Yelp 100 Challenge 2023 #83 2nd Street Frisco is an upscale 2nd hand store that offers gently used name brand clothing and shoes. This is not your typical 2nd hand store and items are organized all throughout the stores. This location has purses, jewelry, shoes, dresses, pants, shirts etc. I was impressed with the amount of items within the store and their great condition. Prices are reasonable and they also buy items from you depending on their condition.

I have visited this store 6 times since they opened. On Friday May 28th, we arrived at 7:30. At 7:35 a guy starts yelling "the store will close in 10 minutes and you need to bring your things to the front!!! At 7:40 he starts yelling again "The store is closing now" and standing next to the door where he is eyeing everyone in a sort of a hurry up way. I ask him if they close at 7:45, because online it says 8pm, and he tells me that, they get everyone out early to "start closing". Uhm OK? So I say interesting, maybe y'all need to change the time, so people don't waste their time coming in thinking they have 30 min to shop. People start to leave and we decided go to the register with only one thing, even though we were shopping for a couple of outfits, and we checked out @7:46. We walk out to our car and the big dude runs to a car next to ours and leaves before us! It's 7:50. So there it is, the dude needed to leave early on a Friday night, and rushed everyone to do that. This store is amazing you can get a $1500 LV bag or a $5 vintage sweater. There's something for everyone and every budget, employees are nice. BUT be aware that even if they say they buy until 7pm, and you show up at 5pm -after calling from the parking lot, before hauling 3 bags of clothes inside. and they tell you "yes, we are buying", they might change their minds in the time it takes to walk 30 feet. The store also pays very low for items, I brought a new without tags D&B wristlet and they offer me $1 but they intended to sell it for $16, a NWT MK belt offered $6 to sell at $20, I get they need to turn a profit but their margins exceeded 100% in the printed offer they gave me, where they also include the sales floor price. To sum it up, great store, amazing inventory, nice employees, low ballers for buying your stuff, and a joke on everything related to time.

I visited again in January 2026 to…read morereturn one $90 pair of slacks of which I inadvertently purchased forgetting that I had an identical pair already at home. As soon as I entered the store with a small MW bag in hand containing the pants, this gangly, Hispanic woman - mid-50s, short hair with glasses - rushes to the door loudly asking me why am I returning an item and why had I chosen "her" store. I responded to her that I was returning the item, because I could - for one - and secondly, I had originally purchased the item at this store. She continued with her complaints about the return and how she gets tired of people returning items to "her" store, "just because it is the largest in the area and makes the most money". What kind of halfway intelligent person makes such a scene at the front of a store before they even know what was being returned, if the customer preferred an exchange or even wanted to pick up something new during the visit? I guess that Mens Wearhouse doesn't train their employees to understand that if a customer needs to return an item, unused, tags still intact, with the original receipt in hand, they shouldn't be met with obnoxious, unprofessional behavior by a clown masquerading as a responsible professional retailer. Again, I spent $1000 at this store during my December 2025 visit, so a simple return of approximately $90 from the same $1000 transaction should have been handled efficiently and professionally. Just because the customers are buying off the rack at Mens Wearhouse, it shouldn't mean that it is acceptable for the customer service there to be on par with what one might experience at the flea market in a third world country. If you're in Frisco, skip this store, and try ISW, Jos.A.Bank, or elsewhere in Stonebriar Mall - it's better to pay a little more, and actually receive an acceptable level of customer service from quality people.

As far as Lands' End clothing goes, I sort of "Grew Up" in the midst of a massive fight against the average stores, J.C. Penny, Sears & Roebuck, Inc., all competing with the other vendors, who are vying for a share of the market. Land's' End created value for consumers by using direct mail and the internet sealed the deal. Cheers. Mark C. Fearing, Ph.D.

Swim suit statements relative to retaining color is debatable. I wore a dark purple and hot pink…read moretankini top that faded significantly. For about a year, I participated in aquatic exercises in an indoor pool 2 x week for about an hour each session. I faithfully washed the suit using mild soap right after taking it off and hung it to dry indoors. When I took it back to the store to show them how seriously bad it faded, I was given $20.00. That was an extremely low reimbursement for such an expensive top. I now have (purchased 6 months ago) a black & white striped tankini top I purchased inexpensively from Kohls that is retaining the colors as when first worn. Do not pay exorbitant amounts of money for Lands End swimwear.
