For nearly $16, I expected much better quality and flavor. Nothing about the food was satisfying, and I left feeling like I wasted my money. I happened upon this place while I was searching for bagel places near me. I tried out their lunch option- I got the motherland bagel sandwich. They were very accommodating with several of my substitutions and it was very tasty! I had a friend pick it up for me and it was not soggy by the time they made it back. The sandwich was rather large so I ended up having it for 2 meals. I thought there was a very generous amount of meat on my sandwich as well, which is pretty uncommon for a lot of sandwich shops. Me and my family stopped by there this evening for the first time. So to start it was 245 when we pulled in and we didn't know that they closed at 3... but they welcomed us in and were very pleasant. The food is phenomenal!!! Do not let the old huddle house location fool you.... This man is serving up some of the best diner food I've ever had!!!! Service and presentation was refreshingly top notch. They are in the customer service business for sure. Even my children (teens) were complimenting the food. We heard of them for the first time today, thought they sounded good, went to the website and placed an order through the link on their site. That was a huge mistake!!! We chose options as available on the ordering platform. However, we had four issues. A bagel allegedly came with one meal when we ordered it - but it didn't. The choices to remove veggies resulted in them being added. There was an eggshell in the poached eggs. Avocado was not added, as requested. I called about the errors and they said that the online ordering issue is a known problem. Known to whom? Not to a brand new customer ordering for the first time! A bagel was not supposed to come with a meal. So, too bad we didn't get it, but we didn't pay for it either since it wasn't supposed to be an add-on (even though it was available on the online ordering system.) Same with the avocado - not supposed to be there, so we weren't charged for it - too bad you were expecting it. They were sorry about the eggshell, but oh well, nothing we can do. "That never happens - sorry." My husband bought blueberry cream cheese at the store when he picked up the order to go with the blueberry bagel he was expecting. Their solution was we could drive all the way back to get either the bagel or the cash back for the cream cheese. It's a good 15 minute drive - so a half hour round trip for less than $2 refund. They won't even tell you on the site that the ordering system is faulty. They told me the best thing to do was phone in an order?!? How was I supposed to know that? I suggested they remove the online ordering system as it's inaccurate, but she assured me that their customers knew how to order on it and wouldn't check any add-ons even if the ordering site showed them as available. Too bad we were new to them and we didn't know not to order what the site said was available. Really had much higher hopes for this place. Complete customer service failure. read more

Delicious Great hometown feel place for a good bagel and some short order brunch or a lunch. Great coffee bar feel with plenty of business but get here early if you want a wider selection of bagels as there was ALOT of orders for carry out bagels to take home! Really enjoyed my lox! 3. My first impression. Will go back to reassess. Meh. The more I think about this place, days later the more I'm not really impressed. The service is great, the new layout of the restaurant is not the best, and the food was OK. The place is called Dallas bagels. My bagel was good. I had every intention of getting a half dozen to take home. By the time I got to the end of eating my bagel, I had talked myself out of getting a half dozen. When I ask myself why, I find myself saying that the fresh bagels at Publix are on the same level. Cream cheese was delightful. Omelette was your basic overdone fluffy American omelette that you get at most greasy spoons. Again there's just nothing that stands out here as I wanna make this my go to local spot. I stand by my first statement. I will go back to try some other items. They also have lunch. read more

This place stays packed, so I ended up at the tiny bar. It's kinda awkward and the staff is unsure if you're waiting for an order or just wanna eat. I came to get 1/2 doz bagels and lox and ended up getting lunch too. I had the BLT and A sandwich and it was delicious! It's a huge 3 layers of bread so I assumed I would be taking half home with me. The only downside of Dallas Bagels, is in the name itself. The first time I drove by months ago, I said to myself "How in the hell can they stay open selling only bagels?" I thought it would go the way of the other business' that have occupied this location. Then my mother saw on Next Door that Dallas Bagels has a full menu, read positive comments, so we decided to go. I'm glad we did! I had the fiesta omelet with hash browns, and she had the eggs avocado benedict. My mom loved her dish (said it was the best breakfast she's had in a long time), and I thought the omelet was very well prepared. At the end of the day, it is what it is; a diner omelet. However, the flavors of the cilantro and pico, along with the black beans (also very flavorful) made it great! Service was very friendly and and timely. The whole operation was nice and clean; definitely not a Waffle House vibe. They did a great job remodeling. We will certainly return.
