Terrible store. Pulled up to drive thru 20 min before closing, they are only doing DoorDash orders. Knowing full well that DoorDash has cut orders off a half hour before closing. Nobody in drive thru line. "Open" sign in window but doors locked. About 6 people standing around in a circle in the kitchen area with their thumbs up their......how lazy can you get!? Wish I could just quit work 15 min early every day. You lost a customer for life. No wonder stores are going out of business. Workers want &20/h but customer service declines and business leaves. This location is complete and utter trash and I will not be returning again. My most recent visit of 3/16/2022 will be my last. This is far and away the most expensive Dairy Queen in the area, and the prices just keep getting higher all the time. It was typically between $12-13 for two large Blizzards. On the most recent visit, it was between $14-15 for two large Blizzards which is absolutely outrageous. It is especially outrageous when the Dairy Queen at 13 & Rochester charges between $11-12 for the exact same order. I don't mind waiting if there are several cars in front of me but there's always a long wait regardless if there's cars or not. I can be the only customer in line at the drive thru and it will still take an insane amount of time. When you pull up to the window you can see several young employees in there...not working. But they are having a great time chatting and hanging out, so two thumbs up, Dairy Queen, for upping the social interactions between the local teenagers. The employees also have never once flipped the ice cream because it is ALWAYS super soft and leaking by the time they hand it to you. Even more so on my most recent visit because I watched my Blizzards sit for at least two minutes before an employee bothered to open the window and hand them to me. I don't need management or corporate or whomever to reply to this with a blanket form reply, "Oh, sorry to hear. Give us another chance." You don't care what customers have to say. You get no more chances. This review is just to let others know to skip by this one and go elsewhere. Even in these construction times, it is totally worth it to go to literally ANY OTHER ice cream place in the area. You'll save money and get better product in the end. Thank You. read more

The last time we came here, we waited in line to find out that they were out of vanilla ice cream. However that happens at a Dairy Queen, I don't know, but whatever. Today, we tried again. We ordered three things - a blizzard, a shake, and a malt...I had to repeat the order at that time. No total given, I was just told to pull forward. Turns out their wasn't a total given because she couldn't be bothered to put it in the system after I told it to her twice, so I had to repeat the order at the window and wait all over again. Maybe the line wouldn't be so long if they could take the order at the speaker (one of the first two or three times they ask) instead of making people give it several times at the speaker and then again at the window? That way it's close to ready when they make it to the window? Anyway, after waiting for the order, they finally shoved everything out the window in a carrier - they didn't serve the blizzard upside down, like they're supposed to -most likely because it wasn't the proper consistency. Not surprising. Then, as I pulled away and looked at the milk they tried to pass off as a malt, I had to turn around for a refund. IT WAS ALL LIQUID - not frozen at all. I took it in and told them I wanted a refund and asked why they'd even serve that...I was told, "it's a malt". That's weird, because the last malt I received was FROZEN. This "malt" could be poured out like water. Is this a new menu item? Malted milk? Crap "service" twice in a row. We won't waste our time a third time. read more

I think it's wonderful when businesses are willing to hire the mentally challenged. It gives them something to concentrate on and work for, and helps with goal setting. However, I feel it's possibly unwise to entirely staff a shop with these folks. I ordered a light smoothie, which they serve with only fruit and ice (at other DQ locations). When our order was read back, it was just a smoothie, so I corrected it. I watched them make a non-light smoothie. I attempted to signal the person at the blender but they ignored me. It was brought to me and I was told it was a smoothie. I then reminded them that I ordered a light smoothie and the guy looked down at it, filled with creamy goodness, and looked up and me and said very slowly "Yes, a light smoothie". As far as service and ice cream goes, this place is okay. However when it comes to food: DON'T do it! They don't have a full food menu which Dairy Queen's website doesn't state. So when I finally got to the speaker I was shocked to see so little options for food and quickly ordered the "artisan" chicken bacon ranch sandwich. It was awful.
