My dog has been going to Daisy's for 13 years. Her groomer retired, and all of a sudden due to her heart murmur, they no longer want to provide grooming for her. Even though I provided them with authorization from her cardiologist they still declined to be of service. This use to be a great place for grooming, it is no longer. They also stopped expressing anal glans. The last time she was there the groomer did not even come out with her, which has been the case to share about the experience. Horrible - Wish I had read reviews prior... Lesson learned! My son called to get my dog groomed (bath, nails, de-shedded [30 min], trimmed). He was quoted $108. We thought this was a good price, so he scheduled for an 8am appointment. They took him in at 8am, reviewed the work to be completed, and price. We didn't hear back from them, so my son called at about 10:30am. He was told that they had just finished bathing him, trimmed his nails. They stated he was doing fine, that he was a little vocal; but everything was fine. He called again at about 11:30 and asked if they had an estimate on when they would be complete with the work. They stated it was taking a bit longer than anticipated because he was barking. He then called at about 12:30pm and asked what was going on; they said "Oh, he's done. We've been waiting for you to come pick him up." I've included photos of post visit, along with the fact that they quoted $108 for the work listed; fortunately, they stated that they weren't able to complete the trim because he was so vocal. I confronted them on the phone and asked why I was being charged FULL price for a 1/2 completed job! They stated, they didn't charge me for the trim; that would have made it $250. After trying to explain to the person that they were either seriously misleading on their quote (final price for the 1/2 job was $125, which I can accept [$20 difference...] but $150 over quote??!!! WTH? They will never see my business again, hopefully they are out of business soon enough as they really have NO idea on how to groom a dog (unless it's small maybe?), quote services, or realize their error!!! We have been having our fur baby groomed for short time at Daisy's, at first we thought everything was okay, we did have concerns about our dog being kenneled for hours and hours unnecessarily!! But the last grooming they clearly didn't have time to even complete the job! We received a call a few days before our scheduled appointment asking if we would like to come in early (couple days early ) we said yes! Not thinking I guess I should have asked how long she'd be kenneled After a full day at Daisy's our fur baby half her nails done and a poor job on the expressing her anal glands (this is critical important to her breed to have done right) then the trim of a cut! I called, after speaking with Amber it was clear we are not the first to complain. I'm post before and after pictures! Took my puppy to get a wash and toenails cut etc. not only did I come back and see my dog chained to the wall with no slack for him to even turn around with over five dogs unchained surrounding him moving freely. We also noticed that his snout was injured just above his nose. It was evident that he had been traumatized by his abnormal behavior after picking him up. Based on the conversation I had with them they blamed it on his high anxiety which we have never seen from him. If the situation was too much with his anxiety they should have immediately called instead of restraining him in such an inhumane manner. He literally couldn't move. We will not be taking any of our pets there and do not recommend using their services. It is a week later and the top of his snout is completely hairless due to the restraint used. read more

We were taking our malamute to Daisy's for about 5 years. he is such a good calm boy. Gets along with everyone including his vets putting thermometers you know where. Dog parks he's amazing and greets both dogs and humans with a big derpy smile. It's hit or miss here with timing and communication at Daisy's. We have usually liked bringing him there, but after his last experience will not. They said he bit someone which is not him at all. Then said they would charge an additional $60 if we bring him back. So the cost with tip would be over $200... then when I explained this can't be right he does not behave ever like that they said it was a mistake and he was nipping the air. I of course did not want any one hurt and that's a heavy accusation to say. but it made no sense because he's never behaved like that even days before at the vet getting shots and being put up on the exam table. The first bad experience we had was a few years ago and we picked him up panting and distressed. Which also never happens. However we have had good experiences with Daisy's so I wouldn't say absolutely do not go there. Just be aware it's very inconsistent and over priced compared to other local groomers. read more

I was never told the total. I wasn't given a receipt. I don't believe my dogs anal glands were expressed as my hound expressed his a day later. And it was FULL. That same pup his nails are still super long. I recommended that he wear a muzzle because he can get fiesty. He's never bitten anyone but he will let you know he doesn't like something. They tried to charge me $17 for a muzzle that I BROUGHT IN. I let them know I am not interested in paying any additional fees and I'll just leave if that's the case. Muzzling a dog makes your job that much easier and you want to charge me extra? I left there not even knowing how much I paid. My other hounds ears aren't super clean. Only his nails are decent. Not great. The ONE request was to please make there nails short as possible. They said "don't worry we clip & grind" yet we still here tip tap tip tap all over the house. I took off one star because the first time I brought one of my dogs in, she apparently vomited during the groom and they told me upon pickup. I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I brought my baby in for his first grooming. I had made the appt. over a week prior however, they called this morning to say they had an opening. I gladly took the appt for Friday afternoon instead of Saturday morning. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a friendly woman. I explained my shih tzu was a rescue and this was his first grooming. I then spoke to the actual groomer. I explained I wanted everything done because it was his first time. I was very excited to have him spoiled. I was told that they would do the wash and see how he did. If he was struggling, they would call and let me know. I was very appreciative and said I'd be waiting by the phone like a new mom. Well, I went home and waited, and waited and waited. Almost 5 hrs. later, I called for an update. I was told that he would be ready in 15 min. Ok, well good to know since it takes me 20 min. to get there. Would've been nice to get a call. Then I'm informed he didn't do so well and was sensitive with his ears. I asked what was actually done. She didn't know but wanted to charge me $75 over the phone which I thought was weird. I told her that I'd rather see my dog first. I raced down to the place because I'm wondering what the heck took 5 hrs?!! When I arrived, I stood outside the door and they just looked at me from inside. I attempted to open the door because I figured maybe I was supposed to go in for pick up, especially since someone else had gone in previously. As soon as I grabbed the door, the woman from inside yelled at me to get out and wait outside. Finally, someone comes out with another man's dog. I explain to the woman that I was actually next. She seemed to only be worried about getting my pymt. Interestingly enough, they don't take pymts but will take your card without gloves and no mask. I asked the girl what was done. She couldn't really give me an answer. I asked why it took so long. She was very rude and went on about being short staffed and that walk ins have to wait. Excuse me? We had an appt for the next day but you asked me to come in earlier. She then says well, it would've been even longer on Saturday with an appt. I asked her how long a grooming usually takes and she said it depends even though it states 3-4 hrs on their website. So basically, you're a dog groomer that is so short staffed that you ask for more dogs so they can sit in a kennel all day?!! I was on the phone with someone at the time and she could not believe how rude the woman was. Eventually the "groomer" came out. I asked her the same questions. She was also extremely rude. She said my dog had an ear infection and she couldn't do anything with it. Really?? He just had a full physical from the vet. He doesn't have an ear infection. She told me that he does and to find another vet. I guess these groomers are all vets but only cut hair on the side. I asked her for her name and she ignored me and walked back inside. I asked the other lady for my receipt and told her I wanted the girl's name. She said she would have to ask her if she felt comfortable giving out her personal information. What?! Your first name at at your workplace is now top secret or do you just always get complaints?? She came back with my receipt and told me her name was Carrie. Who knows if that's actually her name. It really doesn't matter. I looked at reviews but should've looked at ALL the reviews instead of just a few. The bad reviews seem to have a common theme. Extremely rude and unprofessional workers and price gauging. They don't publish their prices anywhere which means they can then charge you whatever they want. If you love your pet, think twice about sending them here. They can't speak for themselves. It's the worst feeling in the world knowing that I didn't do enough research and sent my dog to this place. I have to believe that not all groomers are like this but I will definitely do my homework next time. If a place has bad reviews and they all have the same theme, there's an ongoing problem. And, If they're rude to customers, one can only imagine how horrible they are to the dogs. Update: I remember the groomer stating my dog didn't like the blow dryer so she had him sit there to dry instead. He loves the dryer! So that's a lie. He also loves fireworks and loud noises. When I got my dog home, he kept going into the corner and sitting. His nails are very sharp so they screwed that up! He's very withdrawn and sad. It makes me sick to my stomach. Something happened! Took my German shepherd here. Booked an appointment for 10:00am Monday morning. She wasn't ready until 2:00pm. I would understand taking that long on a walk in, or if the job was done right. Paid for the deshedding and I can tell no difference. Not only did it take forever I wasn't even able to see her before paying for the service. My girl always comes home happy and smelling amazing. They just adore her, which is a bonus, and all the little details like the scarves they send the dogs home in are awesome. After bringing my dog in for a grooming the first time, I was surprised at the high cost after all the "add-on's"! They can't really tell you what is included in the basic the wash and cut, AND I couldn't even tell a difference besides that my dog now had a bandana on. The second time I brought him and instructed them on what I would like done they said it would be even more expensive to add on the undercoat brushing. I went for it and then when I got him home a ton of hair came out. The worst part of ALL is that I was very specific about his nails being filed since he is a puppy and they are super sharp, but when I go to pick him up he jumps on me, scratching my arms so bad they eventually bled! It was clear they had not filed them so she took him back in to have them do so which caused me to have to wait longer and have bleeding arms. Therefore, I have cancelled my auto populated next appointment and will NOT be returning! read more

We brought our Luna in for her first spa day in awhile and decided to give Daisy's a shot since we are new to town and it's a mile away... Sweet. Walk + groomers in one shot. I'm so happy I did, she looks and smells fantastic and you can tell by her swagger that she is FEELING herself today! They did a great job on her ears which is something that tends to get overlooked, and her very thick, dark and hard to trim nails look perfect and smooth, not ragged. I HATE doing them and she hates me for it so it was worth the money just for that! She came home with a big grin, a wagging tail and no joke, a flower in her collar and a killer flamingo bandana that we're keeping forever! The ladies didn't flinch at all when we arrived and greeted her WARMLY and happily. Given her breed, Staffordshire Terrier, we have had this issue with other groomers who claim they can't groom "pit bulls" due to insurance requirements etc., likely covering for their unfortunate fear of an amazing breed based on media sensationalist reports... I digress... Luna was also attacked by an off leash dog a few years ago while on a walk and unfortunately now has some leash stress when there's other dogs around if they are at ALL aggressive to overly forward. She's far better now but hey, I wouldn't want anyone up in my grill after what she sent through either. I was a little worried when I arrived and saw their small set up but they assured me they have a no interaction policy; the groomer just grabbed her leash and swooped her by the other dogs and into the back to wait her turn. Perfection in my book. I love my Staffies but I am very aware that they require experienced and knowledgeable handlers, I felt like had left her with one at Daisy's and was not concerned at all to go run my errands. She, as per her norm, charmed the pants off everyone there and they got her done in just a few hrs. Oh, did I mention it was a same day appt?? I can never find those! Really?? You call this dog grooming. I brought my dog in 30 minutes before her scheduled appointment, they took her and put her in the back. First of all she doesn't look what so ever groomed. A few hair trims here and there I can tell, even? No. Teeth brushed??? Pffffff I highly doubt that her mouth doesn't smell any different like it's been brushed. I have had her mouth cleaned before. Her ears?? No I still see crap in them that would be easily reachable. Any other place I have taken her too said they had no problem with her and she was nice as can be. Nail trimmings look like they just chopped the shit out of her nails. When I picked her up they had her locked in a tiny room which looked like a cleaning closet maybe? A bathroom? idk but they opened the dog and she coward when the lady went to grab her and basically bolted toward me when she finally seen me. Through a pile of dog hair on the floor. The rest of the dogs were locked in crates screaming and whining and shaking so badly. But I guess mine was barking too much so she had to get locked away by herself. I smell her, to see if they actually bathed her, she still stinks like what she smelled like before! She doesn't smell any different besides maybe someone sprayed her with a little spray. Btw the place is a mess! I understand a dog grooming place is supposed to smell like a wet dog but damn this bad? I will never ever return. I hope this place gets shut down. I'll start by saying we have never actually been in this establishment. We have a 6 month old golden retriever who was going to be seen for his first grooming. We narrowed down a few businesses and after calling around we scheduled an appointment last week with Daisy's for their soonest which was about 2 weeks out. Get a text today that our appt has been cancelled, no further info and no call. When I found the time to call and inquire i was informed why, and I understand, but I wasn't thrilled with their lack of reaching out. Also when I called there was no greeting I felt like I may have dialed the wrong number as the phone was answered with a simple hello not a business greeting. When I attempted to reschedule I was asked what he was coming in for, they did not seem to have the initial information down for this appt and I did not want to go through the specifics again. Why ask if there is not going to be a note of any kind attached to the appt? Wanted to give this place a try but with the lack of customer service I think we will try somewhere else. read more

I am saddened I even have to write this..... after 14yrs. It feels awful but I only want to prevent someone else from having the same experience and remain hopeful that they re-evaluate business practices. We have a very sweet, handsome 14yr. Old shitzu/bichon mix who was our first fur baby. He has been going to Daisy's since he was a puppy and has gotten great service over the years. We have tried other groomers simply because it can take all day for him to be finished but we always returned because he looked great and it was a familiar environment. We have especially been happy with Ruth. ( I will preface this by stating that according to our vet Dr. Farris, his heart is strong and he is in good health.) I called today to schedule him his regular grooming and was told that if I do not schedule him an "Express Grooming Service," they would no longer see him. I asked them to explain what this "express" service entailed and was told instead of services taking 6 + hrs, they get your dog done in 1.5-2hrs but for an additional $20!! They explained he needed this service because he "seemed" stressed at his last appointment. Not aggressive, mean or vocal, just "stressed." I told them I wasn't interested in paying for the extra service and in return, they refused to see him anymore. I was shocked and I am greatly disappointed and saddened. In my humble opinion, no grooming appointment should take 6+ hrs and according to many other reviews, that is how long services are taking. This is a clear indication you are overbooking appointments. Any dog, regardless of age, would be "stressed" after that many hours in a strange place, with loud noices, new smells and other dogs. They now want me to pay $85 for my #18 dog to be groomed, gave me an ultimatum, and subsequently lost a long-term, loyal customer. I genuinely hope Daisy's gets back to appreciating their long term relationships and puts their love and compassion for animals above greed. read more
