Great location, a clean and cool environment, and good food! After visiting Horseshoe Bend, my husband and I visited the Dam Bar & Grille. Temperatures outside were easily 115 in the evening. We were hot, tired, and hungry. Upon entering Dam Bar, we were treated to a blast of cool air. They won my approval by that alone! The bar was uniquely designed in honor of Glen Canyon Dam. We were seated relatively quickly. Our waitress was fast, efficient, and charming. I had a Caesar and French Dip. It was delicious! My husband opted for a simple salad and fries. We felt so full by quickly drinking too many glasses of Coke, I was only able to eat 1/2 of my meal. It was very good! I would highly recommend it for lunch/dinner. The manager on duty was personable and welcoming! Service was ultimately supreme considering that most other places we visit (port-pandemic) barely provide any bit of service. read more

I tried to order some food at 8:50 p.m. on a Saturday night. Bartender said the kitchen is closed, I said is this a joke? He said no a 30 top came in and we are not serving food to any other customers. Saw this place driving through town!! Would NOT recommend this place!! My ahi tuna salad was fair, the fish tacos were bland no taste, the Alfredo dish very cold and NO flavor, fish was on rotten lettuce. The salmon sandwich was fairly good. Our waiter was VERY slow and not much personality. We had to ask for refills of water and condiments. Our food was sitting up for awhile and took WAY too long!! This place was conveniently located next door to the antelope canyon tour drop off and my boyfriend and I were starving after our tour so we decided to eat here. We each got a flatbread pizza and a side salad. The pizzas were bigger than I was expecting - definitely enough for 2 people. The food was fine, nothing to write home about but it did the trick. The service was pretty slow though. The restaurant wasn't super busy but we had to wait about 15 minutes just to get our order taken, another 15 to 20 to get our food and probably at least 10 after we asked for the check. read more

Worse service or should I say non service ever!!! Waited 10 minutes to be seated but restaurant was pretty empty. Once seated, 3-4 workers walked by and never acknowledged us nor offered water. Waiter went to table next to us and took away their dishes and asked if they wanted anything. Not one word to us about we'll be right there or anything. She went to next table three times and nothing to us. Not sure if they didn't want to serve Asians but seemed pretty coincidental that service was there for all the white patrons but not us. Racism does exist but didn't think it would be here in Arizona. #Sorry not sorry #racismexists Gladly went over to Tapatio where people were nicer and not racist!!! Tried to go to State 48 but they were packed- just wanted to have a few local brews after a long day of hiking. This wasn't a bad plan B! Had some nachos and a few beers- ordered a flight but the bartender didn't write down which beers I ordered, so she ended up not giving me the correct beers. I didn't mention anything to her but was bummed to not have received the beers that I ordered. A little on the pricier side, but we were just glad to have a place to relax after a long day. My wife and I went to Lake Powell this weekend and wanted steak Saturday night. Looked on Yelp and were disappointed with all the poor reviews for steakhouses. Decided to try Dam Bar and Grill. The service was excellent from seating to leaving, but it was off season and there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. Our server gave us a few minutes to look at the menu and we were both ready. We both got sirloins. After finishing salads, the steaks came. Both were supposed to be cooked medium. Mine was thick and cooked perfectly. It tasted great. My wife's was a different story. It was much thinner than mine and cooked far too well done. It also had poor flavor, perhaps because it was so well done. Our server stopped by and asked how things were. After hearing our complaint about my wife's steak, she said she'd send the manager over. We had our choice of ordering something else, not paying for the steak, or trying another steak. We opted for another steak. It came out within a few minutes. It was the same size as mine had been, was perfectly cooked, and tasted great. We'll come here again. It would have a 5-star rating if they'd got both steaks right the first time. But even with the glitch the food was great and the service excellent. read more

We had dinner here during our recent trip to the Lake Powell area. The vibe is casual and the food is delicious! Many TV's so you can watch different sports. I had the chicken fried steak, which is one of their specialties. My husband had the flat iron steak. Both were excellent! We enjoyed our meals with locally brewed beer, which was an added bonus. Dessert was an amazing cookie dough sundae! I highly recommend this to place... nice, clean bar and grill and really nice staff! Can't go wrong here! read more

I can't complain about service or food. The pizza alone was worth it. Steak wasn't over cooked and seasoned well. The food is actually tastier than other sports bars like BJs/Chilis & Applebees. Price is comparable. Service and wait time is also comparable. I'm not gonna dwell on why people gave this place 2 stars or less. (Haters goin hate) I didn't have to ask for refills either. That's worth a 18+% tip alone. Staff were very nice and pulled well as a team. (You can tell they're understaffed) Worst con was the seating wait, which isn't worth complaining about, since you can kill time at the adjoining gift shop. I actually came in with low expectations, and left pleasantly surprised. I'll probably come back here on my next return to Page. I'd like to try ordering from their dessert menu. read more

If you are a tourist coming to Page to see canyons avoid this place at all cost. They were keeping us in line for 40 min though many tables were available and they they sitting locals without waiting a second. Eventually the sat us at the table that was shaking and told us that if we want to move to another table we will have to wait another 40 min. My girlfriend cut her finger by a pin in her chair and when I asked for the first aid kit the hostess told me she is too busy now!!!! Eventually I ask for manager and she brought a band aid. Also as a courtesy she brought us some "appetizers on the house" but when I look all other tables were getting the same free appetizers. This place is disrespectful for tourists!!! My mechanic suggested we go here while waiting for my van repair. We had puppies with us and were able to sit on the spacious, shaded patio with them. Server was wonderful, food was very good. Highly recommend the fries and Homemade Apple Cobbler. read more

If i were to revisit Page, AZ, i would not come back to this place. Food was really sub par for me and we had to wait FOREVER for our food to come out. We'd never been to the Lake Powell area before, and after getting JACKED on price and selection in the casual-dining restaurant at Lake Powell Resort, we sought out a good, yummy deal in Page. We drove/walked around, looking in windows and at menus, and chose the Dam Bar & Grille. We were very pleased with our experience. First, we got very tasty and affordable cocktails in the bar--with great service. Next, we met our very excellent waiter, Chris--such a good server I remember his name five days later! I had the lobster pasta. A half order was still pretty large, and the dish was very good--reasonable amount of lobster for the price. Can't recall what hubby ate, but he was happy. Little girls shared very good Chicken Alfredo. Eleven year-old son tried--on a bet!--to finish the Dam Big Burger. The DBB was DELICIOUS, but DAM GIGANTIC! Poor little guy almost finished the thing (which weighs TWO LBS., fully dressed). I begged him to stop! He was able to eat about 90% of that monster burger, but gave up when he remembered that the "prize" for winning the bet was MORE FOOD! (Chris had offered to buy him dessert.) We would recommend the Dam Bar & Grille to anyone visiting the Lake Powell area. It's every bit as good as similar joints in big cities. The prices are reasonable for a tourist area. I'm in town with a group working at the power plant for a few weeks. They have taken me here twice this week. I didn't like it either time, but the options a pretty limited in Page! For starters, the service is really slow! The next thing I noticed is that the iced tea tastes awful. When I ordered it, I said NO LEMON - as I always do. When it arrived, I didn't see a lemon, but I could taste it. Then I saw a big, fat lemon seed sinking slowly to the bottom of the glass. Thanks for listening!! I'm SURE that when they remembered that I didn't want lemon in my tea that they didn't just stick their dirty fingers in the glass and take it out. Maybe that's why it tasted so bad. I had fish and dam chips the first time. Frozen fish swimming in oil. Tasted bad and left me with an upset stomach. On my next visit I had the special which was fajitas. Fajitas suck because you have to assemble them yourself. I knew that and was prepared to do the work. The waitress did not provide a plate to assemble the fajitas on and never came by to check on me. So I tried to hold the tortilla on one hand and fill it with the other. Didn't work so well. The beef was leathery and the vegetables didn't taste fresh. VERY disappointing. I only ate about half of it. I just wasn't good at all. Bad fajitas, horrible tea and lousy service. $24 and they expect a tip? Not happening. On our second visit the other guys also expressed their disgust with this place. So that's six of us that won't be back. read more

Went here with the family. The service was good but there food was just - Okay. The highlight was the tomatoes on my side salad.... I ordered a burger with onion rings on it. Can't remember the name. The dam chips were good they served it with - a kind of seasoned waffle fry. My daughter's got the chicken parmesan and weren't thrilled. My kids meal kids got the Mac and cheese and liked it. We ate here on a recent visit to Lake Powell. We were pleasantly surprised. We encountered a wait when we first arrived even though the restaurant did not seem completely full. Perhaps they did not have enough waitstaff? However, we were seated after about 20 minutes and service after that was excellent. Food came out very quickly. Some highlights among our order include the potato skins as a starter, the Santa Fe salads (a house specialty) and a big bowl of fried chicken and mashed potatoes. Decent bar and grille type place. We ate here twice while in Page. The cheese fondue appetizer is awesome. The pizza was great. The breadsticks were great. Burgers not bad. Fish tacos good. The soup of the day was good too. The salads and wings, not so much!! The waitstaff is friendly. However, waitstaff seems understaffed and food takes a LONG time to come out. We waited probably 40-45 mins both times. I don't like wasting that much time in a restaurant when I have better things to do on vacation! We missed a sunset because of the wait. Not too shabby! They get a lot of mileage out of the "dam" puns. We ordered the nachos. They are a mountain of nachos. They're the type of delicious southwest style nachos with all the colored chips and jalapeños and whatnot. Tasty though it could have come out hotter. The chip-to-condiment ratio was impressive! The place is indeed spacious. Bar with a fortress of tvs so that's good, if you're into that. I'm not- but hey, it's America! Open the whole year it seems.
