Geez.. I just love the Daiso at this location so much. They space out the aisle really well and it's spacious with great number of items. I love the dinnerware section, in fact I got a lot of our plates from here as Japanese quality is just great even for a "dollar store" like Daiso. Not only for the dinnerware but I dare say that most of their items are above average from the standard dollar stores in the US. I also love their snack and drink section but at times I've found that Uwajimaya or other asian grocery stores might sell them cheaper when they're on sale. Their stationery also have cute pens, notebooks, stickers etc. The staff are always friendly and working hard. Plenty of parking at the parking lot. read more

I go to the Bellevue store for their products....definitely not for their customer service. Employees were rude and not very helpful. My teenage son was looking at a plastic sword, and an employee nearby barked at him not to open the plastic wrapping. Geez, he was just looking at it. I understand that you can not open the plastic wrapping; there are signs posted everywhere, but please don't assume the customer is going to open it, or at least, kindly remind them. read more

With the holidays here we needed some inexpensive gift packaging for the gifts that we were giving out to my daughter's teachers and son's therapists. Last year, I got stuck going to Target and spent $5 per recipient for a gift box to hold gifts and am sure it was recycled as soon as it was received. I was surprised to see these really nice wooden crates which we received so many complements on for $1.50. They also had these great terracotta pots for $1.50 as well which were perfect for putting little plants in and made them look so nice and much more expensive than they were. The only negative is when you clear their inventory out it is gone (we needed a few more of the crats/pots) and despite checking back they never got the items back in again. read more

Daiso, please come to the East coast! Seriously the best value store for random knick knacks, and things you never knew you needed. Everything is $1.50 unless other wise marked, and OR license holders can shop tax free I love coming here for house hold stuff, and if I wasn't scared everything would break in transit, all of my dishes would be from Daiso. They have a wide range of Japanese bento supplies, stationary and home/kitchen items. I always stock up on disposable tea bags, laundry bags, and cotton pads. read more

Two out of three stars. -5 stars because I was asked to leave when my Baby was crying and "[it] was bothering people". When I was trying to pack up and leave I spilled some milk (I know right) so I bought a hand towel to clean it up. While waiting in line the same gentleman who asked me to leave rather sternly told my child "no more crying" (while waving his finger no). It wasn't kind, it wasn't with understanding, it was rather unkind. It was really affronting and something I can't believe actually happened nowadays. My suggestion: If you want to run a store where customers are needed treat them better. +2 stars - a really nice associate helped me clean up the milk and was surprised when I told her that I was asked to leave. I've been to the store before a few times. Unfortunately I won't be coming back for some time if ever. read more

Nice store but could used better training for cashiers. I went in today to get some ceramic bowls and ceramic spoons, and some snacks. At the check out, the cashier was trying to scan one of my snacks and I noticed just then that the bag of a bun has ripped open and yet he still was trying to scan it and when a ripped bag of bun shouldn't be sold to customers!! As he's done scanning, he asked if I want my ceramic bowls wrapped? Anyone who is trained or have any common sense at all should know anything breakable should be wrapped. When he was done wrapping the bowls, he proceeded to just push the ceramic spoons to me, I had to, again, asked him to wrap them. As I understand that, the stuff I'm buying are not expensive but I do expect to at least be able to take them home without the possibility of them breaking even before using them! read more

If you love Japanese stuff then this is a must visit. Basically, it's the Japanese version of a Dollar store with prices to match. Lot of fun little knick knacks and snacks to buy. My kids invariably get the Hi-Chews (are those really Japanese?). Us adults go for the more overtly Asian snack items like roasted chestnuts and shrimp chips. I also found some handy dandy hooks with sticky backs that I could install for my hand towels. No need to pound a nail into the wall. read more

The best Daiso location I went to so far! This Daiso is very spacious & there are so much different products to choose from! I had so much fun in there. The music added a nice experience. The store was kept neat. I didn't see anything where it shouldn't be or anything on the floor. When the checkout lines get long, other cashiers are called to the front to help ring people up. I believe this is the biggest Daiso in Seattle Area unless you are willing to cross the border to hit Richmond BC store. The entire store is very bright, clean and super spacious. I can walk so freely down to each aisle with my cart. The products are similar to other Daiso and everyone is still very busy organizing the inventory and adding more mini shelves in every corners. Be patient and I can see this store has huge potentials. Believe it or not, I love visiting Daiso so much I hit at least 4 stores each trip in Japan! Tip: They have most household or kitchen items there you can find in Uwajimaya except appliances. However, the quality is lower which is reflected on the price. Who cares if you just start out Asian cooking? For ladies, I highly recommend fake eyelashes and Q-tip. For kids, I recommend stationery or office supplies. Daiso always has cute paper products, folders, stickers and pens, etc For family, check out their trays, box, or any organization solutions. There are tons of various size (not super big as this is for Asian lifestyle) of everything to help organize your home without paying the hefty price at `the Container Store' or `Storables'. read more

I first experienced this store in Japan years ago and was thrilled to find stores in our area. This location is great! My favorite things to buy here are unbleached coffee filters and melamine sponges. The sponges are such an awesome deal - "Magic Eraser" sponges are stupid expensive, and I've tried other store brand versions with little success. Daiso's are perfect, and they come in all kinds of sizes. They have some fun, cheapo toys for kids, too, and really fun office supplies. And who doesn't love Japanese snacks and candies?!?! Daiso Japan is a franchise. I've been to multiple locations and this one is easily one of my favorites! The interior layout has a nice Japanese theme to it (which it should) and is VERY organized and clean. Some things you could pretty much get anywhere but most of the items are a 1.50$ so you get great deals here! There's a little something for everyone and the inventory changes all the time as well as different items per location. I came here hunting for some unique items for a car theme I'm doing and ended up grabbing a great hand fan to add to the growing amount of items for that theme. They have some decent snacks here and personally they have awesome deals on chopsticks. The bowls here have great designs but are plastic. I would rather go to uwajimaya or H mart and get some quality bowls for more money. I'll return and always be on the hunt for new stuff. read more

Finally there's one in the Eastside. Dasio is like the Asian version of the bargain/kind of dollar store. This store is bigger than the one in Southcenter, but smaller than the one in Richmond BC. You can buy cheap containers, snacks, scarfs, extremely cute stationary, pet toys, gift wrap, kitchen items, car accessories, travel essentials, and moreee. Everything in the store cost $1.50 (plus sales tax, of course) unless otherwise marked. The only thing to note is that they do not accept returns. The cashier told me that the "no return policy" is practiced in Asian countries... like I would know, I've never been to Asia, but I took her word. Haha, that's a great policy to have btw, it makes you really think if you need it. Before buying said items make sure that the item is not broken. They also a minimum purchase with credit/debit cards ($5 or $10, I don't remember). And I think they do not accept american express and discover.....???? This place just recently opened up here in Bellevue and i've been inside a few times. I absolutely love Japanese shops because of their unique items that they carry which are hard to find here in the states. Diaso is a nice touch to this community. The location use to be where a furniture store was so the inside is a decent size. It is located on the outside next to Joann fabrics. You can find a parking spot pretty easily. During the holiday seasons, this store does get packed but during off season, its not as crowded. The store is very bright and clean, just like Japanese culture. They want things to be tidy and neat, not cluttered and chaotic. Whenever i go in, i will on occasion see a worker cleaning up after a child has made a mess. I like that. The prices here are very low! Nothing is over priced but remember the rule, if its cheap, its also made cheap so don't expect something to last forever. The quality is decent, especially with the kitchen stuff. I've bought bowls, cups, a yoga mat, a few pet items (pretty cheap tho) and some socks here. i absolutely loved the socks and a few small storage bins! This isn't a store where you go into it expecting to find what you're looking for. This is a discount store. So the things in stock are limited. There has been several trips ive made hoping to find something and they don't even carry anything close to it! So don't get your hopes up! This is a store where if you've been shopping around the area, you go in for a quick peak to see if there is anything you need. Overall, i like this store, its location and its prices. but i really wish they would carry more things im interested in. I was making several returns on the area, and when I rounded the corner into the Crossroads Mall area, it was like the heavens opened up, and a beaming shining light guided us towards this Daiso. Alright. I might be exaggerating. But you know what? Maybe not. This Daiso is my favorite one in all of Seattle-land area. And yes. I have actually gone to every single one. Southcenter Mall, ID, Westlake Center, Alderwood Mall, Federal Way and Richmond aka The Mecca. If you have never been to a Daiso before - it's essentially a high-end dollar store. Everything is $1.50, unless otherwise marked, and an excellent deal. All sales are final though - which is the rub. You can get a Tangine for $12! You can get a tape dispenser for $1.50! And a lot of other stationary, office supplies, trinkets, etc. That are either adorable or practical. Or both! This location is brand new, clean, and brightly lit. Unlike the Southcenter and ID locations, they don't have boxes and boxes of merchandise all over the floor, which I sincerely appreciate. The aisles are shorter and wider, which allows for more maneuverability when you're navigating a crowded store. There were 4 cashiers on duty at the time (more than I have ever seen anywhere, well excluding Richmond). The line moved quickly enough and the cashiers were courteous enough. And while I wish their ceramics/dishes area was better stocked - this is an excellent location, and I will absolutely be back. Another note is that this location has a $10 minimum for credit cards, unlike the Southcenter location. read more

Daiso is one reason I will fly several hours to get to Seattle/Bellevue or even to Japan. No joke. My first experience in Daiso was a few years ago in Harijuku, which forever changed the way I look at dollar (or 100 Yen) stores, especially in Japan. This place is like any other Daiso in Japan, a bit on the smaller side, but with everything you never thought you wanted. There's household goods, kitchen things, bowls, button down shirts, makeup applicators, food, candy, and other crazy things. This is a must do if you are visiting the state of Washington! This is my favoritest Daiso location in the whole US of A. And I used to go to the really, really big one located in the parking lot of Serramanila Center in Daly City all the time. This one is special. It's kind of hard to find, because you have to go around the back of the shopping center, which it doesn't show on Google Maps. But it's probably the sunniest, most brightly-lit one with the nicest store displays ever. You can actually walk around the aisles with a shopping cart without knocking over whole shelf structures or other people, unlike just about every other Seattle location. Never ever dismiss Daiso as the "Japanese Dollar Store." I avoid the actual Dollar Stores like the depressing, soul-crushing plague that they are. Daisos are kind of kitschy-cool and cute, with stuff that is sometimes borderline junky, but that's why it's cheap. Calling it a Dollar Store is like implying Trader Joe's has food. Yeah. That's not the point. Oh, and read all their policies and inspect all your merchandise before purchase. Because THEY DON'T GIVE REFUNDS. And yes, some of the cashiers DO NOT TAKE CASH. Sheesh. Cool knick knacks for a low price. I prefer this place over the Dollar Tree. The Japanese always have cute things and find ways to make things compact and cool. If you get hungry while you shop, they have some Japanese food and drinks for sale. If you haven't been to his Daiso, be sure to make a trip here. Famous Japanese "100 yen - Dollar store". I've visited South center mall Daiso and Seattle downtown(China town) Daiso right before stoping by this Bellevue store. Among these 3 locations, Bellevue Daiso carries the most items. In fact, it seems you can find almost all items in the other 2 locations in Bellevue store. The other larger size Daiso is at Westlake center. Coming from north, Lynwood Daiso is the closest. I absolutely love this store. A discount Japanese store! This store is absolutely enormous and I swear they carry every single thing you can imagine from toiletries to garden equipment, cleaning equipment, stationery and food and all of the items are so cute. I have purchased many items here not limited to writing sets, plastic protective covers for binders, plastic document holders, tape, hooks for the bathroom and for the wall, dustpan and brush, air freshener and I am sure there is more but I can't recall at this time! The majority of the items in the store at $1.50 by there are some items at a dollar and some which are more expensive but still only at a couple of bucks more. It is card only for payment, debit card here is no price limit but it is a $10 lower limit for spending on credit card. read more

It is a great store and everything is well there except the manager is a liar. He looked at my face and lied about my card getting rejected. I called the bank they told me that there is no request coming. I know their computers were working because my friends worked. I understand that they don't have a clue about customer service but lying to customers by a manager is not appropriate. I am sure that manager will be gone eventually and mean while daiso will keep offering low end goods at cheap prices. This place has the cutest office supplies, hair accessories, and kitchenware. Of course the quality is going to be cheap...you paid under $3.00 for it...but if you need something quick, temporary, or won't be under a lot of wear and tear, just buy it here. Everything in the store is $1.50 unless marked otherwise. It's cool if you can find something though. There was a lot of random stuff with cute animal prints on it, including sponges you'd use to wash your dishes and tub. It just didn't seem very practical items for me to get, since the quality of most of the items isn't the best. Even though it's cheap, I want stuff I buy to last longer than a week. Also, I was surprised that there was not much stationary, which is what I was really hoping for when I was here. But maybe since the place was a mess, it was hard to find. The entrance is outside of the Crossroads Mall, so you can park right in front of the store. read more

This Daiso location is actually a lot larger than the other ones I have been to in Seattle. I love their cute stationary and browsing their adorable bowls and cups. After arriving, it was somewhat difficult to find their shop on google maps though. I wasn't sure whether it was inside the mall, or on the outside. I went here hoping to buy what I got from the smaller Daiso store and it turns out they didn't carry it. Like the new store, but they clearly do not have a handle on marketing whatsoever! I have to give them credit about asking each person how they heard of their Grand Opening though. Each person was given a raffle. In order to see if you won, you need to go back to the store to see if your name is posted. Have they heard of posting winners on FB or putting it on their website? When asked if they would do that, they said no. They really lost a huge opportunity to get their phone number, website and fb information out there, but it's too bad they won't. read more
