If I could give no stars, I would . Second time I have been here and they're not open on their posted hours not only on the website but on their door, you can't get serviced through the drive-through or in the lobby because the doors are locked again I say the second time that this has happened. There are cars in the parking lot, so there are employees there. I guess they're just employees there for a paycheck rather than to do their job. If it is a matter of being shortstaffed, then there should be a sign outside, saying that you are opening later and a sign on the drive-through indicating the same thing but there's not so I can only assume it's people who don't want to do their job. read more

Time for a delicious blizzard!! Zoomed through the drive-thru in record time! There were a bunch of cars behind us though. The cashier was polite and efficient. We had a Kids Coupon so buy one get one for 99 cents. Boom. Chocolate Brownie Explosion.... chocolatey goodness with chunks of brownie. Really hit the spot. I ordered a large Strawberry Banana smoothie. Even though the atmosphere seemed cleaned, I was disappointed that the same person that have been handling cash & what not was the same person handling my smoothie & the inside cup cover was touched. It's a bit difficult to give a place like Dairy Queen a full five stars, but this location truly is top-notch... I have never seen a DQ that is so clean or modern. The area of town was also great. The downfall? The employees are teenagers, which means the work ethic is somewhat lacking. After ordering, no one told us our food was up or that it was ready, and when we inquired, we were ignored. The employee at the drive-thru window offered to add my message to one of their in-stock cakes. The cake is very generic (green frosting piped around edge of otherwise white cake). Dairy Queen is always the best place to stop on s hot day. This dairy Queen on gunbarrel in Chattanooga was clean...and how do you mess up a blizzard?! The toilet in the women's restroom was not working properly. I had to take the lid off to manually pull the chain to get it to flush. The employees acted like they were chained to their stations, no one was talking...which I guess is good for efficiency but makes for crabby employees. Been visiting this place about half dozen times for the past week. Each visit came with a very friendly staff. Training needs improvement. I never count off for training as long as it does not repeat each time. So, workers need to know the menu. Before being at the register. Tried to order 6$ menu 11-4. I've only ever been through the drive-through, so I'm not sure what the interior is like, but from a drive-through perspective...they are the slowest "fast food" place I have ever been to. They are slow to ask you for your order (makes you wonder if the drive-through is even open), and they are slow to get your order out to you, slow to give your change to you...and on top of it all, their food really tastes old/stale. Drive thru had 6 cars. 5 people in kitchen and only one making shakes and cones under manager scrutiny. One was at the counter and took our order. Slow production of 1 blizzard, them a 15 minute wait for a medium dipped cone. No apology, no sorry, no excuse. Just a really bad time that reinforced why it's been a few years since I had my last bad service here. Now I am gone for good. Will not be returning here. I go out of my way to visit this DQ. It's the nicest one I've ever seen. The people who work here are always friendly, the restaurant looks brand new and their outside seating is clean, attractive and its elevation gives it a nice view. This location also has Orange Julius items, too. read more

I generally love DQ, but last night was ridiculous. All we wanted was a chocolate dipped cone and malted milkshake. Pretty standard. Something was wrong and they had to pour chocolate over the cone. Made it very thick on the top. Not too bad, but 20 minutes into the wait, they said they were out of malt. Too tired of waiting to get anything else. Love Blizzards, but this location is hit or miss. On the weekends a Chocolate Extreme blizzard is the best, BUT every time during the weekday it sucks - same product might as well be a Frosty from Wendy's. I've told the kids working there and they throw on some brownies on top of the Blizzard and give it back to me. Not what I expect after spending $5 bucks for an ice cream. Okay first off, WHO RUNS OUT OF ICE CREAM! You are an ice cream place. Absolutely ridiculous. Second, The gravy didn't come out with my basket so I had to wait for it to be ready so my food got cold. Absolutely horrible service there. You would think that they would be a better quality place with how clean and nice it is. But no people were rude about everything. The soda machine didn't have any options because they were all out. They should've replaced the sodas as soon as they went out. Pros: The service is pretty good, the staff is mostly friendly and they bring the food to your table. Cons: Like ike another reviewer said this place is very hit or miss on the Blizzards. My wife usually gets a brownie Blizzard and it's either 5 brownie pieces or 500. There is no middle ground. Also, they refuse to carry chocolate soft serve and claim their machine is broken. Their machine has been "broken" for months. This place used to be really good a few years ago but has really gone downhill. With 10+ places to get ice cream within a few miles, I'd suggest going somewhere else. read more

I wish I could give this store less than one star. My family and I stopped in and were informed they were out of Blizzards. Ok what??? How??? Then a month later I ordered a birthday cake from them using their online service. I went to pick up the cake and several things were not right about the cake. One there were balloons that were supposed to be in Gel and they were not they were in flat ugly icing. Then the writing was to be in green it was in red. Not a huge thing except green is my sons favorite color and it was his birthday cake. So I tell the lady that is waiting on me that there are things incorrect. She shrugged and said well there is nothing we can do about it now. After running my credit card of course. So I leave. But after getting home I think well maybe a manager could help so I call the store. I get put on speaker phone. I now have three people arguing with me that I am wrong that they gave me what I ordered. The managers attitude was very defensive and rude. There could not have been a bigger sense of I don't care from her or her staff. All this on top of the fact I was charged more in store than I was told online. When I asked why there was a difference in price the manager said there just is I don't know why, deal with it. So good luck if you decide to go there. first the line was out into the road, usually i don't have a problem with waiting when i really want some good food. usually dairy queen isn't a problem and i always get the good food. but yesterday the service was awful. the girl at the window was rude and just wanted to get me out of line. i asked for ketchup, and every time i said "ketchup" she said "buffalo?" this happened three times. then when i got to the window i didn't get ketchup or napkins. so i asked for the ketchup and got two packets for a 4 finger basket. i wasn't going to complain because i was already over it. so i went on and then when i opened my box i found this toast. now i use to work at a fast food chain. i know what you do with the toast. you butter it and then throw it on a flat top grill to toast it. this obviously was not done. the just slapped some butter on there and threw it in. then i got my blizzard. i LOVE these blizzards, but mine was so melted i literally drank it. i was only in line for 3 minutes after i ordered my food so there's no way it could have been that melted after three minutes. to say i'm disappointed would be an understatement. i love my dairy queen but the service from the staff i got this day and then the presentation of everything was just crossing my line. maybe reconsider some of your crew members and hire some people that care about your restaurant's reputation and the customers you bring in. read more

I had the worst experience. First let me point out that I understand mistakes happen and I'm very patient with food service. With that being said, we normally go to the Hixson location and never had an issue. We order two blizzards and one in a waffle cone...he rings up an extra one and charged our card. I asked him why was it so expensive and he said he rang three. I told him we only needed two. He assured us the charge didn't go through. He rang the right order this time and didn't give a us a receipt. It took awhile for them to be made and wen I got mine it didn't have any pie pieces (I got the pumpkin pie blizzard). What pissed me off was that I look at my bank account and it charged us for those extra three blizzards. I brought this to the kids attention and he never apologized or anything. He got the manager to give us our money back and she was giving a whole lot of attitude. She even spoke bad about me to the kid over the ice cream area about getting me some pie pieces. I would highly advise driving the extra 10 miles to Hixson. Very poor customer service. I advise to avoid at all cost. Oh and the blizzard wasn't impressive. read more

I am not impressed with the customer service at all. I'm usually not one to complain about things like that but every time I go there, I have to repeat my order 3 or 4 times before they get it. They don't seem to listen to what you are saying because they have given me the wrong order several times, even after I have repeated to them exactly what I want.
