This is a SCAM! The owner Larry Preston makes you put a deposit of half and then on the day of he text and says he won't be able to make it. Then offers to reschedule only to never show again and not return your deposit! It's atrocious how one will scam! I bought this French bulldog puppy for my 3 grandchildren ages 2,3 and 4. Only to be scammed by Larry Preston whom has since blocked calls. However he scammed the wrong person this time!!! Do not use him! Reporting him to every law enforcement I can cause I got time today!!!

This is how Larry, the owner- handles himself online when he tries to debate someone and has nothing to contribute other than his projections about he feels about himself and his own health

    Larry the crook

WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT GIVE THIS MAN YOUR MONEY!!! Two weeks ago we were told that three sessions for our daughter's puppy and our 2 yr. old dog would be $400 with a $200 deposit through Zelle because he's doesn't take PayPal or credit card. (I wonder why that is?) He was supposed to be here at 10 AM. He didn't even have the decency to contact us. My daughter had to reach out to him to which he replied that his car died the day before. The time to let us know that would have been that day. He said to give him a minute and he would get back to us. We didn't hear back from him until the next day, again only after initiating contact, and still no refund. I guess he was still at the shop all that ttime on a Saturday night. I wish I had seen the reviews on Yelp and the unfavorable ones on Google. It seems this is his M. O. Taking advance deposits from people and then reneging on his verbal contract by giving one excuse after another as to why he can't make it. Please see the attached screenshot of the conversation with our daughter proving this guy is an outright, LIAR, CON ARTIST, AND A THIEF!! He also likes to claim that people are making things up about him and that everybody's out to get him, and that parents and relatives of the perspective clients he has ripped off are leaving unfair reviews about him. Did you ever stop to think that it might have been their money that was given to their relative to pay for the service YOU were supposed to provide, Larry? Probably not. They're out to get their money, not you. Perhaps you should try providing excellent service, timely communication initiated by YOU, and not the client, as well as IMMEDIATE REFUND OF ALL MONIES PAID. I guarantee people will not be contacting you and leaving unfavorable reviews. People, please save yourself time, energy, and frustration by working with true professional, reputable trainers who have integrity and don't use perspective clients deposits to cover his poor financial choices because he's broke and strapped for cash. Your fur babies are worth it. If I have to make it my life's mission to ensure that nobody else ever gets taken by this so-called "Dallas Dog Whisperer", I will. By the way, Larry, if you are reading this, you will be hearing from our lawyer if you haven't already. I realize this is a small claims civil matter, but now it's about the principle seeing that you have done this to others, and you have not had any direct consequences. Once judgments against you for money start appearing on Google, I can assure you that your days as a dog trainer will be over. I await your reply to my review.

For the first hour Lauren provided some good information and things to try with Darwin to help him. After that she said she wanted to bring in her dog for Darwin to be around, I stated I wasn't really comfortable with Darwin being around another dog and I didn't think it was the best idea. Lauren assured us that her dog Mable was extremely friendly and did not care about other dogs (Mable is a pitbull mix that is only 1 year old and about 50 pounds)! As Mable was brought in Darwin was barking and growling (his normal), and Mable was ok but then she started growling and getting aggressive. Her hair was standing up and Lauren said she was just correcting Darwin, so we just kept watching which was a mistake. Mable snapped at Darwin's ribs and bit him. We didn't see he was bleeding until she left. The next day our dog was very lethargic and sore, he couldn't jump up on the couch or walk with out crying out. Lauren did send me Mable's medical records at my request and was made aware that Darwin was bleeding. She did not offer a refund for the training. We already knew our dog has issues to fix, that is why we hired her, now he is even more scared of other dogs. The good news is he is healed up, but we will never use this company again. Please make sure to communicate what you want and you know your dog better than anyone else, do not put them in danger.

I read Breyers' testimonials on Yelp and on Google, and I thought to myself, "This is too good to be true..." After working with Breyers, Bubba is calm on walks, walks directly next to me with no redirection, and has become a perfect gentleman at the vet! To say I was shocked with the results is an understatement. Breyers truly puts in the work, and helps you better understand your dog and their capabilities. He gave me the confidence to trust in Bubba again, and gave Bubba the skills to be the best dog he can be. I cannot rave about the results I've seen in him enough! The best part is, the longer we train and the more we work together on his skills, the better he gets! He was off leash in my front yard not too long ago, and came to me to get put on a leash with ease. If I could leave you with one bit of advice, it would be this: trust the process. Breyers is a professional with a successful training model, and it truly works if you have faith and are willing to put in the work. Bubba loves Breyers! Thank you for an excellent service, and for giving my dog back to me! You can teach an old dog new tricks!!

We bought a black lab puppy named Sierra from them in August of 2013. We brought her home for a couple months and worked on basic obedience with her. After a while it became clear we needed a professional to do some training. Our goal for Sierra was for her to be a well-rounded Diabetic Alert Dog. Brooks Labs took Sierra for 8 months. During that time I visited and saw her transformation. At the end of the 8 months her progress was phenomenal. She knows all of the basic obedience commands, has had extensive public access work, rides in a car well, and, of course, is a good alerter to low blood sugar. Brent Brooks also provides fantastic service 'after the sale.' We have kept in touch and he's always been extremely helpful with questions. I highly recommend Brooks labradors for puppies or for training. They are clearly very committed to what they do. A+

He was a rescue dog we got years ago that we assumed had no possibility of changing as we had tried multiple times to break this behavior. He was just scared of other people, but because he's so adorable people thought it was okay to pet him. Charlie had a habit of snapping at people when they did this, even when we warned the people not to do it. Fast forward to Pawtham, when we moved to the area my husband and Charlie moved first while I stayed behind for several months to wrap up things at work. So he needed a daycare to take Charlie to so that he wasn't home by himself too much. He found Pawtham online and called the facility to explain Charlie's behavior problems. They offered to try and take care of him even with his unique personality. Over time Charlie actually warmed up to the staff at the facility which made us so happy and trusting to know that they took the time and care he needed. We have not taken Charlie back to Pawtham because of COVID. My husband has been working mostly from home, but Charlie is now forever changed. When we take him to meet new people now we still have to give them warnings that he might snap at them, but somehow his time at Pawtham has allowed him to realize that people are "good" again. Now instead of there being no chance of him warming up to humans, it takes him a day or sometimes just hours and he's okay with being touched by them, which brings our heart so much joy!!!! If you love your dog and want them to have someone you trust care for them, use Pawtham! You won't be disappointed!!!
