OK, so this is my fourth update regarding my incredibly horrible experience with Dallas Dodge. To read them all you must scroll down to the "other reviews not currently recommended" section. As I noted in a prior review, Yelp has an electronic filter which removes reviews if the reviewer has only posted a couple, good or bad, anywhere on Yelp. Dallas Dodge is my only review, therefore Yelp does not consider it in its ratings. Backing up, I'm the guy with the white Challenger with the blue stripes that have oxidized beyond repair in just 12-months. My horrible experience now includes the Head of Customer Experience for Chrysler and its lack of response to my complaint. After Dallas Dodge refused to replace my defective stripes I called Chrysler's consumer support line. Following our discussions the operator on the support line took the dealerships position and refused to intervene. I could sense the operator supported my position, it was almost as though they're trained to calmly address a situation before issuing its denial. By Chrysler/Dodge issuing its denial, I sense the auto maker believes the consumer might associate the operators comforting words thinking of them more as an arbitrator, not a Chrysler employee, therefore more likely to accept their claim denial. I did not accept it. I stressed dissatisfaction and I could sense the call center rep agreed with me. Regardless, without skipping a beat she said I should write a letter to the Head of Chrysler's Customer Experience division, Richard Thornton. She had Mr. Thornton's physical address ready at hand as though she has offered this many times to others who have had valid complaints with Chrysler's inability to support its customers. On june 10 I wrote my first letter to Mr. Thornton, I followed the letter with a second on June 11. Hours after mailing my first letter, the Dallas Dodge Service Manager called me screaming at me regarding the negative survey I had completed on my visit where I was painfully honest regarding the lack of support I had received from Dallas Dodge's service department. This call had nothing to do with my letter, only that it came on the heels of my mailing that first letter. (I detail this conversation in a previous review that you can find below. The second letter detailed this call. Both letters were mailed three weeks ago and as of today, I have not heard back from Mr. Thornton. I am assuming one of two things, the Chrysler environment of horrible customer service comes from the top or secondly, Mr. Thornton has so many written complaints on his desk, the backlog is great and he hasn't had the opportunity to respond, or even review my complaint. I honestly believe the latter is more realistic. Think about it, if the latter is true, how many dissatisfied customers Chrysler/Dodge has from the likes of dealerships like Dallas Dodge, that they cannot respond to their concerned customers in a timely manner. For me, this alone speaks volumes to the problems plaguing this auto maker. If I hear back from Mr. Thornton, I will be sure to update his response on Yelp. In addition, Following more than a week of hearing my concerns, the Comptroller for Dallas Dodge finally answered me by way of one of my posts on Yelp. In his answer, Jason Allmon apologized to me and asked that I contact his GM Jon Headrick and Jon would make sure they replace my stripes. Upon reading Jason's note I followed up with Jon. Jon told me he was unaware of Jason's reply to me and that Jason had not told him that he offered to fix my stripes. The dealerships arrogance kicked in yet again, you can read the detail in one of my previous posts. I told Jon I was willing to take my car to the detailer Dallas Dodge had contracted with that originally did the striping, he refused and said I must take it to Dallas Dodge or he was done with me. I called Jason to discuss, after all I had only seen his response on Yelp, that was our only communication. I called him several times leaving messages and he too has yet to call me back. That was two weeks ago. All this over repairing stripes on a $30,000 car that oxidized in just 12-months. In the end, this is information for you. I hope you use this information in your decision making. I and others have taken the time to detail our experience with Dallas Dodge, this doesn't help me, it can only help you. If you decide to purchase from Dallas Dodge and end up having an issue with your vehicle, I'm sure I'll read about it here on Yelp... I'm sure it will end with "I wish I would have listened to the reviews before mine." The best advice I can offer, read reviews carefully and choose your dealership through its reviews. They won't all be great but if you read them all you can certainly weed out a number of them, especially if you see common themes. So my third update on Dallas Dodge. I have two reviews on Yelp that are in Yelp's "not recommended" section. They are the first reviews I have posted on Yelp and apparently Yelp has a filter system that deletes initial reviews until I guess the system believes you're a seasoned critic. So the Comptroller of Dallas Dodge answers my second review by apologizing and asking me to contact his GM, Jon Hedrick and they will agree to replace my stripes. ((I pinch myself and ask is this real? why the change of heart? Not sure but I'm willing to dip my toe in the water.)) Per Jason's recommendation I call Jon, it's Tuesday 6/16/15, we play phone tag. Jon reaches me on his second attempt, Wednesday morning. He sounds surprised that I called him. I begin by telling Jon that a Jason A. has communicated to me that you are willing to repair my stripes at no cost to me. Jon pauses and says "Jason.... I have a Comptroller Jason Allmon... I don't know about his offer to you... but at this point" I have to do something......... (And so it begins yet again...the tone of this call is off to a shaky start.) ....Jason says his marketing manager tells him that I have destroyed him on social media, (the conversation begins going downhill) He says I destroyed him in my response to Chrysler's survey, (Conversation quickly spiraling out of control), and on top of that he says that I'm threatening to sue the dealership. (the wreck is now imminent) Jon completes his thought by adding that because of all of this he just wants it to go away, he just want's to make me happy. (Crash and burn... The question now becomes can this conversation and their attempt at resolution be resuscitated?) Remember, this is the GM... not a lower ranking employee... and he's speaking with one of his customers. So Jon is unaware of Jason's offer to replace my cars stripes... and is more concerned wit how poorly he says I've been treating them. He says he was unaware of just how concerned I am until just recently... really? He just echoed, almost verbatim, what the service manager had said to me last week but unlike the service manager, Jon wasn't yelling. Remember, all I want is to have my cars stripes replaced, stripes that have failed in just 12-months. That's all I've wanted and look at what all has transpired. Later in this conversation Jon puts the blame back on me.. He says acid rain discolored my stripes. First it was a parking garage, then it was parking under a tree, followed by the detergent I used... now it's acid rain. Remember, I asked for cleaning instructions for the stripes when they blamed the detergent. They don't have cleaning instructions, now it's acid rain. The call lingered nearly 10 minutes. I tell Jon I will take my car to the detailer and pick it up, just tell me where to go. He says he doesn't know who the detailer is, he adds for all he knows it's a mobile detailer who travels from appointment to appointment... he will find out from his body shop. Really!! The picture is becoming clearer as to why they don't warranty the stripes... one, they probably can't find the person, or.. even if they can... did they use a reputable company or some cut rate group with an inferior product... it's all coming together. I said I don't care where I need to go, tell me who it is and where to meet them and I'll take my car, Jon says he'll get back with me. Within five minutes Jon calls me and says I can bring my car in next Thursday and leave it with his dealership all day. I said no, I will take it to the detailer, tell me where to go and who it is. At this point Jon becomes angry and says bring it here or I'm done with you. I told him after all I've gone through with Dallas Dodge during this process, I don't trust him and I don't want to leave my car at his dealership. He said that's your choice. In the end, by writing these reviews, I want you, the consumer, to see what others like you have gone through. If you ultimately choose to spend money there and they fail to meet the minimal level of expectation, you will have culpability in the transaction. I feel as though I have culpability as there were many negative reviews about Dallas Dodge, especially their service department, that preceded mine, I just didn't take the time to read them. I can only recommend to you that you stay away from this dealership... even if it means driving great distances to find a reputable dealership. In the end, I love my Challenger, but even Chrysler's corporate consumer group sided with Dallas Dodge... only to have Dallas Dodge make me feel as if they've been victimized by me and then reluctantly agree to replace my stripes. If they're not wrong, why would they ultimately decide to replace them? Is it because I threatened small claims and they know they're wrong? I'm 50 years old, I've bought many cars through the years, and Dallas Dodge is the WORST!! STAY AWAY!! read more

I purchased a Dodge Challenger in May 2014, white with blue stripes. In a matter of months the stripes began to oxidize, now 12-months later, they look awful. The car itself looks brand new, the stripes have oxidized so much, even the service tech agreed it was not acceptable... their final resolution, they understand my frustration, and while not acceptable, they as the dealership are not responsible. The dealership kept my car for three days. On day two they said that it was a third party that had striped the car and that the dealership itself was not responsible. I countered that it was the dealership who contracted with the detailer, not me, and that the dealership is responsible, they disagreed. After further discussion the tech, Terrell, said he would inspect my car, again, this is day two. I wasn't sure if he hadn't looked at it previously or if he just wanted to see it again. Our next discussion Terrell told me that the stripes were not acceptable, that he agreed they needed to be replaced. Initially it was the dealership's body shop that had said they would not warranty the stripes on the car they sold me, but now Terrell said he would take care of it and have the detailer inspect it themselves the next day, day three. After not hearing from Terrell on day 3, I called him only to have Terrell tell me that that neither the dealership nor the detailer would warranty the stripes. Terrell apparently had a change of heart in less than 24-hours. He did say they would replace the stripes at a discounted rate, but would not warranty them. This was confusing to me, it's not the dealerships fault, nor is it the detailers fault, but they're willing to discount the replacement of the stripes. I arrived at the dealership at 4:00 on Friday June 6, 2015. I asked the receptionist to speak with the GM, Jon Hedrich??sp. She walked back to what appeared to be his office, I could see her talking and she returned to tell me he had left for the weekend. I asked to speak with the owner, Mr. Gil. She informed me he too was gone and it would be Monday earliest before they would be returning my call. Before I arrived at the dealership, and after I learned from Terrell they would not warranty the stripes, I d hacalled the Dodge/Chrysler consumer hot line... 800-423-6343 and described my concern. The rep was very understanding and asked if he could put me on hold so he could call Terrell and discuss with him. After being on hold for 15 minutes, the rep returned only to restate what Terrell had told me adding he was sorry that there was nothing more that he could do. He said Terrell explained that it was most likely a detergent that had been used to wash the car that caused the discoloration and that it was my responsibility for not using the correct detergent.. really, I could not make this stuff up. I said great, please forward the washing instructions to me on how to maintain these stripes, which there was silence. Following the uncomfortable period of silence I said don't bother. It's amazing how eager a dealership is to sell you are car and how overly unsupportive they after the sale. If anyone reading this note purchases anything from Dallas Dodge in Dallas, Georgia, well... enough said. As I explained to Terrell walking out the door, if I have this car another week, it will be a week too long. I will be reading up on dealerships, and will pick a dealership from it's positive reviews, this is where I will trade my Challenger and move on. I don't even know what I'm going to buy... only that what I purchase will be purchased from a reputable dealership. It's unfortunate, I like the car... but why would I want to support a brand when the brand itself does not support you. Stay away from Dallas Dodge in Dallas, Georgia. Read less read more

I just had one of the most disturbing phone calls from the Sales Manager of Dallas Dodge in Dallas, GA. I had written an earlier complaint regarding my stripes on Yelp, which for some reason Yelp declined to use in its ratings. I'm not sure if I did not follow the rules or why it happened. Back to my car, summarizing my original review the stripes have oxidized beyond repair in just 12-months. I asked that Dallas Dodge replace them, Dallas Dodge said it was a third party who did the work, the third party would not warranty and despite the fact that Dallas Dodge contracted with the party they too would not warranty. Upon further discussions Dallas Dodge said they would replace the stripes for $250. Really, in 12-months the stripes went bad but they would discount the replacement of the stripes. I said if I paid $.01 I would be paying too much. They later said how about $125... really. I bought a Dodge Challenger and they are quibbling over $125 when they should be warranting their product. The service Manager agreed but wasn't confident that the GM would do more. This was Monday night. After not hearing from the Service Manager on Tuesday, I called and left a message around 3:30 asking him for an update. I had not heard from him by 5:30 so I called to leave my final message. I left a message with the Service Manager saying their lack of action leads me to believe they will not address further. I said that unfortunately they've left me no choice but to find my own detailer to replace the stripes.... while trying to recoup my losses from Dallas Dodge in small claims court, which I will pursue. I said I would not contact them again, small claims was my only option. On or about the time Dodge made the offer of $125 I completed a Dodge survey and was painfully honest in my review... which leads me to Wednesday night. I received a call Wednesday night, 6/10/15 from the Service Manager who quickly began berating me, I wish I was kidding. He begins by yelling at me saying that he can't believe that I tore him up in my review. He tells me he's the only one trying to help me and I have the nerve to give him the review I did. He says then I threaten to sue him on top of that.... he is yelling, I am not kidding. I begin trying to calm him down... really, I'm trying to calm him down, but to no avail. He finally says fine...if it will make you happy I'll pay the other $125 to fix your car out of my own pocket... will that make you happy? I said I could not believe his tone, the tone of the phone call and told him to never call me again. He yells again... I'll pay $125... will that make you happy... I just want to make John happy. It's like a scene out of a bad movie. I had two other people who listened to part of the call, more than half of it. I told this to the guy, he said so what... I've got people listening on my end too. It was incredibly disturbing, he's yelling at me, not only would I not let this guy touch my car, given the volatility of the phone call, I don't want to go anywhere near him. I called to set up an appointment for A/C service on my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited back in January 2015. They found that I needed a refrigerant fluid line replaced. The service rep told me he would order the part and call me back in to replace it. They recharged the system so I paid for service and left. A few months rock on and it's May 22nd, 2015 and my A/C stops blowing cold air again. I call to check on the part that was ordered and to make an appointment for service. I called for 4 days getting voice mail of the service rep and leaving a message/number for him to call me back. I ask the receptionist if she could get me in contact with the service rep and she took a message from me and said she would hand delivery it to the rep...... Still no response back. It's going on 5 days of trying to contact someone and I ask the receptionist if she could forward me to another service rep and she did. Finally someone answers...... I explain my situation and he ask me to hold on the phone. I'm thinking he is checking on my vehicle. The phone rings and the original service rep that I have been trying to talk to for 5 days answers. I explain again my situation and he tells me that he has to check on the part and will get back to me in a few minutes. I didn't hear back from him that day. Next day I start calling with no success. I send out a couple emails to management through their website complaining about the lack of customer support and finally that evening around 6:00PM the service rep calls me back stating that he forgot to order the part for my Jeep..... Mind you that it was supposed to have been ordered back in January 2015. He tells me to bring my Jeep in on Monday 6/1/2015 to have it checked out. I call him on Monday and no answer. I call and leave messages with no response. I call the receptionist and ask if I can speak to a manager. She asks me what She asks me what my problem was and I explain. She forwards me on to someone else which I'm thinking it's a manager and then Carey (one of the service reps) answers the phone. I explained my situation to Carey. She told me she would take care of my Jeep and sure enough she did. I got the repairs needed and she also told me that my warranty covered a rental car for 5 days which no one else from Dallas Dodge told me that before. That was a great relief for my wife and I, as she would not have had transportation while Dallas Dodge was working on my Jeep. If I could have had this same experience as with Carey from the start of my experience of trying to get my Jeep serviced then Dallas Dodge would have received a 5 star rating. I personally feel that Carey should be in the service manager's position as the other service reps and management at Dallas Dodge could learn from Carey. She treats the customer the way they should be treated. Dallas Dodge is in the customer service business but they have the wrong management team in place to ensure that they stay in the customer service business...... Hello Dallas Dodge..... THE CUSTOMER IS KING!!!!! You might need to get Carey to TRAIN your service rep team and it wouldn't hurt for the management team to sit in on this training. read more

I have never heard of not covering the warrenty on a part due to having a rebuilt title . I went to the dealer to buy high quality parts and what i have gotten was a major waste of my time and money. I showed up at the dealership three mornings over a two week period only to be sent back to the house with nothing to show for my time, I paid 600+ dollars for a new not remanned rack-n-pinion unit . The parts dept. had to use my vin to get the part info but never said there was not warrenty coverage on anything i put on this truck, after installing the unit ( another 203.00 ) there is a ton of play in the steering wheel . At first the guys at the parts counter tried to convince me that " play in the wheel is normal ". When i showed them a video of me driving and the amount of play in the wheel they sent a tech to look at it , and he confirmed that it was a faulty unit. Now after multiple visits and multiple calls they will not cover installing the part or even replacing it. After reading a few review sites , this is normal business for them. read more

I took my Jeep Wrangler to the collision shop for some body work after an accident. I can't say enough about this shop. I forgot who I spoke with... but he was very upfront about the cost and work that needed to be done. They gave me several scenarios what could happen with the repair. I was always updated regarding my repair. The shop was clean and the staff was professional and friendly. On pickup, my jeep was like it was never damaged! Perfect work y'all!! Thank you so much. Definitely a recommended collision shop. I also bought my Jeep from Dallas Dodge. Also a very good experience!! read more

My key fob for my 2015 Dodge Durango went missing and I desperately needed it replaced as soon as possible. My service adviser, Tommy, was friendly, speedy, and very helpful. I was a little late picking up given that the service department closes at six, but Billy was there and helped me get my car so I could get up and running again! I will be returning in the future for anything my Dodge needs! read more
