This place is a little hidden gem, if you don't know where it is you will past it right by but it's the ambience is a small little cute restaurant with seating inside and outside with some good music. Food was really good I got the chicken buns and the beef buns with the loaded fries, and a lycee strawberry tea, I would go back just for the fries and the tea 1000% lol the service was nice and fast overall everything was good I'll give it a 8.7/10

1000/10 recommend. Like we're willing to drive from Kissimmee to have again. All the bao buns are amazing. Customer service top notch. Good music. Japanese beers. All the vibes. And you have to try the thai tea crème brûlée

Amazing soft bao buns! Packed with flavors and worth $6! My son always gets their porl belly bowl. He is a regular customer there already. He goes there every week! At this point, it is a tradition for him to get his pork belly fixed. The crew and service are awesome. They probably know my son by now.

Rainy Sundays call for Hot Asian Buns.. what a name! lol Got a haircut at Traditions next door and swung by after to check this place out. Was greeted warmly by the front staff. Ordered two items: TEMPURA SHRIMP BAO (Spicy Mayo, Eel Sauce, Red Onion, Romaine, Cilantro) - Very Tasty and was great starter LACQUERED PORK BELLY BOWL (Hoisen Sauce, Preserved Mustard Greens, Peanut Powder, Cilantro) - Pork Belly was melt in your mouth good. The pickled sides compliments it well. Definitely will be back to try the other menu items!

Great service, cute little place with great food! Everything was wonderful. We both enjoyed our meals. The Buns are made fresh there from scratch.

hot Asian buns is amazing from the service to the food to the vibes! If you're considering going here please do it, the workers really care about the food they serve and the quality of it is delicious . It's priced so well and it doesn't feel too much or heavy, I wish I could go everyday!

I love the decor and aesthetic here! I had two bao with shrimp and Korean chicken and fries. Food is cooked to order and was fresh and flavorful. Fries had a frozen taste to them though, but were ok with the sauce on them. I loved they offered complimentary fruit infused water. Great local spot! Check it out

We were in the area and I always wanted to try it! I heard about it when it was a food truck but never got the chance to go, especially since it's kind of farther away from where I live. If I lived closer, I would probably come a bit more often. The baos were so fluffy! They make them in-house and they were so fluffy and soaked up the flavors so nicely. They packed the baos so much that it was a bit hard to bit into at first. The kimchi loaded fries were really good too! The toppings on it were just right. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating which is nice, and the music wasn't at an uncomfortable volume, which made lunch time enjoyable. Parking may be a hassle in front of the store, but there's some parking lots nearby.

This place is so good!! When I walked in it was a bit packed, but most of them were leaving just as I was taking a seat. They have a good menu, but ultimately I went with the Korean Chicken Baos. It didn't take long to get my food, plus I was a bit busy taking photos of the place because it's just so cute! Love the decor. Anyways the food was delicious! I really enjoyed the freshness of the slaw with the spicy chicken and sauce. Everything blended so well and the baos were nice and fluffy. I'm definitely going back to try the bulgogi next!

Hot Asian Buns is now one of our favorite places to eat in the downtown Sanford area. My husband and I split a bao combo, an additional bun, and wings. We enjoyed it all thoroughly but the wings were definitely the favorite. You order at the counter upon entering and food is later brought to your table. Not a formal dining setting. The interior of the restaurant was super cute and the service was good. We can't wait to go back!

What an amazing spot! I recently visited Hot Asian Buns in Sanford and had the best experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the whole visit even better. I ordered the chicken bowl, and it was absolutely delicious. The chicken was so crispy and perfectly cooked, and the flavors were on point. But what really stood out were the spicy carrots, they added such a nice kick and were the perfect balance to the dish. If you're in Sanford, definitely make a stop here. Great food, great vibes, and fantastic service!

20/10 for this spot This is the best bao I've ever had, the texture is spot on. It's not that waxy , doughy stuff you sometimes get. it's still fluffy & the filling is packed with flavor!! The bulgogi beef, chicken , the rice bowl & kimchi fries... all worth it!! The rice bowl was my favorite along with the chicken bao buns service was quick and food was made fresh , can't wait to come back !

We stopped at this cute Asian restaurant because I am a sucker for a good crème brûlée. These guys absolutely nailed it. The Thai tea crème brûlée was creamy and delicious, and our chef was Michelangelo with the blowtorch, melting that sugar on top to perfection. I know a good crème brûlée when I have one, and I would recommend this to anyone. 5/5.

Are all or most of the food items spicy? We like a little spice, but mostly we prefer mild. Thanks.

No, there is nothing there that is spicy or a high level of heat.

What is the address of the house they are currently located behind?

Hi Shanen! It's 1000 Oranole Rd., Maitland FL 32751

Spacious but not as much as some other places in the area. I was thinking that it would have a park/picnic vibe which is not quite accurate. We met friends from out of town on a Saturday afternoon and after sitting down and taking it in, decided to just have drinks and go elsewhere for dinner. The menu had a variety of drinks, including wine, beer, cocktail and mocktail options. Appetizers and main course are a bit more than burgers, hotdogs and bbq, it's like a cookout with flair and the options definitely had an urban hipster vibe. I can't comment on food freshness, quality or flavor since I didn't try any food. I had a cocktail and it was good. Not far from the bar, little kids were playing. They seem to be catering to parents of both, little people and fur babies. There were a couple pups. Mixing drinking adults in a pet friendly/kid play area was a new concept to me. There was a little football being tossed around and quite near the table. Our server seemed a little stressed/annoyed, possibly because we weren't sure about staying and possibly because of the little football being tossed around. No complaints really. Now I know what to expect. It's a great option for the target clientele, if not too full or busy. Just like at a park, you want to keep a sharp eye on your little ones as they play. Wish I'd had a similar type of place when mine were little that I could've met my single friends at. Easy to meet other parents too, I suppose. Imagine a fancy backyard cookout without the worry of cleaning up afterwards.

The spicy wings were my personal favorite though. They weren't overly spicy, which was good for me since I have a low spice tolerance. The coating was very crispy and the chicken itself was juicy. Aside from the spiciness, the chicken had a pleasant savory flavor that wasn't present in their classic fried chicken. I will also note that the biscuits were fresh, soft and buttery and the potato wedges were crispy and flavorful. I can't really comment on the service since I went through the drive through. The one thing I have to say is that they have an AI taking your order, which was a little janky from time to time but overall it did well.
