This DQ went above and beyond for my wife's birthday cake! Not only did the ice cream cake taste absolutely delicious but they made it better then I could have ever imagine, thank you for the perfect cake!

Jordan Palmer is the best worker there. He needs a promotion definitely he's been there way to long and has helped reshape the company.

I was also a big fan of the portobello veggie burger and BLT. However, things have changed and I have been to a few locations in the past 2 months. First, I am not sure what kind of oil they use for their fries - but the taste is off and you taste more oil than potato. Second, the portobello burger now has a brownish color cheese (versus a pale yellow) and was over fried. Third, their BLT sandwiches used to be on sourdough, but now on a bun and the bacon tasted off. Yesterday I got a key lime shake which was so-so and the veggie burger which cost $19 for 2 items! Also, they now use cold custard vs. hard ice cream for their shakes which makes a big difference in texture and flavor. Their shack burgers are still pretty good and they have the best lemonade, but their prices have also risen so I don't plan to go again. There are places like Seventh Street Burger where you can get an amazing burger for $6.50 and their fries are amazing. One more thing - don't get the Dubai chocolate shake - it costs $10 and the chocolate is supposed to slide/break off the sides of the cup into the drink but it doesn't.

Five Guys, Shake Shack, and a…read moreplethora of local businesses started jumping on the premium burger trend, leaving this pioneer-restaurant behind. My advice? Don't sleep on Smashburger. Somewhere around 2024-2025, they did a bit of introspection --- and have revamped much of their image: menu simplification, bolder brand identity, and ACTUAL value pricing on items. I remembering visiting Smashburger in the 2010's, and often my burgers and fries were drenched in grease. Not this time. Burgers are delicately assembled, and more or less look like the photo on their menus! In Paramus, I've only had positive interactions with the staff --- they have been helpful in ordering and recommending when I am indecisive. On top of that: don't sleep on their app! They have better "reward deals" than many other chain restaurants! I tried two items today: 1) Mexicali Big Dog ($7.99) - This is a "¼ pound 100% Angus beef hot dog, cheddar cheese sauce, grilled jalapeños, chopped bacon, crispy fried onions, fresh-sliced avocado, and Mexican crema on a butter-toasted Big Dog roll." IT SLAPS. All the flavors work together, and I traveled to work after picking it up --- 20 minutes later it still HIT. And oh my goodness that toasted roll, it just elevates the experience! 2) Double Jalapeno Crema Smash ($7.99) - If you're a fan of Tex-Mex and grilled jalapenos, this item is for you! The heat pairs well with the Crema in the burger, to offer you both a heat and cool effect. It is smoky, rich, and spicy in all the right ways! Definitely recommend --- and NOT SOGGY from any grease! (There is bacon in my photo --- I added that!) In any case --- Smashburger has made a wonderful comeback, and I wish more people knew about it!! Until then, I will be frequenting this location because it taste better (and is CHEAPER) than Shake Shack and Five Guys, and I will not take that back!

Surprisingly it wasn't super busy, so we got a booth right away. The interior was nice but appeared somewhat dated, one side with all the booths and tables on the other side. They had a bar section with some high chairs as well, but no one was there. I was pleasantly surprised to the menu was only 3 pages, not a whole booklet like some other diners. I ordered the New Yorker Omelette Feast that came with pastrami and corned beef wrapped around the egg, side of home fries and toasts. I liked the taste of this unique dish. Homefries were okay. The toast was good. My daughter got the mickey pancake which was pretty good as well. Our server did a decent job. Staff members were friendly all around. The check needs to be paid at the reception register and there's a 3% surcharge for using credit card. Overall we had a nice family brunch experience and I was relieved to finally dine at Tom Sawyer.

But overall a good spot for brunch.

And McDonald's heard America's pleading loud and clear by bringing back the fried apple pie. Unfortunately only for a limited time. The last time McDonald's served this delicious little gem nation wide was way back in 1992. Back when Bill Clinton and OJ Simpson were America's preeminent fun lovin' guys! The fried apple pie has a great crispy crust with delicious hot apple filling that, surprisingly, isn't cloyingly sweet. This is a 5 star dessert for a 5 star country. So go out and celebrate just like our forefathers did 250 years ago by visiting your local McD's and ordering a fried apple pie and a Coke Zero or two to wash it down. Maybe add a side of fries and a BigMac. How's that for freedom of choice?

The cheeseburger buns are always rock hard, the fries taste like they were cooked hours--or even days--earlier, and the wait for food is ridiculously long. This was the last chance I was willing to give this location, and it will be my last visit. The quality of the food is terrible, and the service isn't any better. I'll gladly drive a little farther to the other McDonald's, where the food is fresh and the service is much better.

I have made this same order several times a year for a good 7 years. Should have cost about $15-$16. Pulled up gave my credit card didn't get a receipt but was handed a bulkier bag than usual but placed it on the drivers seat. Opened it up to eat a bit later to see a big box of mostly white meat chicken, a large side and several biscuits. Not a 3 piece dark meat meal!! I checked my credit card online and I was billed over $39. Yes, the bag seemed excessive, given my order but I was exhausted. My kitchen fridge is on the fritz, so I only have a small filled up temporary fridge right now, so all this chicken is going to waste sitting in my car about 40 miles from this Popeyes location. Tried calling the phone number to complain several times and no answer. I will be disputing this charge just a warning: check what they hand you BEFORE you drive away. I find no fault with the late night food access, but am angry about the wasted food and the mix up. I stated my order TWICE. I just got queried about ordering extra (pie), which I declined. Not ok.

It's a small space with just a few tables. Since we didn't live in the area we opted to sit and eat. While we waited several people came into get takeout or pickup. There was just the chef and the server. Both were nice and helpful. We ordered the Korean BBQ Ribs and the Southern Ribs. Hubby liked the Korean and I preferred the Southern. But both were good, I just found the Southern saucier and more tender. The NYC XXX Bacon was amazing!!! Love love love so juicy and tender with a touch of spicy. Korean Slaw was another fav that we ordered an extra to take home. Collard Greens were not bad, a little spicy. Cornbread was way too dry... hubby was fine with it. We enjoyed our meal very much. However, the owner was heading out for an errand, and offered to buy doughnuts ad-hoc if I still wanted the chonut and I took him up on it! What service. Chonut: he got a Paris Baguette maple donut, which was a good level of sweetness. It wasn't warmed up at all and the bottom donut got really soggy, so I wonder how it would compare to their normal donut. I loved the combination of sweetness and savory - I'd get this again to see what a full potential donut sandwich could look like. Cholander Fries: we ordered this while waiting, and a solid appetizer with lots of flavors. We got the BBQ Sampler box, and they allowed us to replace the 2 ribs with pork belly instead. The pork belly was the standout - it's both very crispy and fatty. They also gave us a gochujang glaze sauce because they said it paired well with the pork belly, and it did! The brisket was good too and certainly benefited from the sauces available, as well as the pork shoulder. I thought the Mac and cheese was standard but the kimchi slaw wasn't refreshing although interesting.
