I attended a Yelp event at the Golden Corral and decided to go back to celebrate my daughter's birthday it seemed like the perfect place for her to try a little bit of everything. When I asked if she wanted to go to a buffet, she was all in! She had an amazing time definitely in her own little La La Land getting to fill her plate with whatever she wanted (and go back for more). The food was good and fresh, and even though it was busy, it didn't feel overwhelming. The service was excellent. We actually had two servers, both super attentive, and the entire staff came over to sing happy birthday to my daughter. They even brought her a slice of cake, which she happily topped with way too much ice cream but hey, it was her day! The overall atmosphere was great very family friendly and full of good energy. We even ended up chatting with a few other tables, most of whom were also celebrating birthdays. All in all, we had a great time. Golden Corral is definitely a fun, welcoming place for families and celebrations.

There is a free parking lot on site. Please beware that there may be a guy that does not work there that will direct your parking in exchange for a donation. I was able to use a coupon with no issues. The fried fish and buttered rolls are my favorite things to get.

First of all the staff are pretty great. Frankie was our server and he was nice and on top of things despite it being really really busy. The food is average buffet fare. To be honest I wasn't expecting much but they had a good variety the only thing missing was maybe Chinese option. The ambiance is basic the music was lumping and it seems people celebrate birthdays here a lot. I love buffets and servers make a world of a difference please remember to tip it was disgusting to see so many people literally sit and stuff their face ask for refills yet tip 0$ My kids enjoyed it we will be back maybe for breakfast or lunch

In November 2024, I visited this location as part of a Yelp Elite Event. I was absolutely sold on revisiting simply because the food was great and the culture of the restaurant seemed so uplifting and fun. Moreover, the management provided attendees with a coupon for 25% off our next visit. It was a no-brainer for me to return then. I decided to stop in on a Saturday evening after a movie in February. It was packed and there was also a private event happening but things seemed to be under control. After a brief wait on the line, I was seated. I was advised that there was a maximum of 90 minutes for dining (if I recall correctly) and asked to wait for my server before going up for food. Unfortunately, my table was dirty, so I was even more eager to see the server. She was super sweet and cleaned it immediately for me, then took my drink order. Soon after, I went up to see what the offerings were looking like. The selection is typical buffet fare however, there are some items like steak and jambalaya being prepared right at the buffet stations. Among my favorites, were the fried chicken (including the honey variety), stuffing, rolls, fried fish, and meatloaf. The condiments and cold salad bar were also pretty good. One thing I would avoid altogether is the mashed potatoes, they were very bland. At the time of my visit, they had a specialty item of jambalaya that I also did not like. To round out my meal, I decided to have dessert. I really like their dessert station. There's pretty much something for everyone - cupcakes, slices of cake, soft serve ice cream, and even cookies! I dived into a slice of vanilla cake and a side of vanilla ice cream, both were delicious! In terms of service, staff were kind and helpful. My server in particular was very sweet and attentive. There is just 1 thing I would suggest for improvement. The establishment has a number of signs around letting folks know to grab a new plate when they go up, but I don't think folks actually are aware. To my pleasure, I had a table right by one of the entrances to the food area, so I saw quite a bit. I saw at least 3 people go up with what I believe were used plates from their table to grab food. That is a recipe for food borne illness. Now I know it may not always be feasible to have staff around to watch people but I think it would be very helpful to give customers a sort of orientation when they are seated. In addition to letting them know they have 90 minutes, let them know about the rules regarding plates. Other than that, things were great. Overall, I'm appreciative of the service and I had a great experience. I'll definitely be returning and I would highly recommend to others.

This establishment has parking ( this is a plus). The greeting was welcoming and respectful. The waiter were very nice and we were seated fast. The ambiance was calm and smooth. The food selection was amazing, lots of food choices, everything was hot and clean. The waiter was very attentive. I would recommend this restaurant.

My sister dragged me all the way from Brooklyn to the Bronx to try Golden Corral. So when you come in you'll order what you want including drinks before sitting. Pay first then eat. I found the prices to be reasonable. They do have alcoholic drinks, which surprised me. My sister and I got frozen drinks that could've been skipped. After you pay them you are seated. It was a Sunday afternoon and we were seated right away. Once seated you can head to the buffet. Whatever drinks ordered will be brought to the table. Cuisine is southern American. There was a fair selection of items and I was definitely full by the end. I wasn't impressed by the dessert options but the ice cream was good. You have given a 90 minute time limit and the place a card on the table that states the time you need to leave. Would I drive an hour to come here again, no, but if I was already in the area I wouldn't mind stopping here.

We have been coming to this Golden Corral since it first opened around C-19 days, and somehow this is my first review! From first coming when I was pregnant with our son to now visiting with our son and daughter (toddlers) GC has actually becoming part of our journey as a family in many ways. Although we don't come super often, whenever we do our experience is always a solid one with great customer service from both the hosts and the servers. Everyone is always very pleasant and has a smile on their faces, which makes a difference and probably one of the reasons we frequent this establishment. Golden Corral is known for their assortment of food with lots of options for everyone. The quality is also on par with what you'd expect at a buffet and I've never encountered any issues. There is definitely bang for your buck (especially if you're coming as a hungry group/family lol) and I'd recommend them wholeheartedly. Although people often have a lot to say about the Bronx (I used to be one of them, lol) you will always find a friendly, neighborhood vibe here, with quality food, and great service. FYI: There are also changing tables in both men and women's restrooms (which I LOVE!)

I'm really surprised that they gave us the time of an hour to eat. They open the doors at four and they're saying that we have to be out by 5:40 that's Ludacris. There's a lot of disabled veterans veterans from all over the world here thank you for acknowledging them but the time thing got to me. At night it's dark over there and there is parking over there in the front of the place. The food wasn't all that great tasting. The service was ok. It was very busy they had their hands full. They worked it out. I guess they were there just to eat not party. I believe it was a celebration.

Frozen margarita. For like $2 extra got the peach & mango mixed.

There are some dedicated parking spaces that have a three hour limit if dining. Upon arrival, I entered the inside restaurant space for Dakota's on the Grove. It was aesthetically pleasing. I should have sat inside here instead of in their outdoor space which they call The Grove at Dakota's. I was able to choose where I wanted to sit, so I chose a table near this shed where the bartender/waiter was. I noticed they were setting up for the Knicks Game 3 final and there were two large TVs and a projection screen. I overheard the waiter state that the area would be packed for the game tonight. There was also good music playing throughout. They had a large connect four, which would be nice to play. They are family friendly and had high chairs for babies and toddlers. When sitting outside they state that they have to preauthorize your card. Now getting onto the food. I was seated and provided with two menus. I immediately asked for a happy hour menu and then I waited for about 15 minutes, until I followed up with another waiter who brought out the menu for me. For the happy hour menu before I received my food I initially thought the prices were good, but upon receiving my food it was evident that the prices are off in terms of the portion size of the food. I ordered a $5 slider. I thought it would be a decent size. It was incredibly small. For the $5 price they should give at minimum 2 sliders but ideally 3. This would incentivize people to buy more. The slider was the best thing I tasted while there and I would have liked more but I couldn't justify spending another $5 when it was so tiny. The tiny slider appeared to be the portion size for a toddler. I ordered calamari which was $9. I was initially disappointed that there was such a small amount. I was even more disappointed when I tasted them. They tasted very "fishy." They absolutely needed a squeeze of lemon and fresh cracked black pepper to try and balance and mask the taste. I believe the portion size for the fries was also off for $5. The fries came in a teacup. Fries are something that people tend to order to have something to pick at while dining and it would make sense I think to provide more fries for the same price. I also could not justify getting another set of fries in a small teacup for $5. I did not like the taste of the fries. When the sparse calamari, tiny beef slider, and small teacup of fries came out, I realized I would not be full and ordered chicken wings from the happy hour menu. You have to get a minimum of 6. You cannot mix the flavors. They were out of the dockside fire sauce so I went with the garlic parm. These wings did not taste like garlic parm. The garlic parm seemed like an afterthought, which was just sprinkled on the wings at the very end. The chicken itself did not have much flavor. They did not mention providing any dipping sauce. I asked for blue cheese and I had to wait for about ten minutes and then remind another waiter that I was still waiting for my blue cheese. They were out of the mozzarella sticks. Moving onto the drinks. While I get being outside and maybe wanting to serve drinks in plastic to minimize glassware breaking, I did not enjoy being served Pinot Noir in a plastic cup or the white cranberry lemon drop in a plastic cup. Each time I was taken aback that they weren't offered in glassware. I got the $7 Pinot Noir from the happy hour menu. A regular glass of Pinot Noir is $9. I also ordered the white cranberry lemon drop which is priced at $12 and is not included on the happy hour menu. The drink came out in the same sized small plastic cup as the Pinot Noir. I think once again that glassware should be used. When ordering a lemon drop you tend to expect a chilled frosty glass with a sugar rim, and that was not what I received here. I think the sugar rim would have elevated the taste profile of the drink. All in all, I really liked the outdoor area. I would probably only return to get a canned beer in the outside section. I hope they start to carry some sour beer options. I do not see myself trying the food again, with the exception of a burger (since the burger was really good.) I did have an inquiry regarding the pre-authorization charge and the final charge that I saw on my credit card. I called and left a message and the restaurant got back to me quickly, which I really appreciated.

The service and food, on the other hand, were quite a mixed bag. We ordered a margherita pizza, pancake tacos, steak and eggs, and French toast with a side of sausage--the pizza, at least, was good. However, the "French toast" was more like an anemic panini press trying to pass as French toast. The steak and eggs comprised of a fairly well-cooked (that is, it was the right temperature) yet underseasoned steak of a relatively dubious cut, underseasoned home fries, and eggs done wrong (sunny side instead of over easy). The lattermost was the start of the problem, as I was willing to give it a shot, but found the texture off-putting. In light of this, I brought the problem to our server Adalia, who brought it to her manager Elvia. Thankfully I had someone else with me to tell me what happened: Elvia came over without addressing me on their error, silently took a look at my plate and instructed Adalia to have the kitchen put the eggs back on the fire. She takes my plate to extract the eggs, and brings them back (unsurprisingly) completely overdone, first in Elvia's hands, then in Adalia's for her to serve; we send for a refire, and they come back correct 7 minutes or so after I've already finished eating. Considering the hassle it took to get them, I couldn't trust it enough to eat, leading them to waste as well. After all was said and done, the GM Amer comes over to see how things were, and was thankfully helpful and understanding of our situation. Here's the rub: I was initially willing to overlook the steak, the home fries, and even the eggs if the error was properly ameliorated. Adalia and Amer both did very well, and I'm grateful for them for that; Elvia, on the other hand, managed to break the chain of competent customer service by directing the server to handle the problem in a way that was set up for failure (if you mess up an egg, it's an immediate refire because of how the egg cooks in the first place -- Amer also arrested to that policy) all without addressing us and taking accountability, due to negligence or whatever else. Not only that, but when sending the incorrect eggs over the second time, she couldn't even bring it to us herself--it would have been easy, seeing as she was the one that originally had them--and left Adalia and her tip to potentially take the fire if the patrons happen to be angry. Mistakes are fine--everyone makes them--but I'd describe this as cowardly more than anything else, and I take issue with that in particular from a leadership standpoint. While Amer graciously extended an invitation for a better experience next time, I can't say I'll be taking him up on the offer when their service and food are this misaligned; unfortunately, a disappointment overall.

I love being able to recommend a steakhouse that dry ages its own meats right here in the neighborhood. Yesterday, we were a bit pressed for time, so we ordered the lamb chops, skirt steak, and, of course, a nice bottle of wine. Everything was fantastic. The lamb chops were phenomenal, easily among the best I've had at any restaurant. They were incredibly flavorful, tender, and cooked to perfection. I'm usually not someone who enjoys eating the fat on meat, but the fat on these chops was rendered so beautifully that I found myself eating every bite. There wasn't a single chewy or unpleasant piece. I normally order the porterhouse or ribeye, but the skirt steak was an excellent choice when I wanted something leaner and quicker to enjoy without sacrificing flavor. The fried potato salad is another standout. It's a unique side that's absolutely worth ordering. And then there's the peppercorn sauce served with the lamb chops. It's a total mic drop. I honestly can't put into words how good it is. I found myself dipping everything in it (even my fingers ). It's that delicious!
