    Chocolate Malt

I think Dairy Queen as a whole isn't quite as good as it used to be and not nearly as good as I recall when I was a kid. This particular location is inside of a gas station. Location itself is clean and easy to get to, but the ice cream has gone downhill. My wife and I were camping up in Prescott and she suggested we stop for a tasty treat. Got gas in our truck and went inside. I went with a chocolate malt and she went with a Reese's Blizzard. My malt was meh. Malt powder wasn't mixed in very thoroughly which left chunks of frozen powder scattered throughout my ice cream. My wife's Blizzard was also kinda meh. At no fault of their own, we reside in Peoria and if it's any consolation the DQ here sucks, as well. I'll give them 3-stars because our order was correct (after double-checking with us) and the location itself is clean. Cost us $10 and I think this reiterates that the franchises as a whole leave a lot to be desired. Not sure I really have any incentive to go back. For $10, I'd rather go to the grocery and get a couple of pints of real ice cream and call it a day.

Black bits of filthy grill stick to stuck to the tortillas.

Absolutely disgusting. Took 20 minutes to get a "snack melt" and potato skins. I will submit pictures of the food. It was so gross I seriously wouldn't feed it to my dog. There were dried bits of filthy grill stuck to the tortillas, the chicken was completely dried out and looked like it had been sitting on out all night. It was beyond repulsive.

The cashier, Mallory, asked us if our order was a blizzard and we said we hadn't even ordered yet.

We were seated right away in one of the high tops at the front of the restaurant by the windows. This is probably the best views of the entire courthouse square. There was great music playing. Note: We did not venture to the bar in the back but it appeared to be more busy than the front dining area. We ordered the West Coast Philly and BLT both with fries. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time. The Philly seemed a bit smaller than what we've had in most other places but it was good. The BLT had the usual plus avocado and a delicious aioli. It was very tasty. The fries were crispy and well-seasoned. Unfortunately, none of the food was hot. I am a stickler about this. If it's intended to be hot, it should be. The Philly and fries could have been a home run if they hadn't been cold. We shared our thoughts with the server who apologized and gave us a small discount. She indicated that she would tell the kitchen. I really hope they can pull it all together because they have the potential to earn five star reviews!

I had the mushroom burger. It was underwhelming. The onion rings were good. Hopefully it just an off day today.

Wasn't sure what to expect, but this place is a hidden gem…read more First, they offer a dedicated gluten-free menu alongside the regular one, so you can enjoy the same great dishes without compromise if you have dietary needs. Second, not a single item on the menu disappoints. From the time we ordered, our appetizers arrived in about five minutes, and our entrées were served in under 20 minutes. The fish tacos and the burger were especially amazing. Definitely a must-visit and must-try spot!

The mushroom bisque, farm crab cakes and the steak tacos were ordered. The mushroom bisque was good and wished we had all ordered that instead. The steak tacos were on cold tortillas. Our friend tried to get the waitress' attention when they made eye contact and the waitress didn't seem to care to come over until my friend took a bite (by then she didn't feel it was worth it to say anything with the way the waitress was). The crab cakes were pretty bland and not worth $20. The waitress didn't check up on us again until we were done and came to refill my ice tea one time but halfway. We were excited to try this place but sadly it seems like we came on a bad day. I will say that the hostess was super bubbly and nice we loved how welcoming she was. The inside of the restaurant was pretty and loved how small it was.

They split the small side Caesar salad for us! Said the larger portion might have been more than we needed, which I really appreciated!

I had dinner here a couple of weeks ago while in town remembering it from a previous trip about 2…read moreyears ago. My visit was on a nice weather Sunday early evening. Colt Grill is located on Whiskey Row and caddy corner from the Courthouse. It is easy to find and street parking is plentiful. Colt Grill has both indoor and outdoor uncovered seating which is so popular with the weather here. Inside it's a counter service restaurant with a bar that serves BBQ. I ordered the 1/2 smoked chicken platter that comes with slaw and cornbread for $17.50. I added the "meal deal" of 2 sides for $6 more and chose the sweet beans and Texas Toast because I wanted to try those side dishes in addition with what came with the meal. The meal was ready in less than 15 minutes. I immediately realized that I ordered too much food. Along with the 1/2 bird, the slaw and jalapeño cheese cornbread were full size sides. The beans and toast were too but then I did get to try them all so I wasn't complaining. The chicken looked perfect and was juicy and flavorful with a hint of smoke and a lot of taste. The cole slaw was cool and creamy and the big slice of cornbread moist and delicious. The beans had content in them with brisket and onions and looked great but were unfortunately dry. I would have been content to not order the two extra sides and save the $6. All in all the food was good tasting and affordable. I would have given a 4 score except for these negatives: First the dry beans. Second was for the flies buzzing around inside. Third was that they were out of some utensils and I had to use a child's fork to eat with. Evidently the dishwasher wasn't keeping up. Finally they have a sauce bar here with about 8 bbq sauces with descriptions to use which is neat. However, the 2 sauces that I wanted were out at the time. 3 of the 4 negatives were management related issues and may have not been the norm here however that is what I experienced. Colt Grill is a popular restaurant in Prescott that needs a little better organization. However, I would return on a future visit here.

I found my new home... and it's Colt Grill BBQ & Spirits…read more We just got a little cabin up here in Prescott, so I'm officially a part-time mountain man now--and Colt Grill bbq is my new go to place for grub. I ordered the Philly with garlic butter fries (because why wouldn't I), and my girl got the smoked turkey club it, did come with a full bottle of mayo in it so maybe ask for light mayo if you order that , but the mac & cheese could bring a grown man to tears. 3/4 slapped harder than expected Now, I did make a rookie mistake at the bar. I Ordered a regular 805 like a chump... $6 for 16oz. Then I see this glorious 22oz mug you can buy for $14--first fill is FREE, and refills are only $7 forever after as long as you bring your mug. You mean I could've had a beer and a souvenir? Say less. I'm now emotionally attached to this mug. The patio is the move--plenty of space, good vibes, and dogs welcome. I'll be back, and next time I'm bringing friends, family, and probably some strangers too.
