    Spicy Buffalo Chicken Wrap
    Laura H.

If you want high quality service, fast, cheap, and delicious food this is the place to go! I got the Buffalo chicken wrap and it was so good, the chicken was cooked fresh and it had a crunch that made it so enjoyable to eat. The Greek salad is simple but taste fresh. My friend got the steak sub and it taste better than most restaurants, meat had lots of flavor. The owner of the restaurant is a friendly nice man. Restaurant is very clean and food comes out fast.

Rating: ***** An experience I'd always remember **** I am coming back *** I'd be willing to come back ** Wouldn't recommend anyone * Disastrous experience/restaurant **** My new staple brunch spot in Burke Review: Smith and Clarksons is a staple brunch spot in Burke, known for their sandwiches and chicken tenders along with house Korean-style fried chicken sandwiches. Hungry one afternoon with some time for lunch, I sought out looking for cheap eats in Burke. Strolling around in Burke town center, I walked into Smith's as I saw a decent amount of people eating and was curious as I don't regularly go to brunch spots. Thinking I had to try the chicken they were known for, I settled on a chicken tender wrap. Taking my first bites, I was greeted with a lightly breaded chicken with a balanced amount of sauce, just enough to taste it but not enough to take attention from the well-seasoned chicken in the wrap. Typically my favorite part of fried chicken is the texture but surprisingly I'm still very happy with this as the breading seemed intentional and overall it was well executed. On my next visit, I was running low on time but still wanted to try more of the menu so I put in an early pickup order of the turkey club sandwich. As I hadn't seen the pictures, the portion was a big surprise as I opened the box. Nicely cut sandwiches sat with a good quarter of turkey along with thin slices of tomatoes, textured bacon, and lettuce. Compliments to the person who makes the sandwiches at Smith and Clarkson although the sandwich is pretty big, the way they cleanly put it together and portioned it meant you never had parts of it falling out as you ate. Simply put, a basic but very well-made sandwich. Smith and Clarksons is a staple stop in Burke and has just become mine too, with their well-made food at reasonable prices (Chicken Wrap 9.89 & Turkey Club 11.99). I excitedly am waiting to return to try the Korean fried chicken next.

Another early morning ride-sharing with the Hubby. And what do I do when I get to work early? I want to eat. Arrived right as they were opening at 7:30. The Owner, Alan, greeted me warmly and I ordered a number 3 which consisted of bacon, scrambled eggs, home fries and wheat toast(Yep. I am allowing carbs today as I plan to share with my coworker). The food came out quickly and was well-seasoned. I will definitely partake of this establishment again as they are close to my job.

I have both dined in and carried out, for lunch and breakfast respectfully, and have been happy with the overall experiences. Breakfast has a variety of options and even a regular old breakfast sandwich (Egg over hard, ham (bacon or sausage available), and cheese on a toasted & buttered English muffin) really hit the spot! The lunch menu has a wide variety of both hot and cold sandwiches, wraps, salads, and a few specialty Asian dishes. Typically there is a sandwich special and a plate special-both always sound delicious! Portions are large and prices are very reasonable. The only thing that is important to note is your food may take awhile because it seems they have consistent staffing issues. Since this is a busy plaza plus it shares a parking lot with Walmart, expect to park further away from the building. I can't wait to return to try the Chicken & Waffles!

It's not a bad place for breakfast or brunch. Once you get in you order then find a seat. Food is brought out to you. Everything tasted good, nothing stands out but I liked the waffle. They top off your coffee just need to ask,

This is the quintessential Mom & Pop diner. It's a couple and probably their son and another worker that make up the whole staff. The food is absolutely fantastic . The main drawback is that when the diner gets busy, the wait for your food gets a little long. The only upside to that is the food is worth the wait. I haven't had anything bad there at all. I highly recommend this diner, but if you can avoid the busy times (like weekend lunch, etc.) you'll get the fantastic food quicker. The ambiance is that of an older diner, but not in any way horrible.

First time in the cafe today. I order the 4 piece chicken tenders. Let me tell you the size of each of the chicken tenders was great. Each chicken tender was not too crispy on the edges. Instead, each chicken tender was lightly breaded and full/generous piece of chicken underneath. These chicken tenders actually top ranked. I was pleasantly surprised at my experience with the cafe. J would go back and am already planning another chicken tender order next week.

As kind of a takeoff on the typical 1950's diner theme, BGR has an 80's rock theme, both in the music they play and the wall decorations. You go to the counter, place your order and they give you a buzzer to alert you that your meal is ready. I ordered the basic "The Burger". I like that in placing your order, you can explicitly specify what condiments and toppings you want on your burger. I also appreciate that each table has its own set of condiments and paper towels. Okay, cutting to the chase, how was my burger? In a big way, it comes down to if you prefer flame-broiled or griddle-cooked meat. Myself, I prefer griddle-cooked. Flame-broiled reminds me of Burger King burgers. BGR burgers are flame-broiled, so I don't love the taste of BGR meat, but it's still good. So If you like flame-broiled, you'll love BGR burgers. I was kinda surprised at the burger bun. It looked like a Brioche bun which is notorious for falling apart, but the BGR bun is sturdy and holds up well. The toppings, including grilled onions, were great. So overall, a very good burger. Yeah, all things considered, I'll be back.

Finally coming in for lunch did not disappoint. We tried their "3 Bites & Small Plates" deal for $25, and it was absolutely worth it. We went with the feta dip (of course), cheddar cheese curds, and tikka masala meatballs. For a non-Indian restaurant, the tikka masala was surprisingly on point - really flavorful and well-balanced. The cheese curds were super satisfying, especially dipped into the sauces they come with. But the star of the show is still the hot honey feta dip. The bread is lightly charred, giving it a subtle smoky flavor that pairs perfectly with the warm, salty, gooey feta and sweet honey. It's one of those dishes you think about after you leave. For drinks, I had the Wild Blueberry Lemon Drop - very refreshing and definitely on the stronger side (it is a martini, so no complaints). We also tried the watermelon margarita - pro tip: ask for it with tajin, it makes a huge difference. For entrées, we got the lunch grilled cheese and tomato soup, which was exactly what you'd hope for - comforting and classic. We added candied bacon to the grilled cheese and didn't regret it at all. We also had the quarter pound burger, which tasted fresh and really hit the spot. The fries were perfect - crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. And yes - I loved the hot honey feta dip so much that I actually ordered it as my entrée too, no regrets at all. The staff was welcoming and helpful, and the overall vibe inside is very chill and lowkey. We sat outside by the fireplace, and even with the weather warming up, it was surprisingly comfortable with the fans going. Definitely recommend - whether you're dining in or ordering out, you can't go wrong here!
