Daiso is the discounted store for daily living with Japanese designs . Not everything is made by Japan but you can find a lot of great ones are made in Japan . We like to come here for their cute designs ( either something useful like cookware or just for fun , like cute erasers and stickers ) . Daiso has a number of great storage bins, and lots of great small to medium sized organization items. Highly recommend checking them out. I was able to reclaim a lot of closet space once I started using their front loading bins. They cost about $10 each but are very handy to expand storage space. Daiso is in the same shopping center as Savers thrift shop. While doing spring cleaning/ decluttering, I'd stop by savers with a car load of decluttering items to donate. Then pick up a bunch of storage bins at Daiso. Great combo! Service at Daiso is good as well, all the staff I worked with were very helpful and kind. read more

I love Daiso! Everything here is incredibly cheap - it's not $1 cheap but you can get decent items like kitchenware and hair accessories or cute little Hello Kitty and Sanrio themed items for $2-$5. The materials aren't the best but if you need something simple and don't want to pay big bucks for it, here is the place to go!! I love the kitchen section they literally have everything you need. I get little bowls here and dipping bowls where you only pay like $2 for each!! Sometimes if you're lucky you go when they have a larger variety of cute Sanrio themed items. Daiso reminds me of a fun Japanese Dollar Store. I always try to stop in whenever I'm near one of these stores and was delighted that one opened in Dublin a few years ago. They carry unique items as well as seasonal products. They have dishes, kitchen gadgets, stationery, yarn, sandals, gardening supplies, pet items, snacks, drinks and so much more. Everything is organized and displayed beautifully! I love these long-necked squeegee bottles for watering plants (photo below). Prices have gone up but everything is still very affordable. Huge Daiso in Dublin! I love it. My sister and I spent a lot of time here browsing and I bought a bunch of random stuff. I go here for random Knick knacks. I bought a small clear box to hold my soap dispenser and other small items on the sink counter. I also bought some cute cable protectors, beige colored pantyhose, folding fans, and a small handheld mirror. I love their crafting supplies section too. I never know what I find useful for my projects! I am also a fan of their knee high socks and black tights. I buy a lot of hosiery for costuming purposes. I love Daiso. While you might see some items with questionable usefulness or durability, you could encounter a lot of great finds here as well. For example I buy my nail clippers only from Daiso - they have the most durable and strongest nail clippers in the world. I also got a bunch of other stuff from Daiso today - a file organizer, chair socks to prevent scratches on my wooden floor, etc. Moreover, you might find some super cute stuffed animals for your kids. When it comes to packaged food from Asia, I only eat made in Korea or Japan. Came to this store on the Fourth of July day. My wife and I bought whole bunch of stuff, including a bag of takoyaki balls (it's similar to cheese balls.) It also shows Japanese writing on the back, so I thought it was made in Japan. When I got home and looked in the back, it says product by Thailand. Rather disappointed, that Daiso is misleading their products. Look at the attached pictures. I've been coming to this Daiso for some time now. This location in Dublin is not as big as the Union City one but if you need some basic items, they do have it. Weekends are probably the worse days to go in - long lines and the shelves are sometimes empty. Keep in mind, not everything is $1.50. The items that are not $1.50 they will put an additional price tag in yen (Japanese currency). You can find beauty products, kitchen items, gardening, household and cleaning supplies, snacks and food, seasonal items, etc. No returns and all items are final sale. Dublin's Daiso has been open since September 2018. Location is next to Fitness 19 and a few doors down from 99 Ranch in Dublin. Its like a Japanese hybrid between Target and Dollar Tree or 99-cent Store. The Dublin store is pretty small by Daiso standards. I've been to really big ones in Vancouver BC and in San Francisco Japantown. They seem to have a pretty good selection of items, with many of them $1.50 each: * Plastic food storage containers * Lots of kitchenware and bowls * Stationery * Japanese snacks in the form of chips, crackers, and a few baked goods. read more

"Hey what are you doing with that duster?" As I walked the aisles of this new store, I couldn't help but notice a bunch of the employees having dusters in their hands. They actually go around dusting the shelves! And that aspect is what sets the store apart from other dollar stores. It's far cleaner, far brighter than similar stores. On the other hand it's $1.50 not $1. Some of the items are similar to Dollar stores, and others are from Japan. For example, there are many treats and pastries that apparently are made in Japan. I purchased a few pastries and we're going to have them tonight! I talked to several staff members, and they were very helpful and courteous. Probably you could find some of the items cheaper, as others have noted. But I think paying a little bit more is worth it, if you get a bright, clean store. read more

I think of it as a "Japanese Dollar Store" but inflation made them raise the typical price to $1.50 unless noted otherwise. I might also add that the quality of the merchandise is better than most U.S. Dollar stores. It's filled with tons of merchandise - all made in Japan but it's pretty decent quality. They have housewares, kitchenware, bags, candy, toys, sports things, personal care and beauty aids, small hardware items, some clothing, some small electronic items, including small button cell batteries, etc. Just go see it and it's fun to try to guess how some of the things are used since most of the descriptions are all in Japanese. Finally a DAISO store in the Tri-valley area.. Prices range from $1.50 and up. But most $1.50... Their stuff is cutsie but quality can be mixed, some items are pretty well made while others are just nice to look at but wont really do anything for you. Fun place to take the kids and it wont blow your budget. Snacks are not the greatest deal but its conveniently there thats all. you could walk about 20 ft down to 99 Ranch and find something similar there for less.... Plenty of parking, clean store, sales associates friendly. The line was really long for pay that day with 2 employees working and ppl were buying cart loads of stuff, but someone did open up another register to ring... Minor hiccups of a brand new store... As other reviews have stated, probably do some price checking before you go crazy since some of the stuff is overpriced just like a dollar store. Cool stuff like Iwako eraser alternatives, and some office things you would only find in Japan. A lot of the food things probably would be cheaper to just go a few doors down to Ranch 99. We went the weekend after grand opening and the lines were stupid long. So we actually dropped everything and decided to come back when things have calmed a bit. I happened to be in the area and was shocked to see that Daiso was open and not closed like the rest of the retail stores so I was quite excited (gives me a sense of normalcy). This location is pretty spacious and was quite empty so it was nice to be able to browse. I was lucky enough to get my hands on a pack of masks as well as gloves right in the front of the store but they were out of hand sanitizer and many of the other essentials. I found myself going down each aisle browsing and grabbing so many items, some useful and others not lol. I love that this store has many items needed to pretect yourself. Toilet seat covers, face shields, lots of Disney branded cleaning items and etc. I also love the variety of Asian drinks, candy, cookies and goodies that I love and some that peak my curiosity. This is definitely a one stop shop and you will find any and everything here. The store is very well laid out, clean and organized and it's one of the better locations that I have been to and seem to have a great selection. This place is still busy when I got here around 6:30. Some of the craft items I saw on opening day were all gone. Most of the Disney make-up brushes were gone along with the brush cleaner. If you see something you like don't wait to buy it. Good thing is that there were boxes everywhere to replenish their stock. I still love Daiso even though I end up buying stuff I don't need. Wow this store is HUGE!!! Super risky for those of us who are just browsing and wind up at the register with 10 extra things we really DIDN'T need (but are super cute and totally WANT)! They've got a massive snacks section and candy! Picked up some hi chews and pocky sticks! Unfortunately I only bought 1 pack of both but next trip will make up for it! In addition to candy, I also got the essentials that I came for: cute office supplies! Kind glad I didn't have more time to shop, else I woulda picked up half a dozen other things for an office I don't have! Took a star off for their return/exchange policy. I can understand no returns but exchanges should be allowed as long as the item hasn't been opened/used. My concern was particularly regarding a binder and if the size would work for my documents. Hi guys I just got back from daiso. As we all know daiso is now charging us 20 cents each for bags. As I did not know, I didn't bring any bags with me due to previously being told that during the COVID 19 period all bags are free as we are not allowed to bring our own in the state of California. 20 cents may not seem much to everyone but what I did not like was the cashier tore the bag accidentally from over filling even though I told him he could use another bag. Instate of giving me a new bag in place of the broken one all he did was tape it back. I even ask him "don't you think the bag will brake if I hold it?" His reply was "I'll tape it". This is a principle matter. If I'm gonna spend so much money in your store and you can't even replace a bag that you broke is just screaming cheap. I love, love, LOVE Daiso stores! But the closest ones I could find were in Fremont or Concord, which is easily 30 minutes or more if s drive. When my friend told me this place was opening up in the next town over, I was jazzed! They already had their grand opening, so the selection was a bit picked over. But they still had ample supply of cute necessities from all different departments. Not to mention, all the prices are super cheap and very reasonable. Although some items are made better than others. I found some cute car pillows and adorable office supplies for my desk at work -- they also have an ample selection of snacks and candy as well as beverages! My friend and I both bought a plethora of things and snacks :) but I think my favorite were the cat car seats. The shopping center has a lot of parking, and it's right by the gym, Savers and Burlington Coat Factory and across the street from Marshall's and Ross; it's a great location to get all your shopping done in one go. read more

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place. It has all your Daiso needs. I love this place. Super cute and useful stuff. I'm a fan of the food and the cookware- but you just never know what you'll find. There is NO bathroom, though- they're going to make you go to CVS if you need one. So that's kind of sad. What big store doesn't have a bathroom for customers? I took away a star for that. That's a big deal- because it's embarrassing to have to go over to CVS AND you have to ask for a key, on a stick- sigh. Maybe go to Daiso before you got to Starbucks and it won't be an issue. read more

My husband asked me if I would go with him to this store, which he had heard about from multiple people, including his coworkers. I said, of course, because I love to shop, and we were in the area really as a day trip with no real plans anyway, but I will tell you.. as much as I don't like going aisle by aisle through any other dollar store ... doing that in this store also give me a headache.. it's a cute place.
