I got a chocolate dipped ice cream cone, and it wasn't great.... Chocolate was super thin and not hard when I got it. Ice cream melted crazy fast and it wasn't even hot outside!!! It was sooo messy and truly melted within minutes. Soft serve was way too soft. Taste wise it was just so so. A fun experience but I wouldn't go back if you want good tasting ice cream. Ordered 2 swirl cones about 15 minutes ago. Mine was about 90% chocolate and 10% vanilla. When I complained the girl working there said "that's the way the machine is making it; there's nothing I can do about it." The girl even rejected my request to switch to all vanilla which, although not my first choice, was a reasonable resolution. When my daughter began eating her swirl cone with chocolate sprinkles it became clear that hers was 50/50. When I went back to complain again and told her I'd be posting a bad review she lied and said she would have given me a new cone if I had asked for it. Terrible customer service. I've been going to other Dairy Queens for over 50 years but this place is an outlier. I think this is the first bad review I've ever written but I couldn't let this one go. Went here with my boyfriend and their machine charged his card four separate times for one order. The employee even admitted their system was messing up. When we contacted them about it, they basically said "too bad" because we didn't have a receipt -- even though we had clear proof of the charges on his bank account. They made zero effort to make it right. We used to come here regularly, but that's not happening anymore. I tried to work it out directly with the store, and instead of taking responsibility, they gave me the runaround and refused to refund me -- all because I didn't have a receipt. Just got home with the 2 signature Blizzards I ordered from this Dairy Queen. 1 was just vanilla soft serve blended up, zero toppings. The other was the same with some strawberry syrup in it, again no toppings whatsoever. Quite disappointing :( read more

Order a DoorDash at 7:07 and my order has not showed up and it's 8:50 this is just terrible to have a customer wait this long.

The staff was friendly and service was quick. But I wouldn't come back solely based off of the fact they charge 2.72 for pup cups. It's based off of location. But it wasn't even the real thing which is supposed to be soft serve and a doggy biscuit. And I wasn't told about the charge until after the fact. Always stop on my ride home! It never blows me away but it is a guilty pleasure. I always go with the blizzard with some sort of candy bar in there. I like the reeses and oreos especially. I always ask them to put extra in and if I had one critique I would say that they blend the pieces up too fine. I like contrast in texture so leaving them bigger is what I prefer. I have never seen a big line here but there are always a few people here. It is a small place with a small parking lot but I always have no problem getting parking. What to do when it's above 95 degrees out? Eat ice cream!!! Who can say no to ice cream? Not me! I was in the search for the nearest Diary Queen location by our new home and Yelp led me here. Before I know, my family and I are stuffing our face with the sweet treat. I ordered one of my fav, pistachio ice cream! They had so many hard ice cream flavors so I will definitely come back to try some other new flavors I've never heard of. The place is on route 9 and the store front is very close to the highway where cars are zooming by making me feel a bit unease with smaller kids running around. There's plenty of parking and a few benches for customers to sit. The service was quick and friendly. The price can be anywhere from $4 to $6 per person depending on what you order. I ordered a customized birthday cake from Jayy who was working that day. She was friendly and extremely helpful when taking my order. Since I needed the cake within 24 hours, she assured me that my request could be met. The next day, when I returned to pick up my cake, Jayy was working. She gave me my cake and I was so happy because it looked so pretty. I thanked her and took the cake home. The consensus among my family was that the cake not only looked beautiful but it tasted absolutely delicious! I will definitely be visiting this Dairy Queen quite often! One of my favorite foods in the summer is of course, ice cream! Among the different ice cream establishments, I frequent is the Dairy Queen on Route 9S- in Sayreville. Its location and product quality make me a faithful customer. In a hot summer evening it could be a little crazy with parking and long lines, but I believe everyone leaves happy! I prefer hard ice cream and they have a decent flavor selection of this type; among the ones I like here are: Double Fudge Brownie Chocolate, Salted Caramel, Dulce Leche and Rum Raisin. Of course, when in the mood I do ask for a Sundae made with hard ice cream. Dairy Queen is always great for a sweet treat and this location is very conveniently located. While I love that the location is so convenient I hate how close the building is to the road. I'm just guessing but it feels like less than 50' from the building to route 9 south. As you're ordering the cars whizzing by is kind of unnerving. The other issue at his location is the staff. They're always friendly and work as quick as they can but this spot is always understaffed, even in the middle of summer. read more

Extremely disappointed. Arrived at this location prior to their closing time and attempted to order a blizzard. One of the workers, Alexis, was extremely rude to my friends and I and gave us so much attitude. She told us they couldn't use the blizzard machine, because it was too close to their closing time. This translates to - the employees already cleaned the blizzard machine and didn't feel like re-cleaning it after making another blizzard for us. If a store is open until a certain time then they should offer everything on their menu until that closing time. I have never had this problem before at any Dairy Queen. I was so eager to have a Dairy Queen ice cream because I had not seen one since I was kid. I was completely awestruck when I saw it. Then I get there, race up to the window, and ask for a chocolate dipped cone. And then I heard the cruelest words ever spoken, "We're outta chocolate." Por Qué?!!!!!!! Alright, so once the initial shock wore off, I composed myself and had a Blizzard. I suppose I should have said extra cookie dough stuffs because it was hardly noticeable in the cup given to me. My friend had so much stuff in it, I couldn't even taste the ice cream. He had to have had "after Trick-or-Treating Candy coma sickness" after digesting such a concoction. Place itself was seated right next to the highway making it difficult to hear the attendant. I think she was kind of annoyed with me because I asked her to repeat what she said a few times. Workers appeared to be young college kids, but were nothing more than warm bodies filling a scheduling need. Nothing exceptional in my opinion. Parking lot could have used some picking up as people forgot what trashcans looked like and threw stuff on the ground, annoying I know, but nevertheless, businesses have to be vigilant about these things. I couldn't drink it because it was straight up syrup. Today I decided it's been awhile since i've been there, so I thought i'd give it another try. I ordered a vanilla milkshake with pineapple chunks and a peanut butter cup milkshake.
