The cashier was so nice, I did not want to turn away when it took too long for her to come from the back and take my order. I ordered a banana slit, but they had no peanuts, and the hot fudge was not hot. It came out in lumps. I then chose, what I thought was m&ms, but was not. The candies were so hard I hat to spit them out. The fudge was nasty so I raked it in a plastic bag I had in my car. The bananas were good, and the ice cream was o.k., but not banana split good.

We were super excited to hopefully try filipino flavors but they didn't seem to have anything at that time other than Ube, which was a bit disappointing. But we still found the flavors we got delicious! The Old School Vanilla Chip was significantly better than the Mint Chocolate Chip as that tasted like any other mint chip ice cream. I'd go back again, but hopefully when they have filipino flavors to try out.

Toby's is just as awesome in May 2026 as when I first visited in summer 2025! Another popular flavor was cinnamon. You can ask for a tiny sample of two flavors. The staff were professional with more brisk service (an improvement from summer 2025). Although it's a tiny space without seats, you can enjoy your ice cream in Adirondack style chairs outside in the plaza. Glad to see this business is thriving. Hopefully it will stick around for many years to come! Be sure to try their ube ice cream flavor!

The service was fine.  We were surprised that when some of the ice cream dropped from the sample spoon on to the floor by accident, and we asked for a napkin to clean it up, they told us not to worry about it.  I went and found a napkin anyway.  It was a little gross to have a blop of ice cream (even a small one) right in front of the counter where people would step on it.  They also didn't offer another sample knowing that that one never made it to anyone's mouth for a tasting....  Anyway, we opted to try two waffle cones with  a total of four scoops - malted milk chocolate and banana cookie dough, goey butter cake salted peanut butter and brown butter almond brittle.  Maybe it's a matter of too many different things in each type but we didn't really rave over any of them.  The location is clean with plenty of seating and a nice view of the flowered walk way out front.  However, being that it fell short of several other ice cream spots we have tried lately and that you have to pay for parking, I don't think we will be back.
