Brownie batter blizzard mini, so good!
    Aarti B.

Love the blizzards! So glad to see the new Mini size on the menu, which is the perfect decadent 6 oz sweet treat! It can be overwhelming to choose from so many chocolatey flavors - Brownie blizzard, Brownie Batter, Chocolate Extreme...what's the difference? Some of the special monthly flavors like the Hot Cocoa Oreo is simply vanilla and chocolate soft serve twist blended with Oreos, nothing really special. The Brownie Batter blizzard with brownie bites and brownie dough was heavenly. I wish I hadn't opted to add the Cookie Dough bites for $1 extra, which tasted stale and ended up picking them out. Service was great as the Indian lady patiently made this request. The classic Oreo blizzard is fine but nothing particularly memorable and definitely prefer the Brownie Batter blizzard! Will be returning and may venture to a new Royal blizzard with a rich fudge filling or try a chocolate dipped cone!

Not an overall bad experience however the ice cream used for my Oreo Blizzard tasted unlike the traditional Dairy Queen blend that I am used to and more like McDonald's ice cream. There was not creamy element to this Blizzard and my wife and I recognized this taste almost immediately and accurately. I'd also like to see the staff turn the Blizzard completely upside down, topsy-turvy, which is supposed to be the customary procedure for serving Blizzards to customers. Could have been an off day however I'll give them another try if I am in the area.

    Looks like an Oreo cookie

Pretty disappointing ice cream sandwiches. Not only are the cooparts smaller but there is hardly any ice cream in.

2/2/20 The woman working today was pleasant and greeted each person who entered the shop, but she had a habit of hiding in the back of the shop till someone entered the place. Maybe 30 seconds would go by before she showed up to take an order. Not the best way to run a business, but it is Dairy Queen after all. Aside from this, the place was okay. They might make the bathrooms unisex.

Buyer Beware....I ordered a 10 inch Oreo blizzard cake, not the large one. It cost $50!!! Check the prices before you pay.

Simple, efficient method of serving, although tight and cashiers & servers could help at the confusing pay counter.

Had a blizzard - some DQs don't add chocolate syrup to their M&M blizzards - they did and they mixed it well.

If you're hesitant about it being gamey, don't be! It had a perfect balance of sweetness from the caramelized onions and a distinct, smoky flavor from being torched. For the main, I had the Pan Seared Wild Petrale Sole, which was beautifully cooked and fresh. My friend loved the chicken, and we ended the night sharing a delicious dessert. Bonus: Parking was a breeze--we found a spot on the street right in front of the restaurant. We will definitely be back!

We definitely went to the Dabney quite a bit when Sam was working there. But, as for Evelyn Rose - we couldn't be more thrilled. When the Bazins announced that they were selling their restaurant, I honesty couldn't think of better new owners, and they have just nailed it. Food: The food is excellent. Always well-seasoned with lots of choices for all different appetites and preferences. A few specific touches that I personally love - half portions of pasta, options on an a la carte menu as well as a tasting menu (every evening!) and the ability to often order courses a la carte off the tasting menu. Flexibility is the name of their game, and it is truly appreciated. Chef Nick really has a way with fish, and that's frequently what I order there, but honestly, I think only one time did I have a dish that I felt was sub-par (I had a meat dish that was slightly overcooked and a tad dry) but that's a few and far between occurrence. Last night I had the rockfish dish which was perfectly crisped, and the sauce and beans that accompanied it were just perfect. My husband had the gnocchi which was light and fluffy. Service: Sam, the co-owner and Sommelier, is really just amazing at hospitality. He is friendly, warm, and always looking to ensure you are having a great experience. He's put together a small, but well-curated wine list - nothing overly expensive, and wines that you'd 'expect' to see as well as hidden gems. He's always willing to offer advice on wine pairings - not just for the tasting menu but the a la carte menu, which is always appreciated by my husband and I. Aside from Sam, generally, the service is attentive most times we have dined there - most of the time, if the service is lagging a bit, it's usually because they are packed! Vibe: Evelyn Rose has a cozy, warm vibe. Lots of exposed wood and blue and gold tones throughout the restaurant. Do note that it can get loud, especially on weekends when they are packed. Other: We are very blessed to have such an excellent restaurant down the street. Don't take my word for it - we were at Albi just a few nights ago and when we mentioned to the bartender we live in Vienna, they said "oh, have you been to Evelyn Rose?" (seriously!) Coming from a bartender at a one-star Michelin restaurant...I'd say that's quite the compliment. Looking forward to many more dinners at Evelyn Rose!

She suggested Patsy's and I'm really glad she did. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed. The staff was welcoming, friendly, and clearly on top of everything, which immediately set the tone for a great experience. The food was excellent definitely top-notch, though a bit on the pricey side but worth it overall. What really stood out, though, was a young man named Henry, who was working as a food runner. As someone who's naturally outgoing, I struck up a conversation with him, and he left a lasting impression. For just 18, he carried himself with confidence, warmth, and professionalism.
