I finally had the chance to stop in and try a dessert! Some friends and I met up for a quick dessert treat and to catch up. Inside is a bit outdated, but, there's several very large booths with plenty of space and a very cool cocoa cola machine, offering a variety of sodas with endless flavors, unfortunately, about 90% of the flavors were unavailable. I ordered a cookie dough blizzards, and it was perfect. There's a good amount of cookie dough in there for sure! We ordered, and the girls brought out treats out to our table very quickly. So the moment I walked in, we were not acknowledged whatsoever- After a few minutes went by, I began questioning if I should just place my order online to receive service, since that's all they seemed to be working on. I suppose this is the service that's expected from fast food ice cream places... Such a shame. Anyway, I ordered the Reese's Fluffernutter Blizzard... We ordered online and when we got there, our food was not ready. I had to go inside to wait for the food while waiting. They told me they don't have something to prepare the dessert so I had to order something else at the last minute and had to wait maybe 1520 minutes more after we did the order online 30 minutes before getting to that location. This store needs to upgrade their machines because clearly it makes the job harder for their employees. After waiting almost 25 minutes for 2 blizzards with no one in line I ask myself why as I see 8 people and a manager working. Messed up my blizzard order and had to wait for them to remake it. I asked for sprinkles on the side and the receipt said sprinkles on the side. They put it in my blizzard and I told them. He took the blizzard back and brought me back the same blizzard with sprinkles on the side and tried to pass off that this is what I asked for. Unfortunately, this place is starting to go down for me and my wife. The last 3 times have been less than good experiences. On our most recent visit. I made a order online and was able to get there before the order was done. The first item was a stack burger combo The burger barely had any lettuce and the beef patty didn't seen to taste fresh. The sandwich was not a good burger. My wife ordered the chicken strip meal. The fries were not hot or fresh.The chicken strips were hard and not too warm. Very disappointed. They also have a drive thru. Service could be better but it's a quick interaction. I only visit a Dairy Queen when I have a craving for a Blizzard. My trip to Dairy Queen was a total letdown. I ordered a shake, but when it arrived, there was no whip cream on top. I had to ask for some, and even then, they only gave me a tiny amount. Then, when I had asked for the whipped cream I was completely ignored. Not to mention, the guy looked bothered once he gave me my shake. The staff was rude, busy, and It's disappointing when you don't get what you expect, and it's even worse when the service is lacking. Then, to bother me again they gave me a sundae that has been laying around. Once, I opened the sundae in my car it melted all over my pants and car. We decided to go for burgers today, and finally decided to check out the Dairy Queen Grill & Chill, once we discovered it served burgers. If you ever lived in GA, then you may know the Dairy Queen restaurants there serve possibly the best burgers in the business! No rubber meat, cooked over fire, dripping with cheese that oozes onto the silver packaging. But then in Florida, we found out Dairy Queen down here didn't serve burgers. The Dairy Queen Grill & Chill concept came out in 2002. It is different from the original restaurant. Once inside, we found the place had ample seating, probably for families who wanted to dine-in. The location was clean, and the young lady up front was focused. She was attentive to our order as soon as we reached the counter. You can buy ice cream, the famous Dilly Bar, and even decorated cakes. This differs from the original DQ. If you want to celebrate something, but want to avoid the grocery store, this works. Regarding our order, the burgers were definitely tasty. However, they were a far cry from the flame-cooked burgers in GA. We immediately tasted the difference. Let's go with the analogy of eating Chinese food at a good Chinese restaurant outside of China, and immediately tasting the difference from Chinese food you ate in China. So if you never had a bona fide Dairy Queen burger in GA, you will be okay because ignorance is bliss. Dairy Queen Grill & Chill is a good choice for burgers, if you want to stray from Wendy's, Burger King, and McDonalds. It's a little weird to be writing a review for Dairy Queen, but this is the best DQ location I have ever stepped foot in. And I am not ashamed to say I have been to a lot of Dairy Queens. Their soft serves just hit the spot! What makes this place stand out is the interior is a real sit down restaurant feel with their large booths, tables, and plenty of seats. They even have a couple televisions hanging. It is really clean inside as well. This place is just well run because we get our orders quick and the items look as great like they do in the pictures. Not a sloppy half melted cone or cup like most places. Oh and their prices are a full dollar cheaper than most south Florida locations! A full dollar! We made a quick stop here today for a frozen treat! I miss the mom and pop ice cream shops that we used to frequent back in my NY hometown, but I guess this will do. I'm honestly not that familiar with Dairy Queen, so I wasn't sure what to order. I opted for a mini blizzard with chocolate ice cream and oreo pieces for $2.99. I went with this size due to mild lactose intolerance, but I'd also suggest this as the perfect portion for kids. There is ample seating inside and the store was clean when we visited. There are a couple of tables outside with umbrellas. This store sells a nice selection of products like a wide variety of ice cream sundaes, cookie sandwiches, bars and of course the blizzard! Happy to hear this just opened up near me. I've never actually had DQ's food, only their blizzards. This location was pretty spotless and in a new building. There's plenty of seating and the food came out quick. I ordered the $4.99 6 piece chicken tender bucket which came with fries and toast. They give you two sauces to dip it in, I got the honey mustard. Let me tell you, the sauces were pretty big and delicious. The chicken tenders were super crispy, the fries were good, could be a little bit crispier, and I gave the toast to my dog since I'm not a fan. I also tried their flamethrower burger which was huge. I really like the spicy sauce in it. I also got a small Oreo blizzard which was amazing. They had a refrigerator filled with ice cream cakes. They also sell candles. Wait times at this Dairy Queen are almost guaranteed to be long. They have a drive through which of course means more orders. Found the service to be adequate but a touch disorgazined. Ice cream taste was as it should be for the chain. They do get a plus for moving to this new location. They also publish local coupons that make this a good choice if you want to save money. Their menu here seemed to be bigger than other locations including a full food menu as well as ready to go take home ice cream treats. Parking can quickly fill up on high volume days. I absolutely adored this new location in my area! I'm a fat kid at heart. How can anyone pass up a blizzard on a stormy day? After the air and sea show, my boyfriend and I decided to indulge in our sweet tooth. We went through the drive through. I never even knew they had locations with them. It turned out to very efficient, and we had pretty good service. I noticed they have Twix blizzards now, and thought I just had to have it! I got it in the mini size. Was previously a repeat customer at this Dairy Queen, and used to recommend it to my colleagues for the decent service and good food. That all changed over the weekend when I purchased chicken fingers with gravy and soft pretzels with zesty queso. The food I received was rushed, overcooked and no sauces were in the bag! Now extra crispy is one thing, but no gravy or zesty queso for the order is two steps too far, especially when there's a giant, laminated and emblazoned sign at the window spouting how there is no charge for sauces with those menu items. I received no sauces, even though they were paid for and listed on the receipt --- and the food was subpar. What's more, I returned the next morning to have my concerns address and request a refund as the discrepancy wasn't discovered until returning home the night before. "The Manager," Maurice, had the gall to refuse to issue a refund, and stated that the sauces missing and food quality is not a reason for a refund, as I accepted the food. I did not accept the food, I accepted a bag that was supposed to have what I paid for; therefore, it should have been congruent with the quality and standard as outlined by the franchise. My order did not meet those expectations, and therefore I'm entitled to a refund. Not to mention the fact that gas is not the cheapest these days, and customers shouldn't have to waste time and money to return to a store because quality, standards, and customer service are lacking! He refused to make it right, so I've lodged a complaint with corporate, disputed the charge with Amex and a chargeback was promptly issued in my favor by the card issuer. My recommendation is to find a different DQ, or consider opening your own DQ franchise location that actually cares about the fact a business is handling food people eat. Now instead of issuing a simple refund or agreeing to issue a credit, the business will incur the cost of the original purchase and a chargeback penalty. That's no way to run an eatery. Having several negative experiences with cake preparation at another DQ location, this one exceeded my expectations. Maurice took my order meticulously and prepared the inside of the cake perfectly. For the decorating, Mrs. Fairweather exceeded my expectations beyond belief. It was a colorful work of art and not a simple cake with a sloppy message like I've come to expect from another store. I was greeted at the speaker promptly and placed my simple order. I drove around and paid. The staff was friendly and quick. From my view, the inside appeared clean. The outside was clean, no litter on the ground, which is always a plus since the place has only been open maybe a week or two. The only drawback is that parking is limited, which is puzzling. It's disgusting how many times I've been here since they opened. It's just so convenient to my house! Anyway, as far as fast food goes - this place is great. Here's a review of a few items I've tried: [Honey Hot Glazed] Chicken Strip Basket: I've had both the glazed and non-glazed varieties of these chicken strips and I love them both. The strips are a really nice size (4 actually fill up a hungry adult person!) and they are moist with a seasoned, crunchy breading. I prefer the honey hot, because I just love a spicy/sweet sauce. However, they do put quite a lot of the sauce, so I have found myself wiping some of it away with a napkin before going in OR I take some of the french fries (come with the basket) and smush them into the glaze like a dip. Whatever, it's good. The baskets also bring Texas toast with a little cup of gravy. I thought this was a random inclusion, but it helps with making sure you're full with your $4.99 meal. The gravy was thick and savory, and perfect for dipping fries into it. As you may have noticed, I like to dip my fries into things. Additionally, the fries were not that great on their own. They're not bad, they're just kind of blah - lacking in crunch or seasoning or something. Wild Alaskan Pollock Sandwich: Sometimes I like to convince myself that ordering a fried fish sandwich is the healthier option. Anyway, the sandwich was good. Sandwich was served hot, fish was flaky inside and crunchy outside - just how it should be. The buns it was served between were soft too. It came with the standard lettuce and tartar sauce, but I didn't think there was enough tartar sauce. This obviously may vary based on who makes the sandwich and what you consider "enough." Cheese Curds: I love all things cheese and cheese-related. These were good. I wouldn't say they are like the most authentic-tasting and best-ever cheese curds, because they come from DQ and they aren't, but they're good. I gave one to my boyfriend and he said, "they're mozzarella stick-balls," so do with that what you will. They're not though. You don't get the mozzarella-y pull, you get the cheese curd-squeak. You get a ton of them in a regular-size portion, like probably more than one person should eat. They serve them to you with a giant dipping thing of marinara sauce, which I guess says more to my boyfriend's point than mine. Orange Julius: I've never had one before this. I know they've existed since the beginning of time and that there are people who love this and try to recreate it at home. (Actually, it's my awareness of those people that caused me to order this to begin with.) Orange Julius is like a creamsicle-y smoothie thing, with more flavor in favor of the orange juice than the cream. It was refreshing and I'm sure I'll be ordering it again someday. BLIZZARDS: Honestly, this is what I've always known DQ for. Before they introduced the concept of "Grill" in SoFla, I knew them for how good they were at the "Chill." I'm not going to go into detail about every Blizzard combination I've ever had, but I've had a lot (not just at this location). Pick your favorite toppings and go in on it. That's it. It's easy. Well, first they have to flip it in front of you, because that's important. They want you to know that the delicious treat you're about to put into your body is basically ice cream cement, strong enough to repel the forces of gravity. One girl, at this location, forgot she had already flipped it in front of me, and decided to flip it again, and again. It still held up. Just yesterday, I tried flipping it after I had been eating it for 10 minutes, and it still held up. So yeah, I don't know, but it's good. Oh, and it comes in perfect size options, including mini, which is a great way to lie to myself about how I'm making healthy choices. Anyway, there's a lot more to try. They have burgers and fancy chicken sandwiches, sundaes and crunchy cakes. I'm sure I'll work my way through the entire menu at some point. The next time you're thinking of going to the McDonalds or Burger King down the street, give this place a try instead. OH, but the service! It's been good on every occasion so far. This is a great looking Dairy Queen but the worse customer service. If I knew his name I would give out his name in this review. The assistant who helped us was extremely rude and using a sarcastic voice. I was flummoxed why he was treating us that way. I don't know if he had a bad day or not but he had such a nasty attitude. We were just trying to decide for ice cream and I know he was probably annoyed we were taking forever to order but if I was patient until he was done with the register, I think is only fair he provides the same patience to the customer.
