The service was good.. the blizzards are good.. but don't order banana splits here, I think management or management corporate can post or train their employees on what's the difference between a good banana and a spoiled banana. if I could leave no stars, I would. This is literally THE WORST Dairy Queen I have ever been to. I have tried time and time again to give them another chance and they disappoint every.single.time. EVERYTIME we order something is incorrect. Tonight I ordered a small Royal Cheesecake Blizzard. What I received had chocolate, no cheesecake, no strawberry and was melted so much that the drive thru clerk did not even turn it upside down. Previously, I have ordered dipped cones, and the product that I received was sad and melting and almost comical. You would think that ordering a signature blizzard, you could count on some semblance of recognizable product, but, it is not possible. We ordered online and they claimed the charge never came through and then we waited for over 30 minutes and they never made our order and refused to make our online order even though we had already been charged so we had to order a second time and pay double and wait 45 minutes for an ice cream cone. the service was terrible. read more

Avoid this Dairy Queen at all costs! We ordered from there last night. The two flamethrower burgers had no bacon and it's suppose to. A side salad was ordered and we didn't get it, so we went back to get it and all they gave us was not fresh lettuce in a plastic container. It had none of the other ingredients on it that it was suppose to have. So we kept it in our fridge to take back today and talk to a manager. No manager was on duty, a shift lead was. So gave the lettuce to him. He called someone, not sure if it was the owner or not. He was told they could put the rest of the ingredients on the lettuce that we got last night. There were brown pieces in that lettuce. Not get a whole new side salad nor a refund. It's not the shift leads fault, it's this Dairy Queens policy. read more

Whaaaaaat? I can hear it now "you gave this crap hole a 4?" The only reason this CLASSIC/RETRO store gets a 4 is - regardless that it's been there since 1952 - a few things I saw could have been easily taken care of. More on that later, because I want to talk about the awesome manager, Danielle, and her cute, smiling and fine staff...eventually! I stopped at this DQ because "Ira" (aka Siri) said it was closest to me. "He" (my version of Siri) informed me of the location, hours and that it had a 1.5 Star review. YIKES! All I needed was an ice cream cake for my daughter's 21st Birthday - yeah, she's had one every year since she was 7 - cuz she hates cake...she even had CHEESEcakes at her wedding! So...ice cream cake it is! Her husband (infant sweethearts and married after high school with a few stories featuring love-at-first sight, a first date and a break up in between - (see my blog) and I toodled in over - oh, did I mention I drove 750 miles from Wyoming to celebrate her 21st BIRTHDAY in Kansas?! Ahhhh - but I digress! Annnnnnywaaaaay... I totally (yes, I'm a child of the 80s) read the reviews and saw all of the mayhem FROM LAST YEAR AND LONGER "AGO!" When Ira announced my impending doom, I decided then and there that I would give the store (in my head, I heard 'peace') a chance - so I decided to form MY OWN opinion. And here it is... My son-in-law and I pulled into the beautifully new black-topped parking lot and my SNIL - made a comment about the drive-thru finally being open again (no - I know not, that story. Remember, I'm from out of town)! We walked into DQ looking for a cake to go. After all, DQ ice cream cake is my daughter's FAVORITE! Between her husband and I - we tried to remember if she had a DQ cake fave - going back and forth, we pulled out, read and attempted to decipher which cake had which flavor and then go from there. "Hold this one, let me check the one in the back," i told my SNIL, as we checked cake flavors. At that point, the manager, Danielle, dived in to help us with suggestions, clarifications, etc. Now, you may be thinking choosing a cake would not take much...well, thinking. But we wanted it to be just right! After much deliberation, we went with the Peanut Butter Cup Blizzard Cake. (And I might mention, only because my daughter had this one several years ago, and I'm HOPING BEYOND HOPE it was one of her favorites - heaven forbid we settle with Cookie Dough - yes, all of my girls love cookie dough, and although I know it's about HER, I really hate cookie dough anything!) there you have it. Danielle proceeded to ask if we wanted writing on the cake, and after much deliberation over what would fit in the small space, we went with, "Ken's 21st!" There you have it. Cake chosen, check out ensuing and conversation about this stores HORRIBLE reviews being brought to the surface. Yep. I'm that customer. Ok. Gotta end this. Danielle was great and helpful, and exhibited great pride in "her" store and "her" crew! She was bubbly and helpful. The crew, Sunday, May 27, 2017 @ 4 p.m. was efficient and kind. I'd go there again, provided they all read this review, live up to my high expectations and continue to provide excellent and helpful customer service. And, oh, the reason for 4 stars? Yep. Older building, a few scuff marks that could probably have been scrubbed to a shine and a dead beetle in the bathroom. Oh, well. The staff that I got to talk to for a minute were both nice, and quick with the stuff that I ordered. This is more along the lines of the manager on duty. The tall guy was very rude to his staff, and the person that was helping me out even told me that they don't acknowledge their name or pronouns they go by. This place is filthy. The lady taking my order was extremely rude. Looks like the ceiling is falling down. Freezer in dining are is making terrible noises and needs serviced and cleaned. There should be parking blocks/stops in the parking lot to keep people from running into the building. It's a very crazy set up. Won't ever be returning to this place. It's just too nasty. read more

I went there just earlier to use a gift card i had gotten. They kept telling me there was no balance on it but when I called it told me there was money on it. They then had me leave the drive thru and wpuldnt even call to see if the card had money. Their attitude towards me was very rude and the manager rolled her eyes at me amd said sure when I told her there was money on it. Ordered a birthday cake for my 9 year old grandson. I live 3 hours away so was picking it up on my way to his house. Got there and no cake. One of the kids working there said he had seen it a couple evenings before, but couldn't find it now. The lady said it was because the cake lady wasn't there yet and asked if I could wait an hour. She said the lady who took the order hadn't put a Pick up time. When I called to order the cake I was asked what time I would pick it up and I said after ten. She said they opened at eleven so she would put eleven as the pick up time. I was there around 12:00. They offered nothing to substitute and the only other cake they had was "Congratulations Class of 2017". I went ahead and bought one of the pie things because I didn't want to show up with nothing for my grandson's party. No discount nothing. Won't be returning to this Dairy Queen and I LOVE Dairy Queen. read more
