While the this location is still new, it's clean and in a busy area, the food just isn't that great. And this is based off my blizzard that I ordered. I ordered through the drive-thru and got two meals and a medium Butterfinger blizzard. DQ advertises that if you flip the cup upside down, nothing spills. So when I came up to the window, the guy flipped the cup upside down and said "magic!" ...LOL that certainly gave me a laugh. But anyways, they didn't have my food ready,yet they had the guy's food who was behind me ready before me. WUT. Ugh. I waited about 5-8 minutes, a staff member came out and handed me my food. When I got home, my blizzard was starting to get liquidy!!!! Nooooooo There must be something wrong, because I only had that thing for a good 10 minutes! And I don't live but down the street from DQ. Ugh. I was disappointed. I could literally drink my blizzard. It would night as well be called a malt. Actually, not even. My burger and chicken strip sandwich was okay. My mom actually had the burger and wasn't too fond of the abundant amount of mustard. My chicken strip sandwich was crispy but there was way too much shredded lettuce. It became a mess. This place has lost its luster over the years. Food is beyond over cooked and falls apart no matter what location you go to. The one and only thing that drives me in if at all is getting a blizzard and even than I was at a location with a friend the other day and when they turn over the blizzard to show you how thick or cold it is I don't know but it literally fell out on the ground we started laughing uncontrollably made the girl feel embarrassed which wasn't our intent but it was too funny not to laugh. We don't frequent many fast food places but decided to stop in yesterday as the weather was bad and so was the traffic. I ordered the steak burger and my husband ordered the chicken fingers. We were very surprised at how good everything was. My steak burger was delicious and very moist. My husband loved the chicken fingers as they were not fried "hard" like they are at so many places. Even the gravy with them was good. He also got a strawberry shake and it was the best we've ever had hands down. The fries were so so. Can't beat McDonald's fries. The women's restroom needs some work as I've seen better in some gas stations. The staff, especially the order taker were excellent. I just left here. I got a large chocolate extreme blizzard. I never put enough chocolate in it for me, so I paid extra for extra hot fudge. I've been to this location multiple times over the years. Most big city DQ locations I've visited seem to be missing the flare that the small town locations seem to share. This location is an exception. The service has always been top notch as well as the food. The last visit blew my mind with how fresh my wife's crispy chicken salad was. Oh wow! We LOVE Dairy Queen. We often, almost weekly, travel to see our family in Dallas area. It's our custom to stop at Dairy Queen's along the way. (Calvert & Hearne, Texas) We stop to get a dipped cone. They are delicious. Plus, they hearken to boyhood memories of DQ stops in the past. They told me they couldn't upcharge me on the drink and totally charged me twice. $6.36 for the meal and $2.29 for the large drink. The meal is supposed to include a medium drink, fries, sundae, and the chili cheese hot dog. The manager, Serena, just called and apologized and offered a free drink if I ever go back. Driving with my mom she saw that a new DQ had opened up and decided to stop in for ice cream since it's been a while since we've seen a DQ in these parts. Naturally, the first thing I do is check in. There's a check in offer for a free blizzard topping so I order a blizzard and show the cashier the coupon on my phone. He excuses himself for a minute to go talk to a manager and when he returns he says they "don't take coupons off the phone" Um...I'm sorry, are we in 2014 or nah? It has been awhile since I've stepped foot in a Dairy Queen, so when a new one opened up close to my house, I thought I would give it a shot. Normally when I have gone to DQ in the past, its usually been for their desserts. This time though I opted for their $5 lunch special (actually it was $6 since I upgraded for the blizzard version for $1 more). I think they are still getting the kinks worked out. The cashier, while friendly, needed help multiple times with our order. Also, the special is not as advertised on their website. On their website it says the burger comes with cheese (I was charged extra for it), and also it says you are supposed to get a small blizzard for $1 more (I was given a 'mini'....barely a child's portion). These are minor quibbles but I still think worth noting in that we didn't quite get what we paid for. The food was your standard mediocre fast food fare...nothing to drive out of your way for. If I was blindfolded I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between this and Mickey D's. Overall the restaurant was rather clean, and my son loved the spoon door handles. If I am close and looking for a cheap lunch, I may seek them out again. read more

I used to visit this location once or twice a week with my partner for ice cream in the evenings, but we stopped going a few months back. Granted, the staff typically only consists of high school aged students which is not an issue, but it is when they are: short with you at the DT speaker, short with you at the DT window, and always park you for a simple order. The most I have ever gotten from here in the DT were two blizzards and we always were parked. P.S. Always ask for napkins because you won't get any unless you ask. I live in the Katy area. I have to say that this location is the cleanest and best by far. Some of the complaints on here are silly. Who thinks several Blizzards are made in 2 minutes? Sure one might be possible, but not several. Who doesn't know DQ soft serve starts to melt immediately, especially in Houston in June? I'm going to assume the app issue is something that specifically states that it's available at participating businesses. Yes, it's 2014 (2016 now) but that doesn't mean everyone honors every deal. It's always been that way, including coupons and even nationally televised campaigns. There are myriad reasons that life gets messy. Grow a pair, be reasonable and stop acting entitled. You may just find happiness. Also, complaining about the quality of fast feed is kind of pointless. I absolutely agree with things like mold on buns, or dumping dirty fries in a fryer as being bad. I've had the dude. It's basically a frozen pork fritter. It's not anything special. For what it is, it's good. It's not haute cuisine. Please don't go to DQ and expect anything more than fast food and soft serve treats. It is not DQ's fault that you don't understand ice cream melts. I give 5 stars because, around here, it's by far the best DQ you'll find. Period. And, I've never had any trouble whatsoever with quality of food, staff, wait times or order accuracy. The only caveat is that I have never used the drive through. But honestly, every business that has a drive through has issues with accuracy and perceived speed in drive throughs. It was so nice to just run through the drive through since we weren't presentable to go in. The menu was obviously updated in the last 15 years but it still had so many familiars. Had a wonderful time last night after my nephew's practice. We took a 3 year old, 4 year old, two 5 year olds and a baby and no one could decide what they wanted. I really thought the bad reviews at this location were likely exaggerated, but I went for lunch today and the food was delicious....until I bit into a twist tie (that likely went to the buns package). I happened to eat my burger from the other side so I didn't bite into it until I had a few bites left. I'm not 100% sure how you can completely miss putting a twist tie on a sandwich; I guess it could have been much worse but I digress.... The fries were VERY well done (AKA: basically burnt). Well I should've read the reviews. We like to come here during the week for dinner with the kiddos once a week or so. We enjoy how fresh our meals are and trying things on the menu. We love the country basket. The service is meh, it is fast food. I am not expecting exceptional service like another joint. So I'm good. It's always clean when we go. We love that there is a dilly bar that's cherry. Yummmmmmmmm. Food is great although service maybe needs improvement.
