Dr Tartak performed my ICL surgery I want to warn everyone of my experience before the decide to come to her. First visit: When I came for the first time to inquire about the surgery, her mother assisted me in checking me in and then I was evaluated by other ophthalmologists, I saw dr Tartak and she explain the surgery process and made it sound like the best decision Surgery day: I was having doubts about going through with the surgery so they doubled up the dose and gave me 6 Xanax, I went in to the surgery room and I was already nervous, dr Tartak was very rude did not even acknowledge me or said even a "hi" instead just started working on my eye while arguing with one of her workers and raising his voice at him. I can tell she treats staff poorly. After surgery: Immediately after surgery I saw two streaks across that are permanent and are present every time I open my eyes no matter what I look at. This also causes extreme glare and I don't feel safe driving at all and I have a daughter! Not to mention the Tare is visible on my iris and it's huge as shown on the photo. I am constantly worried about loosing my eye!!!! I requested to see dr Tartak to talk about the issues I was experiencing but she never accepted to see me again and her mother kept avoiding me telling me it was normal. After multiple attempts I gave up. I feel stupid and lied to. I want to warn anyone who is planning to get ICL surgery with her please don't. Only reason I gave a star is because I have to. I met with Dr. Tartak as I had heard good reviews and testimonials from previous patients through a radio station. After my dad paid for the surgery and after the surgery was done I had complications not once but about 2-3 times. Due to the complications I had to get a "touch up" on both of my eyes on different occasions. The "touch up" as they claim is the LASIK surgery all over again... It was very uncomfortable and painful for my eyes. During the time I had the "touch ups" and had to go back for my regular check ups one receptionist had the nerve to tell my mom and myself not to discuss my procedures. Who is she to tell me what I can and can't mentioned about MY horrible experience ??!! Dr. Tartak oh gosh she was not happy for having to do the "touch ups" on my eyes as she wanted to charge me extra for something I had no control over. I had to explain to the receptionist that I was told for no additional payment if additional surgeries or procedures needed. The nerve she had to give me attitude when I explained to her my eye situation. I had the lasik surgery years ago and a couple years after the surgery my eyes started to hurt and I was seeing blurry. Not knowing what was going on with me I made an appointment with a specialist who mentioned that my corneas have scars from what seem to be a lasik surgery. I told him I had it done a few years and was told I would never need to wear glasses. Now a few years after the surgery in back to wearing glasses. Dr. Tartak cares about your money and doesn't want to see you after she takes your money. The receptionist are horrible and give attitude to those who pay for a horrible service. Here's to the dense "administrator" who replied. I AM GLAD I AM NOT A PATIENT. OBVIOUSLY you can't find us in your database with none of our information. I never said Dr. Tarktak wasn't kind, I just can't say she does a good job if my mother still has complications LITERALLY A YEAR AFTER HER INITIAL SURGERY. This is you people acting like you don't know who we are when you know who we are! You people have even tried "mailing" her eye drops just to get our address. I will return to yelp with pictures and proof. Again, instead of harassing people and calling people you should focus on how to make the establishment a better place for people who actually want to be helped, and not have them wait 5hours after their initial appointment. I regret having a surgery done by this people, I'm now looking for legal help for malpractice, I went against my friends advise not to use this people and had surgery on my right eye, I new there was something wrong when they took to long ( I had surgery done by Laser Eye Center in my left eye and only took 1 minute) Doctor Tartak did no make my surgery instead it was a Asian doctor i have never seem before, Now they blame my bad surgery on my diabetes , but my diabetes is always under 130 and it never had a problem. I'm going back to Laser Eye Center to have it corrected and will sue this people read more

The only reason I give a star is honestly for the staff. They all were so nice and understanding. Very patient and welcoming. I was referred here by my goddaughter because she had her eye surgery done here and it turned out great. I was excited to go but when I went the doctor was rude! She seemed annoyed when I would ask her any questions about the procedure. Instead of talking to me face to face she would give me her back. She snatched the brochures they had given me at the front deskwhen I asked if the the procedure they do in Las Vegas was the same as hers? Thats when she snapped and started yelling to leave and get the procedure done in Las Vegas!! I came for a consult and Sylvia, the receptionist, was nice, accommodating and welcoming. I wanted to learn about the procedure and recovery process but I never saw the doctor. I was hoped around from the finance persons and assistants and no one really detailed the process. I'm upset because they told me I was getting the surgery done Saturday and I would be able to go back to work Monday. Liessss!!! I couldn't see clearly for a week!! I didn't wake up with HD vision the next day, I couldn't open my eyes. I was in so much pain, it was like my eyelids were scrapping my eyeballs when I tried to open my eyes. I took the medication and was asleep for most of the day. I was freaking out and crying thinking something went wrong. so I had my sister call for me and they said my experience was normal. Well then why the heck didn't they tell me?? I hadn't planned to miss work and school for week. When I was able to open my eyes, I saw like dog and then slowly started to see things clearly. I'm happy the surgery did work. Just wished I knew about the recovery process. For follow ups, they aren't as nice as when you first come in. I would schedule my appt at 8am so I could go to work right after and the doctor would always be more than 30mins late so I stopped going for check ups. Anyway the surgery worked but I would just demand to actually see Dr. Tartak at the begging for questions and not the assistants, whom all look very young to be licensed in anything. read more

I had E lasik surgery and 2 touchups with Dr.Tartak and not happy with my surgery. I want to thank Martha M cause i got courage to write what happen to me and i am very sad. My vision is very bad and tartak never showed her face to talk to me. Before i could see ok but now no good. I cant see good at all and she made me worse. I am 37 years old and went to Dr. Tartak's to be evaluated for lasik. I was 20/100 and have worn glasses since grade school. The staff was friendly and efficient. I was a candidate for no cut lasek. I had the lasek surgery done and am now 20/13 with both eyes. I am extremely happy, this changed my life! I highly recommend Dr. Tartak! She is the best!! I've been wearing glasses for over 20 years up until a family member recommended Dr. Tartak and her state of the art LASIK machines. Note to those that are thinking about LASIK that your eyes are mostly in the hands of the technology and the machines not in someone's actual hands. The benefits were explained to me as well as the risks, I was told I was a perfect candidate and so far it's been one of the better choices in my life. I had only dreamed of getting 20/20 vision. And some of the reviews below are troll yelpers that I have seen before so beware of their reviews it seems to be the new thing on Yelp, people getting paid or encouraged to write bad reviews and undermine business. Make sure to bring a book or something to do, because you will be waiting...for 2-3, even 4 hours!! The staff is very rude and refuse to answer general questions. If you call to try to rescheduled an appointment or let them know you are running 15min late, they give you attitude, which i think is unnecessary considering once you sign in you'll be sitting for hours in the waiting room until you're seen. When they finally call your name it'll be to have you take a seat in a different waiting room, where you'll have to wait even more. On one occasion the office called to scheduled an appointment. The offered a date and time when I was going to be out of town, when i asked if they had anything else available, they said no and that the next open appointment was in 2 months! I called the next day and made an appointment as a new patient was given several times for the following week. When i confronted them, they made up some excuse about getting cancellations. My mom had the surgery over 2 years ago and has had countless "touch-ups" despite following all the ridiculous after-care instructions (at one point she was told not to sneeze!). When she signed up for the surgery she was told that her medication would be covered. This turned out being false. She only gets 1-2 sample of the medication and she has to purchase the rest! With an appointment! I understand if it's busy but there was only 5 people waiting. What is the point of giving appointments if you wait 2+ hours just to be called. The worst LASIK ! My vision is worst now than before the surgery. One of the doctors recommended for me to wear contacts lense before they do the touch up and guess what the contacts was recommended Dec 29 and its end of January still no contact lenses ! I call almost everyday but nobody would return my call! Yes they are busy , but I think the ratio between patient and doctors are too high that they are not paying enough individual attention to per patients needs! I had my laser operation at this place, I have no regreats abot it. But till today I have no idea who did the operation on me, the Doctor never came and introduce herself. Not very good from a profesional point of view. Dealing with the fallow up is been nothing but a nightmare, the front desk and the no help are good for nothing with a nasty attitude, I wold not recomend this place to any one ever, they book up to 12 or 14 appointments at the same time, I have been seating there for more than two hrs. Horrible staff !!! Very RUDE and clueless. Silvia a receptionist doesn't know how to answer a phone call, take a message and relay it. For three weeks I tried making an appointment and no luck ! I was a patient in "06" and just because I saw another doctor they were not able to see me again, that's what Silvia told me. Dr. Tartak never even bothered to call me back and confirm a reason. First of all, my mother is/was a patient unfortunately and it is pathetic that the surgeon does not even recognize her own patients. I guess it's easier to create a stellar reputation and pay attention to the 1 or 2 success stories than to the several damaged patients. Secondly, this is not a hoax and if most businesses are receiving bad reviews on yelp it is the consumer's voice to inform others of the accurate representation the business is providing. Many upset patients are coming together so their voice can also be heard and action can be taken. Hopefully, their review will be on the main page like my review was and yelp does not put it on the "not recommended" list so people don't miss the truth. Yes, the doors are always open when the front desk worker Slyvia is there but neither yourself (Steve Curran) or Dr. Tartak was made available for months to speak to when requested. It was always some excuse after another, "He is not in, he only comes in on Friday," "She's in surgery, "Next visit," the list goes on. My mother did not receive a formal education but thanks to her I was given this opportunity and I will use it guide her through this legal process. After collaborating with other patient's families we share this common similarity. I did feel free to contact you with the number provided in the response but just like your lack of administrating it was an automated answering machine with no answer. Dr.Tartak and yourself have had beyond ample opportunities to resolve the negative issues but rather give another excuse of this being a hoax. Not happy about my surgery that they did to eyes. I almost got retinal separationin one eye because they told mecthat in couple of weeks i will be ok to do all my regular chores at work. I've waited 6 weeks to be sure that i healed completely but no my left retina started to separate and I have to go to emergency and got surgery at kaiser. Thank god they were able to save my eye. But doctor tartac and her team got the nerve to charge me full price this is b******* it's not supposed to be like this. right now I still have to wear glasses cuz I cannot read . before I was able to do everything and not anymore thanks to dr tartac. so be careful before you go get surgery with these people they don't give a damn about your eyesight they don't care about yourself. The only thing they care is money. they say special price in the advertisement but is bullshit they charged me over $10,000. And they have not done what we agreed on in the first place. They still have to do the lazic but I dont want them to touch my eyes anymore and they dont want to give me money back. that to me is not fair. they haven't returned me $0.01 because they haven't completed everything to me so be carefull and think twice before you go to this doctor. You do not meet Tartak Dalel until you have the surgery. The finance people will tell you what you want to hear and make promises (that are not kept) so you can get your surgery there. The staff is rude and unprofessional. They do not want to work with you and are not helpful at all. Even when you have appointments you have to wait hours. Finally had my lasik procedure done and it was perfect! I can't stress how great the entire experience was. Everyone I encountered was professional, took the time to address any questions and/or concerns I had! I also felt the level of attention to detail when taking measurements was very reassuring. If you want a rude staff, crappy follow ups and little to no experience with the doctor you should come here. My mother had a lens installed on her left eye and lasik on her right eye. The surgery itself was short, but the waiting time as a first patient is ridiculous. Be ready to waste your entire day here. The horrible part comes after they have done the surgery. It seems like they only care about grabbing new patients and payment and the old is thrown on the curve. After surgery they only schedule you on the weekdays and if you are not able to come it's on you. They only save the weekends for new patients. The staff is rude in person and over the phone. They only care about getting you approved for the credit. In the end you only speak with the doctor Dr. Tartak in surgery and then it's follow up with other doctors. I believe as a doctor she should connect with her patients and check on the care they are receiving. It's been almost a month since our last visit and they still have not called, as they said they would for her follow up. read more

Staff? so so not the nicest or professional. their questionnaires? why do you need my SS#, DL# and why are you asking me if I've ever sued a Dr.? many many other irrelevant questions inappropriate for an eye examination; they totally lift up red flags for me. I felt like I was going in for psychological exam and not an eye exam. I filled out their forms; at the time I was giving the forms I told the front desk girl, totally unprofessional by the way, that I had my own pen; never she asked me if it was blue or black ink or indicate that they are only allowed to use black ink, ???? what is the freaking difference ink is ink; my pen was blue ink. after turning in my forms I was told they are not allowed to use blue ink and wanted me to do the forms all over again. that was it for me I cancelled the appointment and left.
