Vanilla dipped in chocolate ('cause the chocolate machine was broken.!)

Pretty standard DQ. And...for our tastes, this one has a chococlate DQ machine that works! Lots of cold treats to tickle your fancy (and tummy). Hot eats to warm you on a chilly day. (My go-to-fave is the chili dog with just a sprinkle of cheese shreds. (I miss the old squeeze-cheese sauce.) Throw in come cheese curds or fries...yum! Make it a combo. With the pretty darn quick service you'll be chowing down or on your way (drive-thru) in a jiffy.

Kids Meal: Chicken Tenders and banana. Fries were with my hamburger combo and were delicious!

First visit to any Dairy Queen! I will say the staff is awesome at this place and they get 5 STARS! The food itself gets a 3. Fries were great and crispy and the little liked the tenders. The burger was okay. Lettuce was a bit soggy in the burger and wasn't a fan of the pickles they use (and I love good pickles in my burger). However the burger patty was good. Fudge sundae was good!

Visited early evening on a Sunday and the drive-thru line was crazy! Went in and hardly waited before ordering, and there was also ample seating available. Our items came out fairly quickly, but it did seem like the ice cream wasn't quite cold enough because it was already starting to melt upon receiving our order.

The drive thru is dumb. They have someone take your order before you get to the menu display, and that person doesn't even know the menu.

We went on a Sunday evening. The drive thru line was long but it moved quickly. Service was excellent and ice cream tasted delicious!

The…read moreparking lot was absolutely packed and the outdoor seating looked like a tailgate party for people obsessed with chicken fingers. As I stood there studying the menu, I realized they really only serve about five things: chicken fingers, fries, Texas toast, coleslaw, and dipping sauce. That's it. No 14-page Cheesecake Factory novel to sort through. No stress. No panic. No "what are you getting?" discussions. I thought about my order for exactly 6.4 seconds and went with the 3 Finger Combo, which included four of the five menu items. Honestly, this place is perfect for kids, exhausted parents, and anyone who gets anxiety trying to order at restaurants with more than six options. After ordering, we grabbed our iced tea and headed for the condiment station, where I discovered the true MVP of the experience... ketchup ON TAP. I don't know why this impressed me so much, but it did. It felt oddly luxurious. Like a soda fountain, but for fries. The food took a few minutes, but when it arrived, it was straight-out-of-the-fryer hot. I have to admit the chicken was really good. Crispy, juicy, and worth the hype. The fries were average, the one-and-only chicken sauce was decent, and the Texas toast was surprisingly solid. Overall, I'm glad we tried it. If you have kids, love simplicity, or just want a restaurant where making a decision doesn't require a committee meeting, this place is definitely for you.

The orders were mismatched so we had to hand bags, fries, onion rings, and condiments around. McDonalds and Five Guys can get it right, so I suspect it has something to do with Whataburger's order management software. If they are cooking the food fresh, the 10-12 minute wait was certainly worth it. The patty melt and onion rings were really good. The kids enjoyed their food as well. The soda fountain mix tasted a little off compared to other big box burger joints. It may have just been this location. Additionally, they didn't mark the diet drink so we had to have one of the kids check and then swap drinks around.

You can order at a kiosk, or you can order at the counter. I think I chose the wrong option (ordering at the counter), because the person behind the counter acted like I invaded his personal space and was asking his mother to make me food from her own kitchen. He was wiping down trays when I walked up to order, and he did not stop wiping those dang trays the entire time he reluctantly punched in my order. Do I offend? (No Duckie from Pretty in Pink.) And guess what: Homie didn't get my order correct! I guess I should have ordered from the kiosk. If you visit this Whataburger, you should order from the kiosk. The food itself is fine. Cheeseburgers come with everything on them, unless you specifically order differently. Everything includes yellow mustard and pickles. The hamburger buns were a little less than fresh. The fries tasted like they had been under a warming lamp for a little while. For real, though: This Whataburger location needs to get it together, because it's located next to an In-N-Out. You're competing against the best of the best, Whataburger.
