Absolutely adore this place! Found it on uber eats and loved the chicken sandwich. I've been ordering online forever and realized its actually not thay far from me! Came in today to check out the happy hour. Im very pleasantly surprised. The whole appetizer menu is 5 bucks; they have 4 dollar beer, cider, and hard seltzer. 5 dollar sangria. I nabbed a draft and three appetizers. The mac and cheese bites is the best and my favorite! They use gouda so there's a beautiful smokey flavor going on...if you like mac and cheese check this out!! I also ordered fried pickels and the corn bites. Both have good flavor. I love pickels so there that, the corn bites are really good. Showcasing all the corn in all its glory during peak time for such a thing. The sweetness is a nice surprise Service is very good. The regulars seem super friendly as well. Ambiance gives a very warm friendly vibe. Music at a good level, not too loud you have to yell to chat but comfortable for the single patron just enjoying the tunes. All in all...check it out. I went back to Last Call last night and had another great meal. They have a decently sized section for outdoor dining with tall heat lamps. Our server was wearing a mask, and also gloves - always appreciated. I think they also do delivery/pickup. This time we ordered their Pulled Pork Quesdilla and their Double Patty Cheeseburger with a Runny, Sunnyside Egg. Also ordered the Cubano cocktail - muddled limes, fresh mint leaves, and sugar shaken with Soju. The cocktail was very refreshing. The Quesdilla only came with a side of sour cream - I didn't really mind because it was flavorful. I think if you ask they'll give you guac for a separate charge. The Quesdilla was suuuppper cheesey (I love cheese so this was an A+ for me) and the pulled pork was very tender. Now the burger was my bf's order and he made the mistake of giving me a bite... I instantly fell in love with that burger, and upon insistence from my stubborn boo, happily finished it, haha. Haven't had a bad experience yet, the food is delicious and decently priced. I came here after getting my hair done nearby (Shout out to Flor at Antonio's salon!). The beer selection is decent but keep in mind they they don't have a full bar. It's just beers and wines. I like that it was a low key place and chill (it was a Saturday night in early October). The tacos are on flour tortillas and much smaller than your typical Mexican taco but I have to admit that they were tasty. The night before my graduation, I ended up leaving my backpack in here. I called about 30 mintues after closing to see if they found anything, and the guy on the phone said he hadn't. I was extremely worried because I had my wallet with my ID, vaccination card, and a lot of cash in my bag. I begged him to spare a minute and take a look for me because I was afraid someone stole my bag and I wouldn't be able to go to my graduation without the vaccination card. He repeatedly said he looked for it and couldn't find it, in an extremely condescending way. The next day, I went to go look for it and the waitress pulled my bag from right behind the counter! The guy closing up didn't bother looking for a bag and repeatedly lied, saying that he had looked everywhere and couldn't do anything to help me. To make matters worse, he was demeaning and condescending, saying things like "I don't think you understand honey," or "I can't help you sweetheart." I ended up shutting down my cards and worrying I wouldn't make it to graduation for an entire night because this guy didn't bother telling me they found my bag. To be fair, this is the first bad experience I had with staff at this restaurant, but I hope whoever goes here doesn't have to encounter this worker! I would give 0 stars if I could, because of how inconsiderate and irresponsible he was. Edit: I forgot to add, he also said he would CALL THE POLICE on us if we tried to enter the restaurant. To be clear, nothing I said even vaguely suggested I would break into the restaurant. I have no idea why he was threatening us. Great food and environment. It is the only bar/restaurant that is like this in the area with some of the selections it contains that is still quality. My only gripe is that this place is expensive for certain items but otherwise its a good place for groups. read more

This is the place to go for some good food, and drinks. The staff is friendly and give great suggestions. The menu offers a little bit of everything. There is something for everyone. I went here twice and both times were during covid. The outside seating area is comfy and cozy. There are outdoor heaters for those cold nights, and more than enough space to keep everyone spread out. Food arrived in a timely manner, and did not disappoint. I had the fully loaded tater tots (5/5), corn bites (5/5), fish taco, shrimp taco, and chicken taco (all 5/5). I also had one of their milkshakes. Amazing (5/5). I enjoy this establishment. New and modern, fresh view for Arthur Avenue and the students. However during happy hour, service is not the greatest. All waitresses take 20 minutes to come back to your table or be seen to call to your table. It's frustrating because it's like these avoiding fulfilling their own deals, which are fantastic! The food is great, wish they had more options other than mostly fried everything for starters. The QR code on the tables are all sorts of messed up. Assuming the establishment is understaffed due to COVID & it being a fairly new business, it wasn't an entirely bad experience. My friend and I arrived here to two parties seated having a blast. After sitting outside on their picnic-style benches, we ordered some pulled pork tacos which were pretty good but the mango salsa that came with it I could have done without. We ordered a pitcher of soda that never came and had to go fetch at the bar ourselves. Twas an unusual experience. When we left, the other two parties were still having a blast. read more

Visited Fordham for the first time with my son who will be starting this fall. Decided to grab a bite in the neighborhood and stopped here for dinner yesterday. The sunrise burger was nice, nothing special but solid for bar food and filling. I will say the service stood out, our server Kirsten was friendly excited to answer our questions about Fordham and the neighborhood, and very knowledgeable about the drink menu. My wife and I were surprised with our cocktails - a Tom Collins and her a Manhattan - expecting much less from a college hangout. Compared to the bars I frequented in college, this seems like a solid spot. read more

Last call is a place I've gone to for almost 2 years now. I have seen the bar completely renovated and upgraded as far as bar arrangement, decor, and serving staff. I would like to preface this by saying that i have 3 years of experience in the restaurant industry myself... Now I don't know if the two ladies (blonde and brunette) who work behind the bar/serve during the day are new or not, but I don't remember seeing them around before they renovated the place. None the less, they are horrible. They take every chance they get to sit on their phones with their backs turned to customers. They're extremely rude to engage with, going as far as rolling their eyes when you find a way to get their attention. If you go to Last Call to eat, the food will be great, but don't forget to order something because you'll have to get up yourself and ask one of the bartenders on their phones to help you get it. Whoever manages this place needs to get their servers in line and teach them how to treat customers. read more
