I have been visiting Sweetleaf ever since it opened when I was in middle school. I, now a junior in college, still look forward to my visits when I'm back home for breaks. They are always adding new things to the menu and the seasonal specials are always exciting and delicious. On my most recent visit, I tried the turkey and apple sandwich, which was, in my opinion, absolutely to die for. I'm such a huge "fruit-on-sandwiches" kind of gal, and the crisp apples on this sandwich were next level. This sandwich has everything you want: that crisp, juicy apple, layers of turkey, a creamy cheese, and the fresh crunch of greens on top. I can't recommend this sandwich enough. My boyfriend even wanted to cast aside his own order to finish the other half of my sandwich (not that I let him)! I can't recommend Sweetleaf enough. It is a perfect lunch date location with its quaint tables and decor inside, simple patio seating, delicious array of sandwiches, salads, and bowls, and the sweet treats for later. I don't recommend this place at all. Second consecutive time I visit this place for lunch, but end up walking out without ordering. Why? These guys are only interested in online or phone orders. First time trying this place and it was a great, healthy take-out option! Would probably give this place a 3.5, but rounding up due the positivity of their mission + their family deal during COVID. Ordered via UberEats and got a huge family meal - chose 5 entrees for $40. We got two Steak and Cheddars, a Koo Koo Roo, Kale Cob and Chimichurri. The Steak and Cheddars were really good, but one of them had a slightly off scent (that the other one didn't have?) that slightly concerned me. It tasted fine, but made me wonder if the meat/veggies were fresh. The Kale Cobb was ok, but it doesn't stand out amongst the other salad shops. The vinaigrette really tied things together, but ultimately didn't blow me away. The Chimichurri was pretty good and very filling. While the ingredients were fresh, the chimichurri sauce left some to be desired, as it was pretty mild, and had no strong flavors. The real star was the Koo Koo Roo, delicious! Glad to have found this place amongst a sea of unhealthy take-out options, especially since a lot of their ingredients are locally sourced. The family meal deal was worth the value, considering that each item comes to about $8 (not including tax, UberEats fees + tip), but I'm not sure if I'd pay $10-13 for each menu item. read more

It is very typical for them to mess up my orders , in fact there is a bigger percentage that they will get it wrong rather than right. They always swap ingredients, or forget them. Hubby and I went to Sweet Leaf with our Sunday lunch group last week. I was pleasantly surprised! I had not been thrilled at the selection mostly because I thought it was a salad only sort of place. I was thinking of it as a fast lunch place not a sit and chat with your friends kind of place. Turns out that depending on when you visit it can be either (& more). I was glad to see they had a selection of sandwich options, including a salmon sandwich hubby enjoyed. I selected a salad, the Santa Fe, which was filling and yummy! Unlike another salad spot this was not overwhelming nor did I feel pressure to upgrade. Sweet Leaf felt comfortable and everyone in our group was happy with their order, including a friend following a paleo diet plan. I got a salad but several of the sandwiches sounded pretty darn good. I was interested in their breakfast menu and think this might become one of spots I visit when near by for morning meetings. They also had a smoothie / shake menu, here is hoping I keep from looking too intently at that part of the menu... Nevertheless, this is a nice place to sit down with a friend. The frozen yogurt was a bit on the pricey side at just under 5 bucks. There's no choice of size or flavor since there's just one kind and one size, but they do give you a very plentiful amount and you get 3 toppings with it. There are muffins shaped like tiny loaves of bread. I tried the red velvet one ($1.25), which was tasty and not overly sweet. There was another one that caught my attention. Unfortunately, the employee had no idea what kind that other one was. Carrot cake? Gingerbread? He had no clue. Would've been nice if he was a bit more well informed. I tried Sweet Leaf for the first time today; I placed a rather large order for delivery (12+ people) and the order was supposed to be fulfilled through doordash. Well, doordash gets 0 starts for this one. The driver canceled the order. I was wondering where lunch was, and gave the restaurant a call. The manager called doordash and figured out what had happened, and then offered to re-make the entire order so it would be fresh and drove it over himself. I was really impressed with the service and their efforts to make it right. It was honestly really fast once I made the call, I only wish I called before the order had been sitting ready for 45 minutes! I sure hope doordash reimburses the company for having to make such a large order twice!
