Let me start with the not so good - I didn't specifically feel welcomed. I was watched from afar until I hunted someone down to discuss an item. For reference, there were more employees there than customers. Once I was able to get an employee to help, it didn't feel like he wanted to make a sale. I basically had to sell myself on the bag. The neutral - You have to ring a bell to be let in. I guess it makes sense, since the products are generally open to customers. This does prevent theft. But it still made me feel a little off... but overall I get it. The good - There was a huge selection and they had a range of pieces from all luxury designers. The piece I selected I have seen on other resale markets and I have determined I got a great deal. My bag has been available elsewhere for $200-300 more than what I paid for it. I came in to sell a random bag that I bought on a whim (fellas, don't ever buy a man bag without your woman's opinion, you will do LOTS of wrong on many levels to many people, including yourself!). The staff was super helpful. It does get busy so make an appointment or you may be stuck waiting over an hour to get some help. I did NOT make an appointment (rookie move) and did end up having to come back about an hour later. All good though. When I did return, I was promptly seen and had a great experience. I liked it so much so that I ended up just asking for store credit and bought another bag! Oh well. So much for going here to make $ by selling a bag. I did do that but then I spent like 5x that trade in price on a new item. I guess I did kind of get paid bc I got such a great deal on the new bag? I am disappointed to have to write this review because the sales professionals my friend and I have worked with are wonderful people. However, this review is necessary because "corporate" or the general manager (whichever party is responsible for this terrible experience) should review how they deal with customer returns/exchanges for items purchased online that meet the requirements of the return policy. My friend made over $8,000 in purchases (e.g., approx.12 items) over a 3-week period and exercised the return policy on 3 online purchases. Our first visit to the store was fabulous and we shopped almost two hours, spending almost $5K on several bags. The following week, she saw a lovely bag online and purchased it. The bag arrived and she immediately realized that it wasn't a good fit and she opted to return it. Instead of asking for a refund, she simply exchanged it and used the funds to purchase more merchandise. The following week, my friend returned to DDH to purchase another bag for almost $2,000K. Needless to say, everyone (including the GM) was all smiles during that visit. Yes, she officially has the bag bug. Here's where things went off the rails... A few days later, she purchased 2 bags online, and purchased them days apart. Unfortunately, these bags were too small and she decided to return them. Be aware that there is no store policy that limits or prohibits the return of online purchases. She visited today to exchange those 2 bags, and rather than ask for a refund which is within the store's policy, she requested a store credit and used the funds to purchase 2 more bags - spending considerably more than the exchange amount. Before she checked out, the general manager called both employees to the back room to advise them that corporate has "flagged" my friend for returns. Ok, just to summarize: she purchased 12 bags and exchanged 3, and spent more money each time. The store never refunded a dime back to her, which is any small business owner's dream. Apparently, DDH was unhappy that they paid $60 for UPS shipping for the online purchases that were later returned. Their shipping costs were $180 to ship 3 bags. The general manager made the employees deliver the unkind message that doesn't align with their documented return policy. My friend did nothing wrong and was kind, even after she was informed that she could no longer make returns. She could have asked for a refund to her credit card and walked out. She could have brought back $8K worth of bags for a 70% buy back, but she's not petty and, of course, she is satisfied with her purchases - except for the 3 bags she returned. She didn't go outside of the boundaries of the policy in ANY way. Shipping fees are part of the cost of doing business, and unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase, the store is expected to honor their policy without throwing curveballs. However, DDH made her feel like a criminal and banned her from any more returns. We don't feel this was handled professionally or fairly. If the store has a problem with online returns, they should let customers know that BEFORE purchasing online, and not blackball them afterward. I don't think purchasing 12 items and exchanging 3 is excessive. I don't think she will return to DDH. She walked out of the store feeling very unappreciated and much like a criminal. Buying expensive handbags is a luxury that she can afford, but there is no amount of savings that will make her feel good about being banned from making a future returns that are within the store policy. Caveat emptor=buyer beware. Just beware. read more

That said, it's mostly a sea of Louis Vuitton in generally good shape. Con What was extremely off putting is over hearing someone try to get a purse appraised. I heard the lady at the counter say, "we already have one of these. I think they're going to pass on it." The appraiser walks closer to me while on the phone and says, "I just sent you something you need to pass on". Why not just say that upfront. Hit or miss, I bought a LV bag that had a smell. She said it was in storage for a while and to just air it out. My fault, I shouldn't have bought it. I do think that they shouldn't say "air it out and the smell will go away". They should say it may not come out, and that's a risk you take if you buy it today and reiterate the refund/exchange policies. Allow me to transport all y'all back to a time just a couple of weeks ago when we could leave our homes with impunity and enter a store to touch items that other people may have touched and not had to scrub up to our elbows like a surgeon before, during and after... As I was exiting the Starbucks drive thru, there before me stood Dallas Designer Handbags in all of its sparkling brand new glory - in a shopping center where the most luxurious store was once the Saks Outlet (not hating, I love that place!) I'm not big on pre owned luxury because there isn't much of a deal to be had for something that's already been broken in by someone else, but DDH has a ton of inventory that's unused or certainly looks it. They rate the items for sale from A-D depending on condition. I had been looking for a big weekend bag and after I couldn't find a Goyard in the proper color scheme I noticed they have a big selection of LV Neverfull models in the store, even the Jeff Koons Da Vinci at a great price now that the hype has diminished (remember when Kanye bought one for Kim?). The staff is super friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful without hovering or being pushy!
