In reviewing the other comments, collectively I would agree with the others. Great summary. To add: as the turn over appears high. Employees are never the same, new ones are inexperienced and do not know fashion or how to price, policies change , the company claims to buy all seasons all year round but depending on who is buying that is not the case. The customer service is not good ,the employees appear stuck up, more frowns than smiles as if they do not want to be at work . If you are looking to sell good luck, they are extremely slow so after 5 hours of waiting you may get a call to come pick up your bag because they couldnt get to it. read more

It's a good place to find a random designer find but if you were looking to sell items, you might make $1.50 per item. It's not necessarily worth your time unless they take absolutely everything you bring in. The employees were very, very nice and helpful! The process of selling items was super easy. The store is very clean and tidy, but the clothes are not organized by size making it a little difficult to go right to your size and browse. I'm not one to go out of my way to review this but I believe this needs to be said. I've come here multiple times over the past 10-12 months. I use to sell vintage clothing and offload alot of my stuff here. In the beginning they've felt fair , I don't expect 80-90% but at-least reasonable pricing. It was good margins for my higher end vintage. It felt fair, 175-200$ jackets they buy for 35$-45$. The last two times it's been nothing like this. All tshirts (some worth 300$) lotted up for 5$ , 7$ , 8$ price points. The "unique " items don't exceed 20$. Some I understand but others aren't getting throughly priced. In the past it felt like i was dealing with the managers or more seasoned employees. Now i don't believe so. In the itemized receipt i have about five 100-300$ shirts asking 5-8$ when before I've brought cheaper shirts worth 50$-70$ that I received 10$ for. 200$ (average sales and sold comps) Ungrateful dead shorts got priced for 6$. That's 3% ! That's insane. When seeing the clerk I told him we are too far off. He was frustrated which I get and let me know they don't move vintage as well as other things. Understandable just not at the price points. He did ask me what I wanted for everything , I told him I'll take this else where just cause we were too far off. I do understand his frustration but it took him 20 minutes to price out my 37 items. Which means to me time wasn't taken to actually look at the value of the higher valued items. I had some lower value items mark and detailed as "unique" items , while some expensive shirts were grouped up in "men's shirts" I hope this changes. The beginning experiences I had with these guys made me want to come back again and again. A few times the guys even showed me where they got price points from and explained their process , which I really appreciated. I hope this reaches the right people and this gets fixed. I know there can't be an exact training for these kind of things. But when I use to get offered 25%-30% and now it's 1%-10% it's insulting. I don't think they are trying to pull one over on me, but it just feels like it's unseasoned individuals estimating my order and not taking time to price out what's in front of them. No hate or negativity to the individuals. Business is business and I'd love to come back for future estimates. read more

I have visited this store 6 times since they opened. On Friday May 28th, we arrived at 7:30. At 7:35 a guy starts yelling "the store will close in 10 minutes and you need to bring your things to the front!!! At 7:40 he starts yelling again "The store is closing now" and standing next to the door where he is eyeing everyone in a sort of a hurry up way. I ask him if they close at 7:45, because online it says 8pm, and he tells me that, they get everyone out early to "start closing". Uhm OK? So I say interesting, maybe y'all need to change the time, so people don't waste their time coming in thinking they have 30 min to shop. People start to leave and we decided go to the register with only one thing, even though we were shopping for a couple of outfits, and we checked out @7:46. We walk out to our car and the big dude runs to a car next to ours and leaves before us! It's 7:50. So there it is, the dude needed to leave early on a Friday night, and rushed everyone to do that. This store is amazing you can get a $1500 LV bag or a $5 vintage sweater. There's something for everyone and every budget, employees are nice. BUT be aware that even if they say they buy until 7pm, and you show up at 5pm -after calling from the parking lot, before hauling 3 bags of clothes inside. and they tell you "yes, we are buying", they might change their minds in the time it takes to walk 30 feet. The store also pays very low for items, I brought a new without tags D&B wristlet and they offer me $1 but they intended to sell it for $16, a NWT MK belt offered $6 to sell at $20, I get they need to turn a profit but their margins exceeded 100% in the printed offer they gave me, where they also include the sales floor price. To sum it up, great store, amazing inventory, nice employees, low ballers for buying your stuff, and a joke on everything related to time. read more

They have a great selection of designer and on trend clothing, designer bags, shoes, and street wear. Prices are also pretty decent, not the cheapest you'll find but not too pricey as well. Talk about feeling like a kid in a dang candy store!! If you don't mind some vintage luxury/consignment, you need to come here. Buy and sell all the fabulous goodies. All kinds of amazingness that it feels like a treasure chest of sorts. I legitimately stumbled on this spot after doing some shopping in the area. It appears to be a newer-ish location but they also have a location in Deep Ellum. The clothes are all mostly gently used but they have clothing, handbags, luggage accessories etc. Everything is designer/name brand women and men's items. They have LV bags, Dolce & Gabbana, Coach, Kate Spade, Chanel bags!! The higher end luxury is locked up in cases so check up front if you want to get a closer look. I actually was so impressed I came twice in one week, both days they had different things to look at. I saw a ton of Kate Spade bags specifically, so if she's your girl you need to come here and snatch 'em up! Before they are gone because this best kept secret is a secret no more. First of all, it's a thrift store. It's nestled in between big names box stores, but if you thrift, then you'll see there are some great finds to be found. I've been a couple of times. With regards to selling stuff, if you're looking for $$$ then sell on marketplace or similar social media group. If you're cleaning out your closet and it's more about getting stuff rehoused, bring it in. I have found two pairs of pants, miu miu sneakers, a Kate spade clutch and a funky canvas bag. In all I haven't spent more than $100 in total. The front section is women's and the back 1/2 is men's. You've got to dig and you have to know how to spot gems if you want the most out of your shopping experience. I only removed one star because they don't size stuff well, so you really have to hunt. I have been to many locations of 2nd street before but by far this has been the worst one. The selection is decent but is nothing compared to other locations. Most of the people I interacted with were not very friendly. So all in all they have good stuff but I'd rather go to other locations where employees are friendly and selection is way better. read more

Please tell me if this is theft. So the first time i went in to sell my clothes , i brought in 3 bags & was offered more than anywhere else i had been like plato's closet. The items they didn't want were given back & i went about my day knowing i would definitely come back again to shop & sell. However the second time i went to sell last weekend , i was completely blindsided when they offered me $10 for a bag full of urban outfitters, nike, champion, just name brand, good condition clothing that's still in style & advertised as to what they are looking for on the website. I understand that they may have already had a large volume of what i was offering & that's totally fine but when i was checking out , i asked for the clothes they didn't want to purchase back & was told no. The girl at the register told me since i accepted their offer for 3 of my items that i was no longer entitled to any of the items i brought & they were to be donated. This is obviously the complete opposite of my previous experience & when i told her that she said "well i'm not sure what else to tell you". I left the store visibly upset & am now out about $200 in name brand clothing i could've & should've sold myself. I will NOT be returning here & have told multiple people about the situation in which, they agree it's no longer a store they want to support/shop at. read more

I am not a huge consigner but, I've sold in past to Plato's, local store called Clotheshorse Anonymous which is more high end items off Preston. 2nd Street is more for teens. I did not see any clothes interesting, but maybe for the boys ok. In all fairness, the bags in the cases had a few name brands like LV for $500 each. I personally prefer to buy my name brand bags new & rarely re sell. I had an offer online for some of my Coach bags, so I decided to take them to 2nd Street. First girl was helpful. The one that took my items, was ok but she did not ask me if I had been in before. There were several bags fairly new that were purchased at $300. She did not take too long to look over my items. I was offered $89 for everything? I thought she was joking. I had a personal buyer offer me almost that for each, so of course had to pass. They don't seem knowledgeable of high end brand names & their pricing. You never know who someone knows. I won't be back as a seller or a buyer. If you have high end items, my best advice is to check out Clotheshorse Anonymous on Preston who have been in business for years. read more
