A cute little hole in the wall cocktail bar. They have excellent happy hour Monday through Saturday from 5 PM to 7pm. You don't want to bring too large of a crowd as the biggest table is a four top and it is a pretty small space. It is in an alley off of King Street. Driving by around sunset looking for parking and I saw this little tucked away spot called Dalila's... I felt drawn to the spot and knew we had to visit! First time in Charleston and I felt as if I struck a gold mine! The atmosphere was so welcoming, a local "go-to" spot for people in the restaurant service industry! The spot is tiny but cozy, they have a great scent that blows through their fans, a vast range of cocktail selections that are strong/amazing! It's very dark inside and authentic with hanging plants/ a vibrant sign here and there. Overall, I struck a gold mine. We walked down here after eating at Bourbon and Bubbles. We immediately felt welcome and he turned out to be one of the owners. It's a very cool atmosphere and is small, but that makes it more intimate. There is also outdoor seating. The drink menu was vast and also delicious! For after dinner drinks, Dalila's is the spot. It's the place to go when you don't want to shout over loud music or elbow people to get a drink, you can just sit and enjoy a cocktail. It's a nice laid back vibe. Even though it's right off of King Street on Spring, it's tucked back from the crowds. This is the kind of place where the bartenders know you better than you know yourself, so if you need a drink recommendation, you're in capable hands. I decided to go outside my comfort cocktail zone and order the San Pablo Ave, which has vanilla chai bourbon, orgeat, banana, lemon, and herbstura. Not going to lie, I was scared of the banana and it being too heavy/ creamy, but what I experienced was a light and tropical cocktail. It's probably one of the best cocktails I've had recently. They have drinks with all different types of spirits, but all with tropical flavors that I really enjoy. The space itself is small, but well designed so you don't feel like you're on top of other people. If you get hungry, they have a few light bites. Parking in this area can be tough, but there are a few parking garages nearby or if you don't mind walking a few blocks, you can take advantage of free street parking for a few hours. read more

With the experience of the staff there, you will find a drink for you. The great music and an open friendly atmosphere make it a perfect place to start or end your night. A highlight for me (outside of my boy mike) was their rum selection. I am a big rum drinker and they had several things I'd never been able to try before! Myself and a group of friends ended our night here 4 days in a row and were able to try new things and have a great time every single night. THE BEST COCKTAILS! We love Dalila's! What a great atmosphere. The decor is very bohemian meets cool LA vibe. The service is great. I have literally nothing bad to say about the place. I wish the cocktails were bigger because they're so delicious but THEN I would be too drunk, too soon (yes, that's a thing), because they're strong. This is a perfect place for a couple getting a way for a night for a few amazing cocktails. It's got a great vibe, it's small and personal, the bartender/owner did a phenomenal job and was a great conversationalist that gave us lot of other selections, and lastly the music was perfect with a relaxing feel. I did not find another bar that had such a great variety of cocktails. They have several classic cocktails with Caribbean twist while also having many very original cocktails. They do such a great job mixing the ingredients and all of the cocktails are balanced so well. My wife and I could have stayed here all night but after three each we definitely were in a great relaxed state and we didn't want to overdo it. To mention a few of the drinks, my wife loved the Konuku Mountain which is a delectable rum drink that is guaranteed to put you in a great mood, and me being a bourbon and rye guy I got the house old fashioned, San Pablo Avenue, and a rye cocktail that I asked the bartender to surprise me. I love this place not because I live directly above it but because of how nice the guys that run this place are. If you want to go to a bar where you not only feel welcomed but you also know that any question you may have about the establishment won't be seen as annoying, then you need to come visit this spot.
