It was uncomfortable to watch, and it clearly affected the morale of the staff. Good management is about leadership, respect, and fostering a positive environment -- especially in the fast-paced world of food service. Unfortunately, that's not what I saw here. I hope the company takes a closer look at how its managers are treating staff, because a toxic work culture not only hurts employees but also impacts the customer experience. Simply the worst! Service was a disorganized disaster! Staff was more interested in sweeping and mopping behind their counter than waiting on customers or filling order. The staff has no clue regarding the need for washing hands as the girl who finally started filling our ice cream order tried to go from mopping to making orders without washing her hands. Simply disgusting! When confronted she had no clue about hygiene stands. As far as food, the burger was nothing to write home about as the meat looked like it was steamed, not fried on the grill. They also make liberal use of the microwave to get the food hot. As far as ambiance, there is none. Don't go here, it is an absolute waste of money. This was the worst DQ experience I have ever had (and I used to work at one). We went through the drive through, we ordered fast enough. We got our blizzards at the window and then were told to drive to the holding area for the rest of our food. After waiting for a while, I finally went inside to check on our order. Three employees looked at me while one stumbled around in the kitchen. About five minutes later they finally passed one of our chicken strip baskets to the crew up front. It looked like they forgot to make the second basket. When I finally got the chicken strip baskets, they handed me the burger and fries curds that had been sitting under the warmer for 10 minutes. I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I love DQ, but I am so done with this location. I have only been 3 times in the last 3 years because it is always a bad experience. But I just kept thinking that maybe, with employee turn-over, this time will be different. I was wrong. Expect your wait time to be at least 30 minutes, no matter what time of year or what time of day. The teenagers that work here are consistently rude and need better training. Unfortunately, I go here expecting this. But what did it for me this time is that the ice cream tasted off, like the weird non-dairy stuff you get at other fast food places. Why should I go back when Burgerville is directly across the street with real ice cream and friendly employees? I will be saving my DQ stops for Vancouver. Great service and a clean DQ location off the highway! Just when you think you can make it all the way to Portland without a restroom break on the drive from Seattle, this exit comes along with the promise of a DQ Blizzard and you find yourself following the signs towards your frozen paradise. It is a little bit of a drive from the exit but it is close to the next onramp for when you need to hop back on I-5. The restaurant is clean and the high school students working here are friendly and helpful. You can tell this DQ supports local high schools as their are lit school signs with mascots up on the wall inside. I thought that was pretty neat. Food and desserts came out within a 5 minute window and everything was great. I love the new limited edition blizzard options! read more

Luckily, I'm fully trained in taking Bambi steps on what I sense to be freshly mopped floors. Otherwise, standard DQ decor and food. Nothing better or worse than any other DQ. Service was on the slow side for as many employees as there were and seeing as there were no cars in the drive thru. Went to Dairy Queen tonight to get my husband and I each an ice cream cone to immediately be greeted by staff at the start of the drive thru line that they weren't excepting anymore customers. It was 9:54pm. I know I was cutting it close but didn't expect at all to be refused service. My family loves Dairy Queen for the occasional treat. I called and asked why they were closing early, it was clear they all probably wanted to go home which I get because after all it is a Saturday night. But if I owned that restaurant I would have been so disappointed in my manager. Not to mention the manager hung up on me. I saw a few others after me be refused service as well. I'm sure they also felt the disappointment I did when you are so very badly craving that delicious cone. I guess I'll have to rely on Ben and Jerry's as my new occasional great. I took my granddaughter here for a chicken strip lunch special. it was cold No I told the person at the window they didn't seem to care. So I called and spoke to the manager which was supposed to write down in some red book next time I came in I would get a free chicken strip one special. So I went back about three weeks later. And let the people now and they looked in the Redbook and I guess the lady didn't write it down they must assume that everybody knows they have a red book. Well the manager on duty which I'm pretty sure it was the same one that worked for that same day that said she was going to do that. Said she knew nothing about it and would not take care of me. I asked for the other managers phone number or the owners phone number nobody will give you it their phone number. So I guess I'm reaching out on yelp. Went to the drive thru today got almost 40 bucks worth of food and the last time we went there the guy didn't tip the blizzards therefore we got the next ones free, said just come to the drive thru and tell them and they'll give them to you, didn't take our name, nothing. Mind you this was about two weeks ago, so the manager asked who it was, we said a guy, she asked if he took your name, nope. Asked if we had receipt, no he didn't say we needed any of this.
