Hidden gem within the city. Parking is kind of a hassle but you can park at the elementary school after 5pm. Good fresh food and yummy homemade sauces! Definitely filling. The guys inside were so nice and kind as I have multiple questions and few sauce requests. They were accommodating enough to even label the sauces for me! Food was so good that I got full before even finishing my bowl! Even bought my sis a pita home and she said it was pretty yummy as well. I like that the proteins are all small patty shapes where it doesn't fall apart like other places. Will definitely have to come again to eat it fresh there though!

Dalia's Falafel in Bethesda is such a gem. The spot itself is small and charming, with a cozy seating area tucked behind the shop that makes it feel like a hidden find. Parking was easy, which is always a win in this area, and the staff couldn't have been more welcoming--friendly, efficient, and genuinely on top of everything. I stopped by around lunchtime, ordered the chicken pita loaded with all the toppings, plus fries and a drink, and had my food in about five minutes. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and packed with flavor--the kind of meal that hits the spot immediately. Between the quick service, great vibes, and quality food, this place really stands out. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to.

Dalia's Falafel is quickly becoming my go-to for a delicious pita sandwich. I can't get enough of their Sabich Pita - it's got their warm and chewy pita bread, freshly fried eggplant and crisp veggies with creamy tahini. But the main this is that it has both french fries and sliced hard-boiled egg in it, too! It's the closest thing we have to a Primanti Bros. sandwich in the DMV (if you know, you know). And for that, I keep going back. A Sabich pita and a Spindrift is my go-to meal. If you haven't tried Dalia's, you are definitely missing out!

Man was I impressed here! The gentleman that took our order and prepared our meal was an incredible person. Super kind, knowledgeable, and polished. He gave us the background of the business and mentioned how they source organic and locally as much as they can (farmers markets). No seed oils! If memory serves me right they use avocado oil here. The ingredients tasted so fresh that it was evident they source from the farmers market. The meat is halal for those that prefer this, making it very welcoming to people from all walks of life. The ambiance was super unique and there was plenty of seating in the patio. If you haven't been, don't walk....run!

Delicious falafel bursting with flavor in every bite! Best falafel shop in the DMV area and worth the trek from McLean! It's in a stand-alone brick and mortar cute little yurt/hut shop on the corner right after the big intersection.It's quite cozy inside and there's no seating, only outdoor seating in the back. The house-made crispy flat falafel patties are surprisingly soft and very flavorful while typically most falafel are dense balls. The fluffy pita bread was stuffed with tomatoes, cucumbers, pickled veggies (carrots, onions) and topped with tahini and a little bit of ambar pickled mango sauce. The fried eggplant was quite tasty and the sweetness elevated the flavor and worth the $2 upcharge. Every bite of the pita sandwich was packed with a delicious blend of ingredients and best of all - the sandwich wasn't messy to eat and nothing fell out! The salad bowl is another good option as the falafel is the highlight with the complementary toppings without the heaviness of the pita. The crispy fries are delicious. The garlic aioli is delicious (definitely ask for it!) and the staff kindly gave me extra sides of sauce. The Pita Deluxe combo deal with a fully-loaded pita and crispy eggplant slices, fries, and drink for $15 is well worth it! All of the toppings elevate the flavor. There's a spicy kick! The humble staff are always super nice and I could definitely feel the passion. So glad the business has extended their hours to 7 days a week including Sundays now! Sat - Tues: 11am -2:30pm, and Wed - Fri: 11am - 8:30pm. Excited to come back for more falafel and garlic aioli!

"The best falafel in the D.C. area" is what someone told me. A very bold claim, I had to check it out for myself. After eating their standard falafel sandwich with all the fillings except for tomatoes, the claim may be true. (Though, I'll always love Falafel Inc for their flavor, mission, and price.) Here's my experience. 1) Food: Their menu is simple, but mighty. Their specialty is the falafel sandwich with all the toppings, but they also sell meat kabobs and other goodies on rice. I ordered the falafel sandwich with all the toppings except for tomatoes. The falafel comes in two patties rather than balls. It's so good. The pickled veggies and sauces add a kick. It's truly phenomenal! 2) Service: The two men behind the counter were very helpful and passionate about what they are building. It's excellent! 3) Space: The building is very unique. With a dome roof, it's small, but mighty. The only seating is outside, but it works. 4) Area: It's in old Bethesda. Street parking is easier to find during non-peak hours. Otherwise, consider walking or taking the Metro.

SO good! We are 2 for 2 at Dalia's Falafel, it is sooooo good! We've had the falafel, sabich, and kebab - all delicious. Best falafel I've had in America. The fillings are so tasty. What an awesome lunch spot! Tried their pita with crispy chicken and it came out fast and piping hot which was great on a cold day. Super friendly staff who were patient with me when I was ordering and made sure I knew all the options I had for my pita. Ingredients were all fresh and tasty. They also mentioned that they use Angel pita (which are my favorite that I get from whole foods) but you can purchase in bulk from them at a better rate. Will be back for sure!

Cute spot that is tucked away near Bethesda Elementary School. Hot tip - you can park there for free after 5pm on weekdays and then you are a very short walk away, if you go through the middle of the plaza! We enjoyed the protein-packed Sabich Deluxe pita and the Moroccan beef kabob bowl. Love all the pickled onions on top to give it some bite, and the spicy schug sauce packs a serious punch! The pita was packed full of goodness, but held together as you eat it - just the right amount of bread. Fries are fresh and tossed with salt and seasonings as you wait. Be aware that there are no restrooms or indoor seating. However the outdoor seating is a dream. In addition to the table and chairs just outside of Dalia's, there's also a slightly sunken plaza a few steps away with lots of places to sit and enjoy your food. I could see this being a great place to bring kids on the weekend, since there's lots of space to run around (as long as you plan ahead for the bathroom situation!)

Grabbed lunch from them after seeing that they were donating a portion of the day's proceeds to a local charity. It was a good time to try them and eat for a cause! I ordered the beef kabob bowl with a side of the spicy zhoug and garlic aioli. I didn't know how else to customize the bowl so I just asked for all of the toppings. The portion size of the bowl was huge. I was able to split it into two smaller portions at home, so I had it for lunch and dinner. The kabobs were tasty as they were. The spicy sauce had a really good kick and the garlic aioli provided a break from my mouth on fire. Knowing now how it came without any customization, next time I would ask for - half the rice and a little bit of the pickled onions and radish. I'd keep the same sauce picks and on the side. The two gentlemen working behind the counter were friendly. Answered any questions we had about the different sauces. And the bowls were made fairly quickly. I'll come back for sure.

Really good falafel salad, very flavorful and a lot of delicious veggies. If I had one note it's that there is a little too much cabbage, might be better if they put in more lettuce and less cabbage to balance it out a little better. The service was great, they took my order and then brought the food to me at the outdoor table. The kiosk itself can get a little smoky due to the great cooking but they have a nice patio area if the weather is good. read more

Honestly, a falafel pita is one of my favorite foods. When another local falafel stand recently closed, I was wondering where I could satisfy my cravings, moving forward. Enter Dalia's Falafel - this food stand offers strictly a straightforward menu - Falafel Bowl and a Falafel Pita. You can make either into a combo with chips and a drink and add extra pita or extra falafel patties. Fully load comes with tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, pickles, shredded carrots, red cabbage, their spicy green schug sauce, and tahini sauce; I opted for a Falafel Pita with extra onions, extra pickles, red cabbage, and extra tahini sauce, with a side of the spicy green schug sauce. Let me tell you - this just hit the spot! The pita was literally one of the softest, fluffiest, and yummiest pita I've ever tasted - it was so good! The falafel were these thick large patties, which was kind of different, but made it less of a mess! The toppings were filled generously, and the whole thing was just so fresh and delicious! YUM! I left, thinking I should have ordered two (or, three) - next time! Staff were so friendly and welcoming! Located across from Bamboo Cafe, up the alley/hill, and you'll find their stand. There's limited parking, but you should be able to find a temporary spot as this is strictly a to-go place. Just be cautious of getting out, as the alley can only fit one vehicle at a time! We went in for a quick lunch at Dalias. A friend had given us a solid recommendation so we were excited to see what we find. Fresh ingredients, flavorful sauces and friendly staff made our day. Those falafel disks are amazing! And the little patio with brick surrounding is a perfect place to enjoy. It was a bit of a drive for us but well worth it. Highly recommended. read more

Service is solid, from the moment you order at the register to the moment you are handed your order. Walk into a tiny falafel hut, get your goods, and quickly head home. It's too cold to dine in the patio, and there just isn't much room (1 table) inside the little falafel hut. Not to worry tho, the fries are yummy and the bowl is fresh and nourishing. It's missing flavor tho. Maybe I should've added the am a sauce as well. The meatballs were underwhelming though. Sadly, I do t think I'd return. read more

Big fan of this small fast casual spot!!! Service is so down to earth and friendly. Very welcoming. As others have said, no inside seating but there are tables outside to bring your food and sit. Love the pita sandwich with falafel! Going to ask for extra pickles next time. It's super filling. For the bowl, get it with kabab and friend eggplant. read more

Wow! I was a bit worried with such raving reviews it might be somewhat of a let down, but Dalia's was incredible! My bowl was so fresh and full of flavor. I love that the salad component is not just greens but an abundance of crisp, acidic "toppings". Their red cabbage and pickled veg pairs so nicely with the creamy tahini and savory patty. It was clear they use fresh ingredients. This is a bowl your taste buds and biome/gut will definitely enjoy! Their pita was also so fluffy and tender. I would order those alone! I must also note how friendly the staff were, they were welcoming and smiling...it seemed like they were having fun preparing the food, and they treated me like a valued customer. Bethesda is fortunate to have this new permanent fast casual spot. I would love to know the backstory behind these thin, crispy, bright green falafel. My family loves their falafel sandwiches - so flavorful and fresh! And the service is wonderful - great people! I first discovered Dahlia's in their Kensington location years ago and was so glad they opened their Bethesda storefront a couple years back. And so happy they are now open on Sundays too! The warm soft pita bread serves as the perfect vehicle to hold the chicken schnitzel or the falafel or any of Dalia's offerings. The amazing sauce that accompanied my chicken schnitzel along with the fresh crunchy vegetables it was the perfect union of everything! I will be back again and again...and if you're smart, you will too!! Not to mention, it's peaceful outside seating but hurry up before the humidity takes over. ' read more

Stop everything you're doing and come to this place!!!! This is probably my favorite find on Yelp to date. Tucked away off Howard Ave, there is a sign pointing you up the driveway to the tent that houses the counter to Dalia's Falafel. Ordering is quick and easy, and the guy at the counter even offers to take your food to the car when it's ready. A+ service for me. On to the food... You know the restaurant is gonna be FIRE when they only have 1 thing on the menu. You have 2 options for your falafel: pita or bowl. I recommend the pita, fully loaded with all toppings, and extra sauces. This is the best falafel in the area! They are served like patties, and they are so filling and delicious. The sandwich has a kick to it too! After trying this place the first time, I was hooked, and I've visited weekly. They're only open until 2 pm so make sure to visit early for lunch. read more

Just opened on Old Georgetown Rd. Nice and bright inside and very clean. Felafel was excellent. I had the felafel bowl without the pita, and the combined flavors of cabbage radishes, red onion, pickles, & carrots were so tasty I didn't even use the 2 sauces. Nice, clean, fresh taste. The falafel patty is perfectly crisp with a moist center and it's shape allows for the perfect bite each time unlike the traditional falafel ball shape: pure genius.
