This place was absolutely terrible. The lady who took our order completely ignored me. She didn't even bother to say, "Just a moment, I'll be with you." I also saw her wiping her nose with her hand, not even washing it, because they don't use gloves. It was disgusting! Thankfully, another woman took our order and made it. Honestly, after seeing that girl in her teens do that with her hand, I wanted to vomit. I didn't even bother to eat my ice cream; I wish I had asked for a refund. When she took another customer's order, she didn't even bother to ask what they wanted. She just looked at them with such a face. I would give this place a 0 out of 10. Dairy queen was a favorite of mine up until recently. The drive thru was extremely packed and I did not want to wait in it so I parked to go inside. I went in and ordered my food and it took an extremely long time to get it even though it was only a cheeseburger and some fries. The store was extremely dirty and disgusting from top to bottom. Can't they send someone out to clean from time to time?! When I got my ice cream it tasted like iced milk instead of ice cream. Very crunchy. It was not good at all especially for the price. While I was there I was curious to see other reviews and I see one about keeping rats near food they serve! How disgusting. Every time me or my wife go to this location they take 10 to 30 min to take the order and provide items via drive through. I went to get my wife a shake and waited 15 min to place order I know I could have left but figured with only two cars in-front of me should be quick. Once placing the order for 1 med shake I went up up to the window waiting another 15 min after paying. To then be asked did I pay? Then I got a led blizzard and not shake. Could not make a correction and had to leave. I hope this location or employees is corrected where going to get some ice cream via drive through should take 5 min maybe 10 but that is to place the order, pay it and leave. read more

We had a great experience at this DQ! The wait was as not too long and the place looked very clean! We ordered 2 hot fudge Sundays and they looked and tasted delicious! I am so ashamed and extremely disappointed. Dairy Queen was my childhood and I wanted to make it the same way for my children but the amount of disrespect I endured during my visit is absolutely ridiculous. First of all I had wanted to go through the drive through but the line was absolutely long and I was not okay with waiting that long. I go inside and things are an absolute mess. Finally I get to take my order and I was talking to one of the employees how this place needs a turn around and he told me absolutely disgusting things about this place. They have a rat problem which is very common but he said they hide them in the freezer next to the burgers and fries... ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING, he also said even if the stuff is expired or ready to throw they "make exceptions" and still use it and none of them follow protocol with washing there hands frequently. I would have given no stars... My family and I visit PV about twice a year to be with extended family. The last time we visited we had a very bad experience. Drive thru took more than 20mins with one car in front of us. Food was cold, order was inconsistent and the girl was rude. Fast forward to tonight.... Nieces went for a late night sweet treat before heading back home. They got to DQ at exactly 8:51pm. Paige was the person at the counter and she immediately stated to the girls, "ugh you come in 9 mins before we close and you can't order any blizzards, burgers ... don't ask for because I'm not making it. You have to order something simple ." All with an attitude as if she didn't want to be bothered. Girls order shakes because that's the easiest. Well like I said before, there aren't really any ice cream shops here....we have smoothie, coffee shops. So as far a Diary Queen goes, the ice cream is good for being Diary Queen. But what is the excuse for the store? It was SURFACE clean, but at closer look, you can really see the built up grease and dirt on the floors and window sills. I have become addicted to the Blizzards. Probably have 3-5 a week. There is a problem however. Not the ice cream but the lobby area. It's not very well maintained. Usually very messy. There is also a fly problem. There is a fly trap machine but it's not doing a good job. I know the drive up window is almost always open and that's the reason most likely. There needs to be traps placed nearby to help reduce this problem. read more

One star because there is no less than one star rating. A horrible experience that started with slow service, the employees chatter with each other was far more important than filling orders. While waiting for the employees I noticed that the seating area was dirty and uninviting, making the decision to retreat to our car easy. It took all 3 employees to make a Mr. Misty that was inedible and upon returning the entire drink minus two sips, I was rudely informed that it wasn't there fault and they were not about to give me a refund, remake the drink or anything else. My food is generally ok. I only get the chicken strips and fries they are usually fresh and hot. The gravy is hit or miss I always have to check it to make sure it's not cold or spungy because it was overcooked. The service always seems indifferent but not necessarily bad it's just obvious no one cares about the place or the customers. Today they got my total wrong and tried to overcharge me when I tried to point out the error...it was even on my receipt.... the employee sent over a manager to give me back .14¢.... I was overcharged .65¢ .... I just took the .14¢ and left.... I may not go back as they obviously just don't care..... also never ever does tax make a $5 meal $6.11... And trying to convince me that it does insults my intelligence. read more

Inside is super dirty, gnats fly around inside, and it looks like the floor hadn't been mopped in months, and their food is wet as if they had just put it in a bucket of water. OUTRAGED AND DISGUSTED! We went through your drive through at the Prescott Valley Rt 69 location sometime last week and they didn't give us our 2 drinks or our hot fudge sundae. We needed to get home and so we didn't turn around but I called right when we got home and spoke to the Supervisor Louise and he was very nice and apologized and said that next time we came by to just tell them that Louis said that they owed us 2 drinks and he said a hot fudge sundae of any size. I asked what the managers name was just to have another name and he said Jennifer. I told him that we wouldn't be by the next day but sometime soon and he said that was no problem. So tonight on Dec 5th at 6:45pm after driving from Phoenix back up home to Prescott Valley we stop at the same DQ and at the order screen I explain to them guybober the intercom about the drinks and hot fudge sundae and I tell him that Louis his supervisor told us to come by whenever and just give his name. I also told him that the managers name was Jennifer so then we order food. We pull up to the window and the young guy working wearing a beanie with a beard I'm his 20's probably right away is rude and asks if we have the receipt for the old order where we didn't get all of our food items and I told him no and that when I spoke to Louise he didn't say that I needed it. He said to just give his name and say that they owed us the stuff and he said we could have a fudge Sundae of any size ( we had ordered a small and intold him that on the phone but he was being nice and making up for thentrouble). They guy at the window said that he would not give us drinks and sundae owed to us. I said "your supervisor Louis said to just give his name and he said nothing about a receipt." I said do you have a supervisor named Louis? He said yes. I said, " do you have a manager named Jennifer?" He said yes. I said so how would I know all of this and why would I make it up? Then this horrible employee that doesn't know anything about customer service said that under some law he could refuse service to us and that he was doing that and then he said wez5 needed to get off of the property or he was calling the police! I couldn't and still can't believe it! He said because of my attitude? I had no attitude? I was just telling him that his supervisor said to just tell them Louis said that we were owed that stuff and that he didn't say we needed a receipt. And because I asked him if I had his supervisor and managers names and how would I know this and why would I make it up, after he tells us he won't do what his supervisor said without a receipt then we are refused service in the drivethrough and told he would call the police on us?!?! I am a lady and I was not belligerent or anything with this young man. I have never experienced such horrible customer service in my entire life. I have never been refused service ever. I cannot even believe he threatened to call the police on us. It was not deserved. You guys owe u stuff we paid for and then this rude, horrible man on some power trip literally treats me like I'm a criminal and wont honor his supervisors promise. Then offends me by refusing service and threatening to call the cops on us like I'm some criminal! He needs to be fired and taught customer service. Ok...this DQ has improved a bunch. Regular staff of the cutest little ladies who actually care, say hi, greet you at the drive up speaker, are smiling at the window and counter. Also...they care about what your cone, what your blizzard, and what you shake looks like. In season there will be an expected wait both inside and on car line. If someone in front of you in the drive thru has a grill order, expect a longer wait. There does not appear to be a policy of pull over and they'll bring it out. But those smiling ladies are sweet, very good at what they do, and seem to care. Hey Mr. DQ owner...keep this crew happy would ya please! read more

Then they have a "new" crispy chicken salad that can't even sale you cause the register does not have it available yet. I ordered 3 large Blizzards. I was told they didn't have large cups so I had to switch to mediums. When I get up to the window to pay and get my ice cream, I'm told they are out of strawberries and would substitute a different fruit for no extra charge. lol. I would've offered something different versus accepting a lesser version for the same price. I was the third car in line on a Sunday at 6:57pm and it was very slow. The ice blizzards for the 2 we received appeared to start melting like they were sitting for some time. I would recommend going to a different establishment for your ice cream desires. read more

We went out specifically on this Saturday night to try the newly remodeled Dairy Queen. First time I have ever walked out of a restaurant. I was shocked at several things: although the business had been remodeled only a few weeks ago, it was filthy. The floors were dirty, food rubble in the corners, trash cans dirty and overflowing, tables were sticky, and looking into the kitchen was worse. The counter where the ice cream is prepared was dirty and covered with spilled food. The floors in the back were dirty. We arrived at the counter and observed 2 employees working in the kitchen. Neither one acknowledged us, although they both looked up and saw us. After several minutes, a dark-haired young woman walked up to the counter, ignored us, and began calling past us to someone in the dining room. We turned and looked and saw a young woman with thick curly long red hair sitting with two young men at a table. The girl at the counter called out to her several times, saying "Get up here, you have customers." After asking her to come up three times, red hair finally came up to the counter. She ignored us and walked past us, back to the kitchen to argue with dark hair. They argued for a minute or two while they continued to ignore us, and the third employee also ignored us. Red hair finally turned and walked towards the counter, and we left. Not one of the three employees ever spoke a word to us. As we got in the car, we saw red hair walk back out to the dining room with a cup, fill it at the drink station, and sit back down at a table with her two friends. Never, ever again will we go to this location. I can't believe a manager or owner would tolerate such poor employees. Someone spent some money on the remodel; they'll be out of business in short order if they don't invest in some basic customer service training for their employees. Horrible! read more

And this is over a span of about 2 or 3 months and they never have it. We asked the kid at the window if they were ever going to have it again and he laughed and said 'honestly probably not.' Not sure if they're just not cleaning their machine, not ordering the product, or what is going on. I arrived at The Dairy Queen in Prescott Valley AZ. The drive thru line was out onto the street, but after sitting in line for 10 minutes we started to move. I thought we would be ordering and at the window in no time. But sadly I was wrong. after almost 30 minutes sitting in line and two cars leaving due to the long wait I still had not placed my order. After almost 45 minutes waiting I pulled up to the speaker to place my order. As an employee talked through the speaker and I was about to order and they told me to wait and I definitely waited. Another 30 minutes passes by and I finally was able too order. After ordering another long wait was ahead of us just to receive our food. I don't understand how staff can be this slow when you have a multiple people behind the counter working. And how the company and or the franchise owner is making any profit. If I had the ability to give this location zero stars I would cause they are horrible and have no clue how to run a business and or how the customer service industry works. I am very disappointed they no longer include coconut in their Hawaiian Blizzard. So I ordered a Hawaiian anyway, which would only contain pineapple and banana. Today was our first visit to this Dairy Queen and we absolutely will not be back. We were the second car in line at the drive through and we waited about 10 minutes before anyone even took the order from the car in front of us. We finally got up to the menu and waited another several minutes before anyone took our order. The menu advertised Pumpkin Pie as the Blizzard of the Month. I attempted to order one for my daughter only to be told, "we aren't doing that one anymore." Um, then why is it on your menu? I assume it was November's Blizzard of the Month, but we're over halfway through December so why hasn't the sign been taken down? Anyway.... We ordered and got up to the window where a very unenthusiastic employee took my card and came back (surprisingly quickly!) with our ice cream. She handed it to me and started to close the window, luckily I was able to catch her and ask for my card back first. The entire experience was just frustrating and not worth it. We'll stick to Sonic. Food is not bad! Workers are delight! But, they will not accept bills over 20$. I dont always pay in cash. But, How much "cash"-based revenue can this owner throw away? Had orderd 48$ worth, handed them a 50$ and was turned away! No if, ands blah blah blah!
