Check your price and receipts!! This is my go to every time I'm @ BJ's. But this last time really got me. Your prices are written on the menu if they are not right, wipe the marker off and fix it! I ordered a small mushroom cheesesteak 8in.$12.50. I added a $1 tip which I hate doing because you're not serving me anything but it didn't give you the option not to. Do you want a receipt? No, I'm OK because you know I'm here all the time so I trust--- then she took the guy behind me. He said no no no I ordered a small you're charging me for a large, then I remember I paid $22. I immediately went back and said I also ordered the small. It's $12.50. Why was I charged $22? She said because I added mushrooms I chose the "mushroom cheesesteak"It literally says $12.50 for the 8 inch on the menu! Would you like your receipt? Absolutely! And the proof is in the pudding. The receipt says large cheesesteak $17.95 that isn't even the price on the menu it's $16.50. My problem with the actual place is if you're trusting it and you're not asking for your receipt, which is my fault. And they do this to 50% of the people a day that may not notice.... the building and employees could not be more suspect. Shame on you! Disputed and will not be returning! No, it wasn't rectified. Food was good and hot. Parking is crammed, it's a shared space with Tuffy Tire so parking is limited. Young girl at the register was nice, tall cook with gotee and baseball cap, NOT so friendly. He didn't say my name correctly which is ok. However, when I went to retrieve my food, eyes locked in, big smile on my face (I was hungry, lol) , and said thank you - death look. No expression, no - your welcome, enjoy, etc. I was hesitant to even say this but this is what this platform is for.. borderline racist as he was nice to other people of lighter skin ); . Just made me feel not welcomed at all. I even said thank you twice. Sometimes kitchens can be a little loud and I can understand if he didn't hear me the first time,, but I know he saw my lips move as we were looking right at each other... Anyway. Overall food was good, a little pricey for a sandwich, fries and a can soda though. For nearly $22 you can eat at sit down restaurant, have quality food and be served with sit down experience. It's obvious that people mistake quantity for quality when they are writing reviews for this restaurant. Is the sandwich loaded with a large quantity of meat?? Absolutely Yes!!! Is the quality of the meat product of totally sub-par?? Again.... Absolutely Yes!! So much meat that it's falling out of the bun, yet it tastes like that low budget freezer burnt steakumms product that they sell at Walmart and Winn Dixie. Definitely not fit to eat and when I offered it to my dog, I couldn't even get him to taste it. He sniffed it and just turned his head away. Absolutely wouldn't touch it! My sister and I were starving from a long morning of grocery shopping. She said she wanted a cheesesteak. We checked the map and LaSpada's popped up. I had no idea they had more than 1 location (Lee rd in Orlando) We popped in and were greeted by the cashier. My husband is originally from the Philly area and this is his favorite place in town. We drive from Winter Park to Sanford about once a month just so that he can get a cheesesteak from this greasy hole-in-the-wall. We recently brought a friend here and he got the pastrami and loved it too. The curly fries are super tasty too, and I always forget that they have them. The desserts look good, but I haven't tried them yet. It's not the fanciest place, but the food is good and it's clean enough that I will eat there with him. They also have Herr's chips and some fancy sodas that I appreciate too. read more

Their steak meat was like hamburger meat not at all like the steak meat that I'm familiar with from living up north. The place was clean and organized. This afternoon was my first time at this establishment. I wanted to get some lunch. The meal I ordered was a Steak Cheesesteak with lettuce, tomato, banana peppers, and onions. It was delicious. It was very flavorful and packed with meat and cheese. The service was very swift and everyone that worked there was very friendly and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was very chill and relaxed. My coworkers and I visit La spada's at least once a month for lunch. I've tried most of their cheesesteaks, several of their hoagies, and salads. My favorite of all of them is the Laspada's Famous hoagie. The 12" is $15.95, which to me is a bit expensive; however, it's loaded with freshly sliced meat, cheese, and other ingredients to the point that you can't close the sandwich up to eat it. You almost have to eat it open-faced. Most of the time I'll only eat half and then save the other half for dinner. This location is very small, if you're coming for lunch you definitely have to be there right when they open at 11:00 a.m. because this place gets packed. The few tables they do have fill up quick. Sometimes we dine in, but when it's busy, it's hard to enjoy your meal with all the noise and everyone else standing around looking at you while they are waiting for their order. What works best for us is ordering our meals 15-30 minutes before they open, pick our order up, then go back to our shop to eat versus dining in. If you do order at the counter then dine-in know that your order could take 15-20 minutes to prepare. I took Nancy and my mom to Laspada's last week, it was their first time here. I ordered a laspada's famous and mom and Nancy both ordered the 10" mushroom cheese steak ($11.99), which all came out excellent The only thing Nancy wasn't too fond about was the bread, she says the bread was a bit chewy and didn't expect that. I don't know if it's a Philly thing, but the staff aren't super friendly, good luck getting someone to crack a smile. Yet they do get you what you need and overall do a great job making some delicious food. The store is not super clean, but it's not a fine dining restaurant either. Ordered a 10 inch turkey and cheese sub and cheese fries, to-go through their website. The website was user friendly. An app is also available to place orders if you prefer. I was surprised to see a LaSpada's in Sanford. I've always enjoyed their subs during trips to Fort Lauderdale so it's a nice addition to the area. The subs tastes so fresh and I love the hot peppers. Their bread is always soft and fresh baked. The sun was overloaded with Turkey and can definitely be shared. Ordering a mini is probably the way to go if you're not sharing. I am looking forward to trying their chicken Philly during my next visit. The cheese fries were nothing special. I wouldn't order again. Located next to a tuffy. Restaurant was clean. I have been eating there also takeout for years, when I started they were in Orange City, then they opened one in Sanford which I've not been to, then opened one in Deland when they closed the Orange City location because NO PARKING, it is a family owned business. Best.Cheesesteak.Ever! I mean, what else can I really say after that intro for a review?! So much meat on every sandwich with the perfect amount of melted cheese ratio. (I don't get onions) My mouth literally water every time I think of these cheesesteaks. My only wish is they kept later hours in the evening. Employees are great. They always remember my husband who always picks up the food. If you're traveling on I-4 (east or west), this is just off the interstate, so keep it in mind if you're traveling. Listen I love Laspada's, I mean look at my five star review which I'm not changing, but why are some people being told to wear a mask and others not...I have no problem and believe we should due to the family member having cancer, but the rule needs to be equal across the board. I've been to this location once a while back. I went to the one on Lee Road, which mind you is much closer to my house, but it in NO WAY compares to this location. The quality of the food is undeniably so much better. I was in the mood for a philly and came here last week. I've since been there three more times in a week and a half period and I'm already planning my next trip. The prices have gone up, but they're working on updating the menu, so it is not reflected yet and I did notice a few people walk out. Yes, it can be expensive (12" green pepper cheesesteak and curly fries ran me around $20) but I'd rather pay a little bit more for high quality food I'm going to enjoy then something lack luster for a little cheaper. Also, the 12" is the largest and huge! Enough to share or make a couple meals out of. You also get a TON of curly fries! They have great lunch specials and you can upgrade to their amazing curly fries for an up charge. They are usually extremely busy and last time I went the male taking orders was extremely flustered. He was still kind, just a little short. I don't blame him, I believe I heard something about the Orange City locations phones being down. Nonetheless if you haven't been here you're truly missing out on amazing food. Be patient it's worth it and please wear a mask.
