Because of where we were placed, we were neglected for about 20 minutes. It look like a dog chewed on my ribs before they sent it to me... the honey basted chicken was old and soggy. The pina colada drink looked like sour milk. This is my first time here and it will be my last. I've worked in numerous restaurants so I understand how it can get busy and the service can be delayed. From experience depends on the day you come the type of service you get ..on weekends it can be hectic(expected because of its location) and the food may take a little longer to come out but the food is always hot and good...the drinks are good for the price (Try the Mango patron margarita).. and I haven't ran into any nasty waiters/waitress but sometimes it can feel like they are rushing you depending on how crowded they are...otherwise the ambience is nice specially with the dj on friday and saturdays (went last night they didnt have one though) .Overall it's a nice spot and I dont have to travel to the one in the city no more read more

I've never written a review on Yelp, but this place made it absolutely necessary for me to write one. Trust me, you'll want to read this before going here. Let's start at the beginning: I went here on a Friday evening after work with co-workers for alcohol and greasy food after a long week. The place wasn't terribly busy, yet it took our server a while to get to our table. Skipping ahead in the story, the drinks were extremely strong, which I didn't mind at this particular moment. After eating, one of my Co-workers and I pay the bill using credit cards. The server takes our cards, comes back with the cards and our receipts about 10 minutes later, and we leave. Here's the climax of this story: About 3 days later, my credit card company contacts me regarding some suspicious activity on my account. Low and behold, it appears that someone tried to use my credit card number at 3 different places in the Bronx. It sure as hell wasn't me in case you don't realize yet where this story is going. Who could be using my CC number, you ask? Well, the last time I used my card was at this Dallas BBQ location. Also, that coworker of mine that also used a credit card at this restaurant? A certain someone also tried to fraudulently use that card's number a few days after our visit to this restaurant. I think it's obvious at this point in the story as to who is fraudulently using other people's credit card numbers. Conclusion: I tried calling the restaurant just to let them know they have a thief working there. I was on hold for nearly half an hour before realizing that they probably don't really care, because it is apparent that they'll hire anyone who walks through the door. TL;DR: If you want to eat/drink here, sure, whatever. Do you. But don't pay with a card, because your server is probably gonna try to buy sneakers and liquor with your card info. read more

Delivery went smoothly, arriving forty minutes after I placed it at 8:40PM - only problem was I had to head downstairs to go nab it from the old guy in the minivan. I love Dallas BBQ and the crazy thing is I don't eat BBQ but I still enjoy going there.... so many things to choose from off the menu that you could never get bored with what you eat. the drinks are GREAT and if you have enough of them you will leave out walking a different way than you came in lol. I would have to say this place is always jammed packed but then again so is every other BBQ's i've been to. Absolutely the best "go to" spot on day of the week, at any time. The staff treat me like I'm walking on the red carpet. The prices are absolutely amazing for what you're getting whether it's the food or monster delicious drinks. The manager on duty, Q, is so pleasant and treats everyone like a guest in his house. He also ensures that everything stays smooth if there is any trouble trying to rock the house. The food is great; my favorites are the wings, salmon, and the chicken Caesar salad. I also love the ribs and fries. Depends what type of mood I'm in. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. (Get there ahead of time because salsa con fuego really messes up the parking situation with their "$20 valet" street parking) this doesn't stop me from going though. read more

I've been here before but today's has just been from bad prior visits to worst. We asked for seating for 2. I asked how long was the wait, hostess said 10 mins which seemed reasonable. Waited 25 mins and Nothing. Talked to the hostess, she said wait here. We were seated. We wanted a booth so we saw a ground manager and since there were a couple two person table free we asked if we could change. He said yes no problem. Con: our order was taken TEN minutes later. Drinks were served we waited for the straws another 7-10 mins just for straws, meanwhile sipping the margarita were melting away. Waitress took our order with out really listening. Ordered steak and ribs, I then noticed she didn't ask how cooked I was available to grab her attention and asked if she had down the steak part ( she didn't)she corrected it. We hardly saw our real waiter because she was covering him and then she disappeared. When we finished, We had to wait with our done plates approx. 15 mins instead of enjoying our drinks and talking with a nice table in front of us. Of course there were no intention of getting second drinks like that. Horrible just wanted to leave not to mention I was freezing because every time someone went in or out of the restaurant, the door wouldn't close well and the 5 hostess' and manager at door wouldn't budge to even consider closing it. I was disappointed when my honey half chicken came and it was covered in this tempura type batter.. Wtf?! I hope this change is only in this Fordham location and not the others, which I'm sure it has changed since it's a chain restaurant, but I truly hope not cause if that's the case, I'll never go to any bbqs again. What can I say, I love Dallas BBQ ribs. They make the best tasting, juicy, tangy short ribs I've ever eaten. But I must say I was a bit disappointed with this restaurant. I usually go to the one on 3rd Avenue in Manhattan, but since my daughter attends Fordham University I thought I'd treat her to lunch here. The place is ok, it looks just like the other Dallas BBQ restaurants, but the service left a lot to be desired. The waitress was rude, our food took a long time to come and it was not as tasty as those in Manhattan. Some may like this restaurant, I guess it's ok, but it's not as good as the one's in Manhattan.
