo. We were all good. Tell I took a bite!!! They put raw bacon on my food!!!!! Who does that? Obviously being nice and polite isn't enough! The entire menu was taped up with silver duct tape and there was trash all over around the dumpster that has flown out and gotten everywhere. I couldn't get through my order without being interrupted several times. I was handed my food which was correct and fresh but wasn't spoken to at all. Two visits in a row this DQ screwed up my order. First time should've been too easy. I ordered a Blizzard and that's it. Got home and it wasn't the right one. Today I order for my family and get home to find no sauce for my daughters tenders. This one star is not for the crew; it's for the management. They had one kid bouncing back and forth from front register to drive thru. The kid was hustling. Five stars to him. He'll probably own the joint some day. Hopefully he hires better management. Good job to the one cook back there holding it all down too. Unfortunately, DQ must be experiencing financial issues or something since they can't afford to put enough people on the job during the dinner rush. Worst DQ I've been to. That includes the overseas DQs I've visited. To the management, aside from retraining on scheduling and learning how to predict rushes, please clear those trees on the south side and open an alternate exit. And to corporate DQ. My daughter can't have dairy. Please explain why I can upgrade a 5 buck lunch to a Blizzard for a dollar, but not the Star Bar which is the only thing sweet my daughter can have at your store. I was allowed to do that at other DQs, but not this one. Is it because Star Bars have heroin in them or something? How can a Star Bar be worth more than a Blizzard? If it is, find a new vendor because you're refusing to let me upgrade from a Sundae to frozen Kool Aid. No way frozen Kool Aid is worth more than a Sundae much less a Blizzard. read more

Dairy Queen advertises that you will get a free blizzard if they don't hand you your blizzard upside down. Well we just went and the lady handed us our blizzard upside right, and when we mentioned about her not handing it upside down she said she double cupped it so she couldn't hand it upside down.. There was no need for it to be double cupped to begin with, I think they just do that so that they don't have to stick to what they advertise. Bad business if you ask me. read more

I ordered Royal Ultimate Chocolate Blizzard and was directed to pull up to the window. I sat there for a couple minutes without seeing anyone walk past the window. I assumed they were busy, so I didn't think much of it. Finally an I pay and I see them bring out a small (I ordered a Medium) blizzard. The employee sends it back and I continue to wait for my blizzard. Again, I don't mind waiting, sometimes things get busy, but when I finally got my blizzard the hot fudge was in one glob at the top and and the bottom half was just vanilla. Pretty disappointed in the final product and in waiting over 5 minutes while cars backed up behind me. But I still ate it because I love ice cream. read more

Spent $26 in here that I'll never get back! Please take your money elsewhere. The owners of this Dairy Queen know NOTHING about good customer service! I was so humiliated after dining there. First, I changed my mind about part of my order BEFORE he ran my card. It happens! The male owner seemed to be bothered by this. Then I asked for honey glazed chicken strips and I clearly said, "just like my daughters" as she had ordered them tossed in the sauce. He brought them out dry with the sauce on the side. I sent them back and he was clearly bothered, again. The the final straw was when he had the opportunity to really be a good owner, I ordered a banana split but forgot it came with pineapples, which I can't eat. When I mentioned that I there was a problem he said " What do you want changed NOW, ma'am?" And goes on to say "you're going to have to eat it. Its your mistake and I'm not taking a loss." I said "its just peanut butter" (which is what I wanted instead). He says, "We'll you're going to have to pay for it. You changed your mind three times, I'm not making a new one!" I said "can I speak to the manager and we we won't be back." He hollers "I am the owner!" Attitude and service was stinking to high heaven at this point!! When I got ready to leave I pulled him to the side to say his service was lacking and he again brought up that I "changed the order three times" (which wasn't completely true, one time he actually got my order wrong!). I said, I'm trying to do you a favor and just telling you the way you treated me here wasn't nice and was uncalled for. He say's "whatever, don't come back!" However today when I went, the cashier at the drive-through window was talking on her phone and then after I was there for a few seconds said hold on I have to take care of a customer.
