Almost every Dollar Tree I've walked into recently feels the same: poorly stocked shelves, overwhelmed employees, long lines, visible mismanagement, and tension in the air that customers pretend not to notice. The customer service experience sometimes reminds me of walking into Waffle House -- and if you understand that reference, then you already know exactly what kind of energy I mean. As customers, we walk in acting like we don't see the chaos: Employees arguing. Staff stretched too thin. Shelves half empty. Products thrown everywhere. One cashier handling an entire line of frustrated people. And somehow we all collectively keep pushing our carts through the aisles pretending everything is normal because, at the end of the day, people are just trying to survive this economy and stretch a dollar as far as possible. But let's also address the obvious: Nothing in Dollar Tree is really a dollar anymore. At this point, the name almost feels nostalgic. Most items are $1.25 and up, and depending on the location, prices continue climbing. Honestly, stores like Family Dollar, Big Lots, or similar discount retailers are starting to feel more aligned with what Dollar Tree has become. Now to be fair, I don't fully blame the frontline employees. A lot of them look exhausted, understaffed, under-supported, and expected to manage impossible workloads while still being pleasant to customers all day long. Retail is hard, especially in today's climate. But corporations also need to understand that customers notice everything. We notice the lack of staffing. We notice the inventory issues. We notice the stress. We notice the decline in overall experience. The only reason many people still happily walk in is because finding anything under $10 these days still feels like a small victory. At least for now.

You would have to rate every business in the strip poorly if you just based on the outside. Now about the actual dollar tree; I was pleasantly surprised by what kinds of items they had in store compared to others I have been too. I actually got way more in this trip than I expected too cause I found good throw in items for various birthdays and such I've got coming up. Like they had various $1 beef jerky packages that I was able to get my husband one in every flavor to try for what would have been the price of one bag elsewhere. Though I know some of that changes depending on what seasonal stuff they may have. (Beef jerky might be due to fathers day coming up.) They did only have one lane open, but honestly that is the norm for any dollar tree I've been too. More lanes usually means changes in pricing so I'll trade waiting a few more minutes for prices to remain what I expect. When I go to a dollar store I want my items to be $1 or less. Staff I talked with were quick, efficient in getting line moving, and friendly! For sure somewhere I'll stop when in the area if I need to kill time.

You even can see bugs flying over. I haven't been in another 99 cents stores recently, but I used to do it in the past, the prices weren't that high, and they used to have a lot of options of fruits and vegetables, and so much better quality.

Just like dollar tree, but better, this place has almost everything you can think of, including seasonal items like fall, thanksgiving, or Halloween items! Most items are 99 cents, and some specialty items are more than that but even then the prices aren't unreasonable. I visit regularly to rack up on their $2.99 and $3.99 wines as well as their $.99 packs of brand name breads-English muffins, bagels, tortillas, etc. The key is to check in regularly for new items. In the frozen section there may be specialty items that make an appearance every so often. I usually forego the produce. It is hit or miss depending on what you are going to get. There are lots of $.25 clearances as well for out of season stuff. I scored kids chopsticks for $.25 once! The cashiers are pretty nice for the most part. The parking lot could use some TLC-there are some HUGE potholes on the east side of the parking lot, but all in all a great 99 cents only location.

OUTRAGEOUSLY OVERPRICED. I've been here a few times and every time I leave I swear I'm not coming…read moreback but here we are... First of all, the place reeks, it's a very abrasive musty smell. My standards for how a thrift store smells are very low, but this place smells borderline toxic to where I fear for the health of the employees breathing this in all day. Their pricing system is questionable. Yes, the handwriting is hard to read as others mentioned but additionally the color tag being 50% is only 50% off if the original price *has not* been crossed out once already? WHERE IN THE STORE DOES IT ILLUSTRATE THIS POLICY? I purchased a pack of cheap wine glasses thinking that they would be 50% off of the current listed price since they were the color tag on sale- a societal norm- but no, the cashier said it has already been discounted once so it's not going to be discounted again, but she did say it was on sale... doesn't make sense. You're telling me they go around the store and slash all the prices and write them down? Why not just take the discount off at the register? The lack of clarity bothered me enough to write this review. As a cherry on top, the customer service is lackluster as well, as others mentioned. I wish they'd do better. Pros: large selection, somewhat organized.
