First of all, Jeremy was kind, funny and professional. Their staff is also diverse and professional. The place is extremely clean and they are even thoughtful enough to have snacks and coffee. But the kicker for me? How thorough the inspection report was. The money was well worth it for the amount of detail that was put into the report and made me feel more educated on the condition of the vehicle. I certainly will be back.

TBH I knew it had been having an issue for years as I had to 'jiggle' it to get it to turn since forever. But I drove to a grocery store and upon leaving it literally would not turn. I got a ride home and found Christian Brothers. They called a tow truck for me. They gave me a courtesy ride from my home back to the car so I could give the tow truck driver the keys (fat lot of good that did but still). Front wheels totally locked up but the tow driver knew how to handle that. Once at CBA they gave me a courtesy ride home as well. Next day they gave an estimate. Great communication through calls and texts. Car was fixed following day. They gave me a list of other recommended repairs. As someone else said, not the cheapest but the best. If you're looking for a sub $100 fix, look elsewhere but if you want people who are professional and helpful, go here. I will return.

Based on what I told him was happening, he diagnosed the problem as being the thermostat and said he can get this repaired the next day. So I dropped off my car a couple of hours later and literally less than 24 hours my car was repaired and ready for pick up. I had already called the dealer and other shops just to get an idea of the cost I could expect and I actually paid a couple of hundred less here at Maximum Auto. Be patient if you leave a couple voicemails with days in between a call back (or weeks). When you're good it means you're busy. Then stop worrying once you're booked because this will be a less expensive journey than usual. You'll get a legit assessment of what needs done, and no pressure to change those filters or wiper blades (or timing belt) if you don't want to. No frills means low overhead; gravel lots with a few cars like the windows-down 2-door Mercedes parked means you're not paying for all the marketing. It's just car-fixing like it should be. Last time I went in thinking I needed a complete wiper reservoir replacement. Nope, just a wiper fluid hose for pretty cheap. We'll keep coming back since cars don't fix themselves. Currently I'm not at all fretting about our teenager's car we just had towed in after stalling in an intersection. How bad could it be? And of course I'll continue wondering how much he'd charge to get that old Mercedes in his lot back on the road. Probably just needs new wipers and an air filter, once we get that driver-side window closed.

Update! Kevin contacted me, via text after reading the…read morereview, asking that I take the review down and allow him an opportunity to come back out and look at the vehicle, free of charge. Kevin shared that he was at risk of losing his job and was a lead tech, although listed as the owner. 'Management' also contacted and asked that I take the review down and offered to refund the labor. At this point (2 days later) I had already taken the vehicle to the Toyota dealer, as his 'management' advised the vehicle was complex and initially declined looking at the vehicle without another charge. Toyota Diagnosis: improper fitting and installed spark plugs. Cost: 98$ inspection- which was deducted from repair cost. Repair cost total, including one day vehicle rental, 468.79$. I reached back out to Kevin and 'Management', via text and email, three consecutive days- excluding Sunday, explaining the outcome and requesting a partial refund (spark plugs, diagnosis, and labor). I have not received a response and am now seeking civil action. Receipts attached. Again, the purpose of this review is to bring awareness.

I've been using this place for years now…read more I like them #1 because they are the closest emissions check to my house and #2 conveniently located in the Acworth Walmart Supercenter parking lot also #3 they are quick, easy and polite. Just pull up to the "enter" side, if there is a line of cars, wait. When you're up they will wave you in and then give you hand signals to tell you where/when to stop the car. They will ask a few questions about the car, it's year and the odometer reading. Attach some equipment, take some readings, check your gas cap for leaks. Ask for payment - $25 and then your done. The results are sent automatically/electronically to the government and they immediately have your results. I really appreciate this shop being there and treating me well.
