Back to glasses... Not happy about it. Thank you Dr. Tartan for a temporary LASIK surgery. :(
    Sonia W.

Only reason I gave a star is because I have to. I met with Dr. Tartak as I had heard good reviews and testimonials from previous patients through a radio station. After my dad paid for the surgery and after the surgery was done I had complications not once but about 2-3 times. Due to the complications I had to get a "touch up" on both of my eyes on different occasions. The "touch up" as they claim is the LASIK surgery all over again... It was very uncomfortable and painful for my eyes. During the time I had the "touch ups" and had to go back for my regular check ups one receptionist had the nerve to tell my mom and myself not to discuss my procedures. Who is she to tell me what I can and can't mentioned about MY horrible experience ??!! Dr. Tartak oh gosh she was not happy for having to do the "touch ups" on my eyes as she wanted to charge me extra for something I had no control over. I had to explain to the receptionist that I was told for no additional payment if additional surgeries or procedures needed. The nerve she had to give me attitude when I explained to her my eye situation. I had the lasik surgery years ago and a couple years after the surgery my eyes started to hurt and I was seeing blurry. Not knowing what was going on with me I made an appointment with a specialist who mentioned that my corneas have scars from what seem to be a lasik surgery. I told him I had it done a few years and was told I would never need to wear glasses. Now a few years after the surgery in back to wearing glasses. Dr. Tartak cares about your money and doesn't want to see you after she takes your money. The receptionist are horrible and give attitude to those who pay for a horrible service. I wish I could get back the money my dad paid.

Files out at reception, huge HIPAA Violation. And their hand made sandwiches they offer.

As soon as I exited the elevator, I noticed it on the left hand side. It immediately caught my attention because LASIK is something I've been wanting to do for years. After my husband's appointment I had a little bit of time and thought to go in and ask a few questions. They were able to see me as a walk-in and the whole staff were extremely friendly. After my testing, I waited for a bit and Dr. Zhu checked in on me and let me know it'd be a little longer. The wait was a little long but Evelyn came in and took me into her office to give me the price break down until the Dr. was free which I liked so I wouldn't have to wait too long. The pricing is competitive and reasonable. Unfortunately I wasn't able to see Dr. Zhu because I had to pick up my kids from daycare. I understood that I was a walk-in and there were patients there with actual appointments. I'll be returning on Thursday to finish my appointment and hopefully if all goes well I'll be scheduling the treatment shortly after. I can only imagine the care would match the customer service.

Over the years my vision continued to get worse, and by the time I turned 46, driving at night had become especially difficult. I knew it was finally time to do something about it. My father, mother, and brother all recommended Hyperspeed LASIK. They had also struggled with poor vision in the past, but after their procedures here, their vision was corrected and they now see better than ever. Hearing about their experiences gave me the confidence to schedule a consultation. At my initial consultation, I was honestly nervous because my prescription was extremely high--over -12 in both eyes. However, from the moment I arrived, the doctor and staff made me feel completely at ease. They took the time to thoroughly explain my options and answered all of my questions with patience and professionalism. A few weeks later, I underwent the procedure where lenses were surgically placed in both eyes. The entire process took about 45 minutes on a Saturday afternoon, and the experience was far smoother than I expected. The next morning when I woke up, I could already see clearer than I ever have in my life. It was truly incredible. I am beyond happy with the results and extremely grateful to the doctor and staff for their expertise and care. This procedure has genuinely changed my life, and I highly recommend Hyperspeed LASIK to anyone considering vision correction.

After I had my PCP resend the authorization directly to them, the office then told me my insurance was not valid. Positive review. 4-months Post-surgery OD:20/20 and OS: 20/15…read more I think many of you reading reviews right now are going back and forth about having vision correction surgery. Some of you might be like me and have extremely high myopia and want the vision freedom. From my experience, I researched ICL surgery since 2019. Once EVO ICL was FDA approved, I started looking for a surgeon for advice and see if I was a candidate. Before choosing IQ Laser Vision, I had gone to a different surgeon and he did say I was a EVO ICL candidate, however I was not impressed by him. I was later referred to IQ Laser Vision, where they contacted me and scheduled an appointment to see if I was a candidate. Their multiple offices made it easy for me to go meet with an advisor and doctor. However, with personal reasons, I was unable to get the surgery done during that year after that initial consult and going through their state of the art arcscan (apparently they're the only office that are using this technology to make sure to see if your eye has enough space/vault...very cool). Fast forward March 2026, I contacted IQ laser vision again in hopes that maybe I can ask them for another consult. Again, the advisor walked me through, doctors did their check up, arcscan again (still cool) and I was able to schedule my surgery. It was an honor to have Dr. Robert Lin be available to do my EVO ICL surgery. He was incredibly patient with my questions, listened to my story of researching this procedure, and I knew I was in good hands from someone who had worked on so many eyes. Perhaps my favorite part aside from the whole journey of vision correction and having 20/20 vision is that you can feel how much Dr. Lin cared for his patients. He called me personally to make sure my first day post surgery was ok. And even after 4 months later, he contacted me to make sure I was ok and how I am liking my vision. For those who are like me going back and forth about vision correction, I highly recommend making an appointment/consult to see if you can be a candidate. From there you can move forward and make that decision. I know it was later than I anticipated for myself, but I can truly say I am happy having that peace of mind that I can wake up and see, not have to worried about my glasses/contacts during a possible evacuation (fire or earthquake), and do water sport without fear of infections if I wore my contacts. That mental peace is probably the second to best part of this journey.

Overall, I am genuinely so happy with the results of my EVO ICL surgery--waking up with clear…read morevision has been truly life-changing! From my initial consultation through speaking with the counselor and completing all the intake steps, the customer service was fantastic. Every single employee you interact with out front is so warm, friendly, and welcoming. During all the preliminary scans and tests, the staff members were so gentle and reassuring, explicitly reminding me that having a strong, involuntary reflex to squeeze my eyes shut is completely natural and normal. The only small hiccup leading up to the day was that I didn't find out my surgeon's name until I arrived for the procedure; while everyone on their medical team is clearly exceptionally qualified, knowing who would be performing the surgery ahead of time would have added that extra layer of comfort. Still, I walked into surgery day feeling well taken care of and deeply grateful. :3 What surprised me most was the jarring contrast once I was behind closed doors. While the front-facing team is wonderful, the pre-op technician prepping me for surgery was basically the exact opposite. Because technicians in the back are behind the scenes and rarely mentioned in public feedback, several people urged me to write this review so others are aware. Even after my numbing and dilation drops, my eyes naturally wanted to close when forced open. This pre-op technician became visibly impatient with my reflex and used more force rather than give me a few seconds to let me relax my own reflex. While I don't recall her exact words, the message communicated was that if I couldn't keep my eyes open, the surgery wasn't going to be done right. This happened for BOTH eyes where I heard the other technician preparing with the surgeon stop what they were doing to make sure everything was OK on this end of the room. Hearing that theme of this will be my fault if anything goes wrong while trying to prep myself for the surgery, feeling the oral sedative hadn't fully quelled my nerves, triggered this intense anxiety. Basically, the whole time I was awake, I desperately wanted to follow instructions to look up and relax my eyes, but I was made to feel like I wasn't doing things "right" before the surgery began. It made the entire process excruciatingly nerve-racking, and I sat there spiraling with regret, thinking I never should have gone through with an elective, "nice-to-have" procedure if the potential consequences were lifelong blindness. The situation escalated right before the procedure began during the standard timeout. This same pre-op technician read off the wrong eye specifications and dimensions for the eye we were starting with. Frozen in fear and second-guessing myself, I hesitated to speak to trust the process aka assuming I had to trust the clinical team and their 300,000 success stories and I would be another one. Thankfully, the primary surgeon immediately caught the discrepancy and corrected it on the spot. Right before the doctor started the surgery, I told him hearing the wrong eye measurements was scary, he reassured me that they double check everything. While I am profoundly grateful for the surgeon's attentiveness and skill--which ensured the actual surgery went smoothly--having a pre-op technician read incorrect eye measurements after reprimanding me created acute distress. I spent the rest of the procedure awake and terrified of what could have happened had the surgeon not caught the error. I felt distressed about it the whole day after the surgery but my priority was my own healing post-op. Nonetheless, I did speak up at the next day follow-up. I brought the issue to my counselor, who escalated it to her manager. While the manager offered a sincere apology and provided some extra eye drops, a company of IQ Laser Vision's size and caliber should have done more to substantively address a clinical safety and bedside conduct issue of this magnitude. A comped bottle of drops and a verbal apology do not undo the psychological distress of that day. My results are great to never have to put on and off my contacts daily and being able to see ALL THE TIME. But.. whenever people ask me how my surgery went and whether I'd recommend IQ Laser Vision, this is still the defining part of the experience that immediately comes to mind.

She wanted me to come, and pay for a visit because I told her that they made a mistake last time and only gave me a 90 day prescription when you ALWAYS give me a one year. She wanted me to come down and pay for another visit (of almost $100) and wouldn't understand that it was a mistake. She even had the gall to say that doctors have a right to do it. So I said in the 10 years he never did it and it was a mistake but she insisted I come to the office, wait, and pay. She kept doubling down to come to the office and said I could not talk to you but she would leave you a message. I didn't believe she would hence the reason I'm writing this review.
