    Japanese Maple

This family-owned nursery is not the largest, but Mrs Damanakis is very sweet with helpful knowledge and will assist you to help you find what you're looking for. They have a good number of drought tolerant plants, I just found out they have a good collection of hard to find persimmon trees too! ($60 ea for 4-5 ft.) And just picked up 2-3 year Acer Palmatum Japanese Maple Tree that should be bright orange in the fall ($20). A great stop stop when shopping...

Saw the beautiful pictures and high rating on Yelp, so we had to come by. The entrance to the nursery was a bit confusing as there were no markings to which area we should enter. We were greeted by a nice lady that asked us if we needed anything in particular. Then she let us roam around on our own, which was greatly appreciated as we just wanted to browse and get some Rose bushes and Marigolds. This place is not like some of the nurseries I've been to, where there is a plethora of colorful flowers and plants in various stages to garden. This place is more for those that are hardcore Landscapers. There were some fruit trees in their very early stages of fruiting, there were plenty of plants, but looked a bit on the dry side. I get it...there's a drought. The many different types of trees were nice and of course I love seeing all the Japanese Maple trees, but we didn't see anything that caught our eye. Tip: Wear shoes/boots. Parking lot and nursery is on Dirt.

What are the business hours here? I've visited a few times but they were always closed.

Tuesday-Sunday 9am-6pm. Sure they may close at random times as it is a family business. But I have been there a few times in the afternoon and they are open.

Do they happen to carry split leaf philodendron?

Sorry Angie. Unfortunately, we do not carry philodendron. Please let us know if there is anything else we can help with! =)

In this clients yard, we were asked to soften these boulders that another contractor installed, but did not leave any planting pockets.

I asked if it was a tree, bush, plant, or flower, how long it usually takes to get in stock, and if she could tell me anything about it. Instead of getting help, I was met with constant interruptions and one word answers like, "Nope," or "I don't know." It honestly felt like she couldn't wait to get rid of me. Her tone, facial expressions, and overall attitude came across as irritated from the second I started talking. She looked visibly angry, like she was annoyed that I even asked a question. It was one of the most uncomfortable customer service interactions I've had. So rude and unpleasant and unprofessional. I think her conversation and chit chatting with her coworkers was more important. I've spent a lot of money at this nursery over the years, and I drove out expecting knowledgeable, friendly service. Instead, I was treated with disrespect. The only reason I didn't say more in the moment was because I was with my wife and didn't want to make a scene. If interacting with customers makes you that miserable, customer service probably isn't the right position. One employee's attitude is enough to lose loyal customers, and that's exactly what happened today. I won't be coming back due to Gianna. It's honestly sad and I'm genuinely embarrassed for you.
