This place should be called Tinkles because both the ice cream and service are piss poor. My last three visits were disasters. Twice, the clueless girls behind the counter served me what can be best described as a poop emoji on a cone. On my last and final visit I was served ice cream that had the consistency of sawdust...a sign of a poorly calibrated machine or melting. Blech. My recommendation: sell your store to someone who gives a hoot about quality service and products. You clearly have no idea what you're doing. read more

Really cute ice cream shop in town. Was recently renovated to give the shop a refreshed look. Stopped by today to grab some ice cream back from my walk around town. They offer a lot of flavors and toppings for your every desire. Giving it 3 stars for 2 reasons, the price and the amount they serve. The prices are a bit high for ice cream when there are other favorites surrounding the area offering reasonable prices for homemade scoops. The second reason is the amount they serve you for the prices they charge. When I visited I ordered a medium dole whip in a cup, as I started to eat it I realized that the center was hollow as they didn't pump enough into the cup. My husband ordered a medium dipped cone and the same thing happened, the cone also wasn't properly dipped in chocolate. For the price, I'd rather drive to Van dykes or Ben & Jerry's for an overpriced cone but If you're in a pinch I guess this will do. read more

I visited Sprinkles Icecream shop recently for the first time and the last. I was greeted by a lovely young lady who took my order and my children's orders. I specifically informed the young lady I did NOT want the other party I was with to pay, in case they would try to. Suddenly, I saw the owner asking the young lady what I had ordered to add to the other party's card. His young employee communicated that I requested I did NOT want anyone to pay for my children and me, for which I had good reason. The owner ignored my repeated requests not to allow anyone to pay for our order. I stated, "I'm a paying customer." His response was, "No, you're not!" I could not believe he would refuse to comply with my request when I was so clear and adamant. The teenager who served me had better business sense and social skills. I then placed the ice creams on the counter and left the establishment with my children. As we left, he shouted, "Good, leave; I do not want you here!" I cannot believe a grown man would treat a customer this way, especially a female customer with children. No means No! All he had to do was allow me to pay as requested. after 20 years in neighboorhood wont be back. About 6 weeks ago (may 2022) in torrential rain we stopped off to get something to eat after a graduation down near philadelphia instead of dinner as we had a long ride and a late lunch and were exhausted . Bought 2 large ice creams and asked for a kids size as well for my 90 yo mother who is ill and weighs about 85 lbs ...she actually didnt want anything but wanted to get her something to end the celebratory day with us . The girl working the counter would not sell it no me .."they have to come in the store". explained it was pouring and mother was in the carand in fact is ill, but she said it was the store policy. We(myself or my kids) have been going here about 5-10 x/year for last 2 decades..wont be anymore. Not about the money (what was the difference ..2$?) but the point. 6 weeks later the icecream still sitting in my freezer as she had about 2 bites. Gave 2 stars only because of pleasant service in the past and respect to first responders (which was always reciprocated in a large tip) read more

This place frustrates me. It's a cute, corner shop in a sweet, sleepy town. There's potential here (with some minimal decorating effort and a bottle of Windex) to make this place as sweet as the ice cream it sells. Unfortunately, they're surviving by regulars with few other options in town, no other reason than that. The floors are nothing short of gross, cracked and filthy. Tables (there are only 2) are sticky to say the least, and the walls could stand for a fresh coat of pastel paint and polish. The ice cream is ok, nothing great. I don't see any toppings although I'm sure they're available. What really turned me off tonight more than the ick factor of the atmosphere was the girl giving me my ice cream -- she put her bare hands on the cone. She absolutely should have used a paper cover or napkin when handing me my treat. Not so sweet. (That rhymes...) *sigh* Next time will fight the Bergen county crowds over at Van Dykes..at least their ice cream is homemade. Still, another dump as far as atmosphere goes. Sprinkles has been a go-to ice cream spot for years. Probably because it's convenient and close to the residents. It's small and has only 2 tables and a bench. So don't expect to sit during busy season. It doesn't look spic and span compared to other, more commercial places but it's decent. As far as the ice cream goes, it's ok. It's definitely not home-made. Which is a bit of a let down. I really love when a shop makes their own. The soft serve is good especially when you get it dipped in chocolate or cherry. They have a good variety of toppings too. Pretty much if you just have an ice cream craving you'll be satisfied. If you're an ice cream connoisseur, chose another place. read more

When my sister mentioned she was given the wrong topping the employee said"I know, that's why I'm scraping it off" seriously? You start over with a fresh bowl of ice cream. That is food safety 101. My nephew dropped his spoon on the floor and when he looked sad the employee said "just get a new one". The girls working were uninterested in us and we felt like we were bothering them by being there. Ice cream should be a fun experience. If you want to feel unappreciated, be treated disrespectfully all while being a dirty, dingy environment then this is your place. Unfortunately it's the only place in town. I have visited Sprinkles a handful of times before, but I felt that my experience tonight was something I had to share. The establishment, both inside and outside, was absolutely infested with gnats. I'm not normally squeamish about bugs, and I know it's summertime, but I have never seen so many in one place. There were so many a couple ended up in the car with my mom and I on our way home. This is especially disappointing considering this is a place that serves food products. In addition, we felt both of our ice cream portions were very small and unworthy of the $9 price. My experience tonight alone was worthy of 1 star, but I gave it two because my other few visits were positive. I have never had an issue before with their products, but sadly I couldn't ignore the innumerable amount of bugs we saw. I really hope this is a problem they fix quickly because I enjoy their ice cream, but I will not be returning until the situation has been taken care of. read more
