I can treat myself to a nice Mint Oreo Blizzard sometimes so that's what I did last week. If anything I was in the store for about 10 minutes and then walked out with a medium Blizzard cup. It was pretty fast ordering from here, Mint Oreo Blizzard is definitely a classic that many others like and it's something you can't go wrong. The staff did the upside down trick to show that the ice cream is secure and the rest was history. I can't say when I'll be coming back for another treat but blizzards are so good! read more

Extremely nice employees! I'd like to thank the entire staff here. My son and I have visited fairly often. All of the folks here are super kind. This is a small location, so you won't find hot foods here. Rather you'll find their ice cream products. Am disappointed with corporate folks, whom decided against butterscotch being a dip flavor. My hope is this comes back, as that on a vanilla cone is a tasty treat. Parking is a cluster. Absolutely a headache, and much of this is Walmart shoppers and whom I believe but can't prove are commuters. Mall management would be smart to look into that. Great ice cream place. Note this location does not serve food. Grew up near a Dairy Queen and we used to love ordering fries and ice cream.

Come here often cause my daughter loves it but staff here are clueless. Every time I get a small cone for her they definitely put way to much ice cream, more like a medium or large cone...went to get a s'mores blizzard cause they just came back and the guy hands me a watery cup of vanilla ice cream and I made him re make it. Same guy took my order and didn't know what a small cup with sprinkles was. Charged me for a dipped cone in a cup. Staff is clueless...wont come back here anymore, there's a grill and chill alittle bit farther away but I'll make the trip. read more

I haven't been here in a long time but surprised how much the prices have gone up. I got a small sized Strawberry Cheesecake Blizzard and it came out to a little under $7. The ice cream wasn't as rich as ones I've had at other ones, and was a tad watery. Also there weren't a whole lot of cheesecake chunks so I was a little disappointed. Went there the other day and as soon as I walked in, I was immediately repulsed by the strong body odor/arm pit smell in the store. It immediately turned my stomach. Never been that bad before but its 110% the employees. I feel bad because how do you tell them or the manager this is a problem? Otherwise food was good and quick service. How could I not love a place that will make my special chocolate covered waffle cone sundae with Heath Toffee, carmel, pecans and whip cream with cherries on top at 8:30 pm Jan 9, 2010? I suddenly decide I want it, and there it is! Poof! This place is very clean and the staff attentive and courtious. There is also a huge flat screen so both the employee and I were distracted by the interested story - but it all worked out. My sundae looked so delicious I wanted to eat it right there but I got it to go. They provided the extra lid and bag, whatnot. I got home, divided into three and we still couldn't finish it. But it was soo good! I think the sundae with a Star fruit pop was about $6, if I remember correctly. It is a bit hard to see becuase it is on the side of the much larger parking lot for Wal Mart - but it there and have a couple tables outside in the warmer months. read more

This Dairy Queen is so very busy in the summer time - I have abandoned my quest for a Blizzard many times because of lines out the door. The parking lot area is tiny too - good thing the Walmart parking area is right there (but Walmart parking is always a hot mess too). Recently I went in the middle of the work week to pre-order a birthday cake (and there was a steady stream of people coming in and out in mid November! Maybe I should open a DQ...). These locations are to be avoided at all costs. 2-More chunks, but not yet to acceptable levels. You're usually left wanting more. 3-Your average, run-of-the-mill dairy queen. Most of the time they get it right. Chunk to ice cream ratio is acceptable. 4-The Burke Commons Dairy Queen. Fast service, no skimping on the chunks, and they always have the newest flavors. 5-The Holy Grail of Dairy Queens. At these locations, Blizzards exist in their ideal form. The ratio of chunks to ice cream is completely reversed, and you have to eat your Blizzard with a fork and knife. Went by this DQ location today expecting it to be opened at 11:00 like every other DQ. Waited and waited....nothing. The hours are not posted online or on the door like most retail businesses. Finally left and went back later. They actually open at 12:00. We returned only because my son really wanted to try their advertised seasonal special (Oreo and Peppermint Blizzard). They were out of it. How can you possible be out of Oreos and peppermint 4 days before Christmas when it is your Christmas special. There is a Walmart in the same shopping center. I'm pretty sure they have Oreos and candy canes there. read more

They do a good job at this Dairy Queen. People come in spurts. There will be nobody in the store then there is a huge line. They get through the line quick when it builds up. And, they make a really good blizzard. It stays in the cup, etc. Also, I bring my two kids and they always treat them special, talk to them, etc. This is probably my favorite DQ! The Burke location of Dairy Queen is a great stop for a quick treat. They do not serve the food menu like at a lot of locations; they only serve dessert. This is okay with me! The employees are very quick and accurate with orders. Sometimes, the line can stretch to the door but people are taken care of super fast. There is seating for about 25 patrons. The parking is a little tricky when the temperatures rise so it may be easier to park in the main section of the lot rather than try to jockey for a place in front of the shop. Let me say first off, the young adults who work there are sweethearts. They are polite and patient with my young elementary school age children. The ice cream is always fine. The last few times I've been there I've noticed they no longer have the TV tuned to CNN so my kids aren't bombarded by the latest horrors of the day. Went to this location yesterday and one of the cashiers (a guy, who we believe to be an owner or related to them) refused to sell us blizzards at the mini size, even though we repeatedly asked for them. Told us it was only for children and forced us to buy the small size instead. We've been to the location several times and NEVER had this issue before. It's quite apparent that he was simply trying to upsell and bring in more money for the business. We'll be reporting this to the official Dairy Queen headquarters and wanted to send out a warning in case this happens to anyone else. We were appalled by this service and if we didn't have people waiting for ice cream (after being promised some) we would have walked right out the door.
