I had already filled out the paperwork online, so there was no need for me to be there so early. The dentist was pleasant and thorough . She did my exam and reviewed the procedures she recommended. Then, the insurance girl came in to talk about what my insurance covers. I told her all I wanted today was the cleaning. For some reason that price was now $75 instead of the $25 they told me it would be when I first arrived. I paid the $75. Finally, the hygienist came in to clean my teeth. She was very friendly and she did a great job cleaning my teeth. On my way out, I noticed they had a sign in the window that said a cleaning, exam, and x-rays was $59 for new patients. I'm not sure why I was charged $75, even with my insurance, if they're only charging other new clients $59. Overall, the medical professionals at this office were professional and competent. The wait time and total visit time took too long. And I feel like I overpaid considering they charged me more with insurance, than they do people without.

After seeking several second opinions, I was told by other dentists that some of the recommended treatment recommendations, including crowns, were aggressive and unnecessary. That raised serious red flags for me. I also began to feel uncomfortable with the front office staff. There was noticeable pressure to agree to additional services, and when I asked questions or declined treatment, the response sometimes felt dismissive. Because of these experiences, I decided it was best to switch providers. I hope they can refocus on consistency, patient communication, and more conservative treatment recommendations in the future.
