The lacing and charred edges were delicious and the crunch of the onion ring validated the choice. Excellent smash burger. So too were my wings! Delicious and crispy. Zero complaints. I was also a big fan of the portobello veggie burger and BLT. However, things have changed and I have been to a few locations in the past 2 months. First, I am not sure what kind of oil they use for their fries - but the taste is off and you taste more oil than potato. Second, the portobello burger now has a brownish color cheese (versus a pale yellow) and was over fried. Third, their BLT sandwiches used to be on sourdough, but now on a bun and the bacon tasted off. Yesterday I got a key lime shake which was so-so and the veggie burger which cost $19 for 2 items! Also, they now use cold custard vs. hard ice cream for their shakes which makes a big difference in texture and flavor. Their shack burgers are still pretty good and they have the best lemonade, but their prices have also risen so I don't plan to go again. There are places like Seventh Street Burger where you can get an amazing burger for $6.50 and their fries are amazing. One more thing - don't get the Dubai chocolate shake - it costs $10 and the chocolate is supposed to slide/break off the sides of the cup into the drink but it doesn't.

Place was bustling on a weekday afternoon. Most pick up experiences are pretty mundane and not memorable, you get your food and go. However, the staff who serviced my order was so gracious that I was honestly taken aback - I had never been treated so special for such a quick interaction with just a few kind words. All this to say that the smallest moments do make a big difference in the food space and because of this staff, Fluffies has earned my deep loyalty. But now I find myself gravitating to Qdoba for a variety of reasons. Flores guac and queso on your entrees as opposed to Chipotle's overpriced options. Qdoba and Moe's offer a large variety of options and toppings, but I feel the quality and care Qdoba puts into their food is superior. I have yet to have a bad Qdoba experience and it is always an affordable and delectable option whenever I crave a fast casual Spanish meal. The service is always kind and patient as well.
